@@opalfishsparklequasar8663 A senior came up to me at church and said "I'm always so happy to see your hair! It makes me realize my hair doesn't have to be perfect, either." Oof. There's always that one who does care. The hard part is learning not to live for that person's approval.
I alway did that, when my hair was longer, never called them Milkmaid braids though, but "fake crown braid". Now that my hair is just below shoulder lenght I tried Milkmaid braids for the first time ever because my hair doesn't reach around anymore. So this is unfortunately not an option for me at the moment. But it sure looks pretty! :D
This has changed my hair game. I have long hair but work with kids in a humid environment and doing my hair this way with a thin scarf braided through and knotted on top holds it up all day with only a few pins. THANKS!!!
I've mastered the middle parted heidi braid way and don't know why you knock it so hard. It's so cute and classic! I was still excited to try this, but I gave it a go, and I'll be sticking to the way that you seem to have disdain for lol.
Thank you so much! It made milkbraids so much easier to do. Tip if your hair too short then you can try doing a half up half down version using only the top half of the hair.
Oh...haha. I have spent years trying to work out how to deal with the extra plaits at the top...thinking it was something complicated like a French plait and then you just clipped them underneath. Now I will try this 😊. Thank You.
It looks very sweet. Finaly I know the german name for it: Gredlfrisur. An 82 year old woman told me they wore this hairstyle as she was a child. Such a good idea to avoid the parting! I must try it!
Ohhh I've always wanted to try this, but it seemed so complicated and I really don't like the parting down the middle! I haven't been able to go to the hairdresser in ages, so this hairstyle is perfect 😂
I just started my job as a nurse after graduation and wanted a quick and easy updo that looks neat but still cute and found your video, been wearing this for a week now, thank you!
it's actually really smart way to do it and it still looks really beautiful. I tried other ways but its just so tiring and my head feels heavy. thanks a lot for this video of yours
I love this! It really looks good. And I hadn't quite realized it but my head is kind of flat in the back. I love updos but because I live in a very warm climate and perspire on my head so much, I need to have my hair up but the flat back of the head problem is a factor. Thank you! On another issue, I had discovered and ordered a heatless curl device that I need to pass on to you. When I saw it, I thought of you. I will do that.
Oh thank you! My braids in a front are thinner then before and hiding my lighter ends (I'm natural blond) is a little bit complicated but back braids look a way more better and fuller! :D I will try this again in the future for sure :D
I'm currently growing my hair out from a chin length cut, and will have to give this a try when once it's long again. I just made it past my shoulders.
Oooo I love it like this! I'm lucky and my hair is long enough that each braid wraps completely around my head so I get a full crown to hide my part. I'll keep this one in mind if I ever cut it!
I agree the first parting style always felt weird to wear in the past when I had longer hair. I’m going to try this though my hair is currently only shoulder length or failing that, try again when longer :D P.s. I love the pink dress
This is wonderful. I always hated the uneven parts I'd get on the back of my head when I did this before. I tried it last night and am never going back to the other method.
My hair is 3ft long I hope I can do this without looking dumb 😭 I literally said "ohhhhh" out loud when you demonstrated the braiding 🤣 so simple, yet it never crossed my mind!
I tried this on the medium length hair (slightly long than shoulder length). It obviously doesn't reach the top but with some practise and a lot of hair grips, I think it'll look nice
Ive always seen this style in movies, and when i tried at home, i could never get it, never understood what i was doing wrong, THANKYOU for showing me how to get it right!!
I have a face that tends towards the childish. It has helped me maintain a youthful appearance, however, a back part looks ridiculous on me. Thanks so much for the tip. I wonder if something like this would work for Chinese buns?
It looks better than traditional. More modern and chic. I have very long hair that tangles really easily so I'm always looking for ways to put it up, get it out of the way and protect it. My hair gets caught on everything and in doors and car windows if it's always left down. Plus I have to brush tangles out several times a day and it's not good for it.
Why did I not think of this before. Thank you. Tomorrow is sorted.
This is perfect because I can finally stop worrying the whole day about whether I parted my hair evenly and people are judging 🙃
When you get older,
you'll realise no one cares about your hair.
It will be very freeing.

I’ve stared at people’s wonky parts, not because I’m judging, but because I’m realizing that I’m not the only one who’s imperfect.
i always have an uneven parting and I don't care it really doesn't matter that much
A) you can always do a deliberately uneven parting.
B) you can use a hand mirror to check your part before you braid to see that it's even.
Shout out to all the flat headed ladies ✌
What'sit Toyou i see you too ✌🏽
Heyoooo! 👉👉
Whoo!
Heree

My hair won't even grow long enough to do this style and I'm too uncoordinated to do a crown braid :'( lol
Hair extensions!!!!!
Bam problem solved
I don't know why I've never done this. It's such a logical fix. Thanks for spiffing up my braids!
I absolutely love this look with the fringe bang. So adorable
This was actually helpful. I never thought of that.
Thank you for this tutorial. I had struggled with this updo, you show it clearly. From 2 days im wearing it and love it ❤
This is BRILLIANT. I wear this style all the time and was always bothered by the back. Thank you for this!!
Simple, polished, and pretty. Can't wait to try this!
You just changed the game. I've never worn milk maid braids out because I hate the back parting. You win a cookie! 🍪
Love how your bangs are cut. Thanks for sharing.
a single twist and it looks so much nicer! love it

THIS IS SO OBVIOUS AND SUCH A GREAT IDEA. I can't believe how easy it was and how much better it looks. Thank you!
Thank you so much! It made milkbraids so much easier to do. Tip if your hair too short then you can try doing a half up half down version using only the top half of the hair.
So simple and I would never had tried it this way on my own. I am stunned. Thank you for sharing

Certainly doing this on my step daughters lovely long hair. Thank you for sharing.

I need a bangs tutorial! Love how yours are cut!
I love this! Thank you! Now to grow out my hair so I can try it 😅
Ohhh I've always wanted to try this, but it seemed so complicated and I really don't like the parting down the middle! I haven't been able to go to the hairdresser in ages, so this hairstyle is perfect 😂
another technique is to split your hair in four, cross the two top sections and then braid as you normally do
You look super lovely with this hairstyle ❤
I just started my job as a nurse after graduation and wanted a quick and easy updo that looks neat but still cute and found your video, been wearing this for a week now, thank you!
Wow! So much better that the way that I made! I will adopt this way. Thanks from Brazil.
Girl you are a life saver
I was looking for a solution for ages
Thank you 😍
Lovely. Quick and easy.
it's actually really smart way to do it and it still looks really beautiful. I tried other ways but its just so tiring and my head feels heavy. thanks a lot for this video of yours
GENIUS!! Such a great tip and looks waaaay better!
Catch me wearing this hairstyle every day to work from now on, this is so cute and easy!

Wow... love it. Easy and beautiful.
I love this, very simple and a nice switch up from wearing my hair down or in a messy bun/ponytail!
Oh thank you!
My braids in a front are thinner then before and hiding my lighter ends (I'm natural blond) is a little bit complicated but back braids look a way more better and fuller! :D
I will try this again in the future for sure :D
OMG thank you! I’m 😂 for never thinking of this and so grateful you did and shared it
I never thought ANY hair style could actually look beautiful on me 🥹 ty for the tut! 💛🙏
This was sooo easy to follow. Thank you 💗
I'm currently growing my hair out from a chin length cut, and will have to give this a try when once it's long again. I just made it past my shoulders.

P.s. I love the pink dress
Love this! I have tape in extensions and this is the best way to hide them but still have a cute hairstyle! 🖤
Finally!! Thanks for the tutorial 😭❤this very easy, why i dont think about this before
Thank you so much, I was always wondering, why this hairstyle looked so odd on my flat head and definitely needed this enlightenment!
Thanks for your hair tutorial...now I learned a new way to braid my hair. 😉
This is wonderful. I always hated the uneven parts I'd get on the back of my head when I did this before. I tried it last night and am never going back to the other method.
This is the hair video I have been looking for
Hi Lucy! Hope you're cultivating happiness :D Have a great time!
Lots of love 💕
My hair is 3ft long I hope I can do this without looking dumb 😭 I literally said "ohhhhh" out loud when you demonstrated the braiding 🤣 so simple, yet it never crossed my mind!
I love it! It looks so much better.
You look like a doll! You’re so beautiful 😍
SO SIMPLE. SO PERFECT. Thank you!
Such a helpful tip! Thank you :)
This is the tutorial I've been waiting for ! Thank you !
Very nice solution. Thank you for sharing.
This is genius! You’re a genius! 😄 Thankyou Lucy!
I tried this on the medium length hair (slightly long than shoulder length). It obviously doesn't reach the top but with some practise and a lot of hair grips, I think it'll look nice
Same, and I still have layers that are growing out.
I do a crown braid that I really like, but I never thought of pulling the braid in opposite directions like this!
So cute love this version ! Thank u
This is such a simple easy solution I feel stupid I've never thought of it before. Thank you so much!
This is such a good idea because whenever I part my hair in the back it never looks even haha. Thanks for the video! c:
Hahaha 😂
Me: oh I wanna try this!
Also me: wait, I just quarantine cut my hair short -.-
This is so clever! Thank you!
Such a simple genius trick! Thank u :)
YES finally an easy way to do this! thank youu!
What a smart cookie. I clicked thinking you were going to teach us all a neat trick. Turns out you taught common sense.
I’m so trying this style out today!
I recommend wearing your hair in milkmaid braids when you're on a plane/taking a flight. It sits flat, off of your neck, and all accounted for.
YOU MAM R A LEGEND
That's genius! I would never have thought about that.
Ooh this is really pretty❣❣ ..And easy to tweaks! 👏🏽🙌🏽 Thank you dear ! 🙏🏽💕💕🤗
I will save your nice video in my playlist.⚓😍
Greetings, Sandy😘
Ive always seen this style in movies, and when i tried at home, i could never get it, never understood what i was doing wrong, THANKYOU for showing me how to get it right!!
Thank you for this. Such a great trick
Oh this is so smart! I can't wait to try it tomorrow!
I never liked milk maid braids I always felt they looked childish but how you did them really does look for sophisticated and classy. Love it
So cute and classy!
Great idea!!! Loved it!!!! Thanks
Awww this was so simple!!! Why couldn't I figure that out myself!! Well it the method for now on!
This is such a gamechanger. 😂
You have the same issue I do (flat head) and this might just change my life. 😂
Beautiful simple very nice easy!!
Thanks can't wait to try this next time I do my hair like that
My mind is blown! Thank you!
This is brilliant! Thank you for sharing ❤️
this is AWESOME thank you!!
This is great, thanks for sharing!!
Oh thank you so much for this, I've been looking for tutorial for this hair but yeah I hate the way it looks because of the parting...
Thank you for sharing!! I always liked the look of milkmaid braids but I can't part the back of my hair in anything resembling a straight line.
I have a face that tends towards the childish. It has helped me maintain a youthful appearance, however, a back part looks ridiculous on me. Thanks so much for the tip. I wonder if something like this would work for Chinese buns?
It's awesome! I love it it's looks nice on you💝💝💝
Você é incrível e aprendi muito com você tudo que gosto de fazer ❤
Pretty. I will try it today 👍
It looks better than traditional. More modern and chic. I have very long hair that tangles really easily so I'm always looking for ways to put it up, get it out of the way and protect it. I love your bangs #goals
I like it much better in this new way, it doesn't have the weird floppy things on the ears!
Omg I can braid, but I can’t French braid so this is PERFECT!!! Just need my hair to be a bit longer- also need to stop asking for so many layers
This is genius!!!
Thank you for solving my existential question.
