As noted in the video you can put the flag stops on facing both ways. I have two flag stops on my fence so I can cut two sizes without adjustment. The stop nearest the track has the flag towards the track and the other one faces away so that you can cut up to the end of the fence rather than the end less the stop length. Excellent product.
what a great post - thanks
Minor comments: I have one of these fence systems and I really like it. I found a squirt of the silicone WD40 in the top channel helps the flag stops move really smoothly.
I'd prefer it if it were one or two millimetres shorter to eliminate the risk of the tracksaw's blade touching the fence. Then use the method suggested by Peter Millard to calibrate the system.
As I said, I really like the fence. However, I reeeeaaaalllly like the 175mm carpenter's square, which instantly became my go-to tool for checking... well, pretty much everything that can be measured by it. It just has a lovely feel to it and is dead-on accurate and easy to use.
(I also have a rail square, another super Benchdogs tool.)
Very happy with mine. Great piece of kit
Just received the sustainer kit. Simply outstanding addition to my kit. Quality great and accuracy is spot on. Now I hope BD makes an adapter to widen the rip fence to 24” as that would greatly increase the CSC’s capacity.
Santa bought me this for xmas. Superb superb. Have been using this all morning.will post on Instagram latersss. Awesome service and advice as per normal
Great products and great service from Benchdogs as always
Nice! I didn’t realise Benchdogs had a channel, subscribed!
Hi, since you are constantly improving, are you working on a new Benchdogs Fence (newer than the 2.1)? I will be ordering soon and I don't want to order if something new will come out later this year. Thanks!
Hi. No we are happy with the product and has no need to make any changes to it.
Would you recommend a 1000mm or 1200mm fence for a MFT3 or MFT1080? You wouldn't use a right fence on a table this small by itself correct? What is the advantage of the quad dogs over the fence dogs?
can you purchase the holders to the Mft table to use with the fence for the Festool table saw? John from So. California.
Are the raw extrusions extruded in the UK? Or imported? And if imported what is the country of origin of that raw material?
So what exactly is the difference between the Mk2 fence and the version 2.1? I need a fence for my Kreg ACS track saw and can’t tell the difference from this video.
The mk2 has a 200mm add on and the ver2.1 has the under rail support is machined out of the extrusion
@@Benchdogtoolsis there benefits for being able to remove the under rails support? I’m leaning towards the Mk2 as you can make 8 inches longer. Is that correct? Thank you.
Will there also be an adaptor for the TKS 80?
nice video!
Im getting one of these!!
But what do you do with it?
Hi their is their any reason why all my numbers have worn of my benchdog fence system
Not worn. Just use a alcohol wipe and wipe with a dry cloth straight away and it will bring it back to life.
Hey team, recently purchase the 1000 mk2 and want to get it square to the mft hinge and track.
I’m struggling so was wondering if this system only works with track dogs for the track itself.
Hi Casey.
No problem we can help you solve any issues. Can you ping us a email with some photos of your setup and we can see where we can assist you further.
@@Benchdogtools I purchased the quad dogs with 40mm shafts. I’ve also purchased Dave Stanton’s dog locks which work great. My new issue is that the cut line is over a column of holes in the festool mft top. What would you recommend doing? I can see it’s the same in this video?
@@caseys717 Hi Cassey, that is the known issue with this setup. Use our benchtop protectors, which will create a void between your workpiece and the table. This will prevent this, or using the guide rail dogs as it moves the cut line in between the rows of holes. Hope this helps.
Can you make some high end squares (cf woodraphic) ?
We have some coming very soon. We just changed the design slightly to add an extra feature
Why do you just show the fence system and do not work with it?
What benefit would you get from a seeing a cut?
@@Nunyabizn3ss i think it make sense to see how to handle the tool with wood in different heights and widths. So you can see the benefits instead of just telling me?!
