I tried the sock bun last night and it honestly changed my life. My bf even gave me a compliment and wondered why I would sleep in it (he thought it was for going out). And it made the most beautiful curls in my hair. Totally comfy to sleep on, no more fuzzy locks from the night braid (my hair is really fine too). THANK YOU LUCY ♡♡♡
Haha - I am used to hearing “wear a bun” (thick, wavy hair) but I always wake up with a headache (the weight goes the wrong way on the roots) 😱 so I actually prefer a loose braid 😜

I got bangs a few days ago, and i am so grateful i have a silk pillowcase on hand, they stay perfectly styled through the night. also a great thing to have to avoid damaging the rest of you're hair
Hi, Lucy! I was googling how to fix my hair when i go to bed cuz i usually leave it down and wake up with a tangled mess! I'm trying to take better care of my hair! I had one of those phone cord pony tail holders but I always thought it was weird and just good for when your going swimming. I finally used it for sleeping with a loose high pony last night and sure enough, NO CREASES! Amazing. Thanks for the tip!!! I will have to try the other ones later! :) Have a great day!
I have fine hair and a do the second one ALL THE TIME. I love it because it is secure and leaves my hair pretty and wavy. With thin hair I can’t do night styles with wet hair because my hair will still be wet or end up frizzy. But otherwise I love the tips! Thank you! 😊

A good way to avoid the straight ends when I use braids to make it wavy is to only pull halfway at the last wrap and leave it in a loop. I use those tiny disposable elastics and two tight French braids. Although I do have a light perm now so any curling method holds better.
These are so cute. I have medium long length hair and I do that first one a lot , usually after washing and curling my hair.

Finally my boyfriend will not have all of my hair in his face every night. :D My hair got shorter so I cannot braid it like before but these styles will help, thank you.
When I had bangs with my fine hair, I usually twisted them in one strand and pinned that with a very soft clip away (hair velcro stripes are also great). Only then my bangs wouldn't get greasy over night from my moisturizer :(

I try to make sure that when I wash my hair, either curl it or straighten , that I pull it up very gently into a loose “ top-knot “ , kind of like the first one . It works nicely, sometimes I just let it down , since I have a satiny pillow case .
Very helpful , i always sleep with a braid but im getting tired of the braid curls i get the next day .

@Loepsie How often do you have to wash your bangs? Is there a trick to not having to wash your whole hair because the bangs start to get greasy?

Can I use the first way after oiling my hair
my hair is almost the same as yours, yet abit shorter . i tried a million ways to do my hair to sleep , n found that the best thing is to let it be free.and the bangs. in the morning , its a bit curly , in a good way.
I use the twisty bun method but I use as elastic or scrunchie

the next time I tear through a sock, I'll makes sure to turn it into a bun loop ^^ My cinnamon buns usually turn out a bit too tight and leave me with a fat crease throughout the hair, while topknots just disintegrate XD So a sock bun is a very appealing option
I like to braid my hair upside down when going to bed. I start from my neck and put a ponytail on the top of my head, that way the curl pattern is more even with thin hair and it gives volume.

They take a little while to get use to , so dont give up ! I bet they are cute though , I had them for 30 + years and just let them grow out for the past 2 years but thinking about getting them cut again ,

Lol I feel the opposite. I have really fine hair and have a hard time doing hairstyles.
Maybe the next time you go to the hair salon, ask your stylist if there is any way to thin hair or if they can thin it down

I usually wear mine in a cinnamon bun on top of my head secured with two claw clips on each side. It makes really secure, comfortable, easy to make bun, it also makes no kinks in the hair. I hate the braid too.

Okay so:::: I'm going to cut my hair in some days, cuz it is hard to braid tchem like- I'm always getting mad trying to do some braids, they aren't thick i think, but they are very long so like- It takes me 30 minutes to make a proper braid, or maybe i should do two braids… I wil try it out tomorrow, because i don't want to ruin my braid. Also, i should try a bun

To me, wearing a braid is v simple but I'm trying to figure put my true hair texture and braids make my hair wavy, and I want to see my natural waves
Unfortunately my hair is super curly naturally and I straighten it with a flat iron 80-90% of the time so no matter what I usually end up having to touch up my bangs in the morning. (And sometimes the rest of it if there's wrinkles.) I'll straighten my hair the day I wash it and then let it go for a couple days after without washing. This way I don't have to heat style the Whole thing every day.

@ Loepsie & anyone else: Been looking for various care methods for my hair but I find nothing except for fine hair. My hair is fine but it's also very very thick. So fine hair advice doesn't work for me and frustrates me. So I do nothing with my hair no matter the length because I don't know what to do. If anyone reading this has the same problem please like the comment. And if anyone has any style or care advice for FINE THICK hair please tell me. I'm desperate for them :(
Omg, my hair almost reaches the middle of my back now and I never tie, braid, or wrap my hair before bed like at all. Actually, I rarely brush my hair at all, maybe like 1-2 a week only and my hair is like super straight like 1 on good day and 2a on bad day 🤦🏻♀️ doing it wrong my whole life...
