Just the fact that's he's still going and can still hold his own is impressive. He's in his 70s for goodness sake!
Young Coverdale was a monster tho.
You should do Coverdale live with Deep Purple doing Mistreated from 1975. Or the live Whitesnake recording of Ain't No Love in the Heart of the City
I appreciate your great analysis videos!
Thanks Victor
Your channel is great!!! Great! I have several links to videos of Coverdale singing live, I separated them to send to a teacher, until today no one has used them, which is sad. There are great old videos of him and other acoustic ones on the whitesnake channel.
Thank you!
So good 🇧🇷🇧🇷 Brazil here
i would love u to react to the version of john sykes who is actually who wrote all best whitesnake 1987 catalogue of songs and created that sound...also he have a really particular voice and sing style...
Sure he may not be where he was 30 years ago. But I still bet that nearly all of those critics can't even sing half as good as his does now!!!
Beth, while we're here on 80's hair-bands, ya gotta check out Steelheart for me!!!!! My favorite singer from this era and style. If you're not familiar yet, you're gonna flip!
Steelheart - I'll Never Let You Go (Official Video)
ua-cam.com/video/F-nyeiKk35M/v-deo.html
I didnt know he was from Deep Purple
Analysis Gigi Delana please
Wow, this one's super quiet
Note that this is dropped maybe about a third from the original version...he's changing this to suit his capabilities now. Not a darn thing wrong with it except for a little cognitive dissonance if you grew up with it.
Please react to persian music.
I promise is that so cool and enjoy of ther.
Please do that.
If you decide to do it, tell me and I will introduce you some songs.
Coverdale lost a ton of vocal power between Live in London 2004 and this performance in 2011. Only to be expected, however, given age and surgery.
This song is very pretty, amazing lyrics, but the man himself is offensive. I saw him in concert and the things he was saying on stage between songs were a real turn off.
He wrote this song for Tina Turner to sing
It would be great to see what you make of Coverdale in the classic Whitesnake era. Then he truly could blow everyone away
Yes or in purple
Is it just me, or is the audio on this extremely quiet? I had to turn it all the way up & can still hardly hear it. (Seems like that was the case on another recent reaction you did as well.) I sure enjoy your musical insights on these videos, Beth--hope the audio issues get worked out so I don't have to miss anything! 😊
Why is the volume so low? Almost have to have the volume on full on the phone! Many people on youtube do NOT make sure that the volume is set high enough during editing!
Too many people don't get this right!
You can't use earplugs because you'll damage your ear when advertising comes on!!!!
Need to turn up the audio of the music ur analyzing
You should react to his first live performance with Deep Purple at 1974 California Jam... the song "Mistreated" is an inhuman vocal performance. If that performance were all he ever gave us, it would be worth it.
Unfortunately not the powerhouse vocalist he used to be. Vocally had was better before his surgery pre 1987.
I love your reviews, but your audio output is sooooooooooooo low compared to other channels. I really have to turn up the volume, just for your videos xx
This was the first song I ever slow danced too all the way back in prom of high school. It's a masterpiece.
I think a performance of Coverdale in his actual prime (70s-80s) would be a good follow up choice. Deep Purple- Mistreated from California Jam 74. Also please react to Iron Maiden with Paul Di'Anno.

Hi Beth. I love watch your second channel. I think you are brave testing new things.❤❤
Beth! Boa tarde. Esta canção é um clássico do rock romântico. Se você puder, pode reagir a:
WHITESNAKE_HERE I GO AGAIN
please watch the band malta with the vocalist bruno boncini, a spectacular voice, today he is no longer part of the band but he has a beautiful voice. very nice your work thank you

Next time turn the volume up a bit..👍
I was literally going to comment a few days ago, asking you to feature David Coverdale from Whitesnake, his voice is perfection, I love the unplugged session they did a while back.
Yes, in Japan! Amazing!
I would love for you to listen and rate Glenn Hughes on "Burn" solo or Deep Purple. He is undoubtedly the singer with the best records in this world. ♥
Coverdale is still amazing. This song is originally in E but this live version here is dropped down to a low D. I actually like the way this sounds better. Love this song, one of my favorites.
R.I.P. Tawny Kitaen.
Beth, if you really want to have the 80's look, you'd need about half a bottle of aqua net! 😁 That album came out the same year that I graduated high school: 1987. What a great rock year that was! Hysteria from Def Leppard, Once Bitten from Great White, Appetite for Destruction from Guns 'N' Roses, Fighting the World from Manowar, and more. 👍 I'm still very 80's with my music, but very much in my 50's now. Time marches on, but I will be linked to the 80's forever! 😎🤘🎸
What’s wrong with the audio?
Volume is VERY low on pc
My system is nearly at full volume and I can barely hear this, Beth.
Now you've done it... 'Burn/Stormbringer' live, and on repeat for yet another month.
Here I Go Again! 🥳🍾
He is singing in a lower register than he did in the original song. At least he sounds pretty "clean" doing it.
Am I the only one having trouble hearing this??
Sexy and badass=David Coverdale
Whitesnake fanboy here.
DC had actually 2 big problems with his voice in his carreer
Late 1980's, during the 87 tour, he had a major callus in his vocal chords, which changed his voice quite a bit.
The doctor who took a look said "I cannot believe you can even speak".
Then in 2009, during the Good to be Bad tour, o a performance in Argentina, his voice just gave out. His injuries were minor, but he had to stop a lot of things he used to do.
I went to 2 Whitesnake tours - 2011, 2013 and 2016 - and he puts on a killed show, but has a lot of failsafes
From 2011 to 2019, he had Michael Devin on bass, a great player and a KILLED singer with a great impersonation of david's late 70's tone.
All of his musicians are great backup singers
He avoids dangerous notes and drinks copious ammounts of water during the concert
Several songs might get written off the setlist just because he feels it's too big a risk.
He's one of my greatest idols solely for this never quiting atitude.
I'm quite curious to see how whitesnake gonna sound now Devin's gone and the new bassist is Tanya o'Calahann, since I think her voice will mix quite differently...
Hey! please react to DIANA ANKUDINOVA (Диана Анкудинова) - Can't Help Falling In Love. She could not leave anyone indifferent.
He has a velvet voice
Why so quiet?
Hello Elisabeth, David Coverdale is not the first singer of Deep Purple, it is Rod Evans, then there was Ian Gillan arrived in 1969, David arrived in third. THANKS
NOTHING like the "Grunge" guys you mentioned. NOTHING! Chris Cornell? Are you serious?!? Settle down---not even close. Love Whitesnake; but nothing like 'Grunge' (not in America anyway). 80's vs. 90's in America is night and day.
Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney Cliff Richard and guys like this......Come on they have had their day put the microphones down. Why do they think they can still do it ? Some of them are just awful.
I have the instrumental, plus choruses, for this song from the summer of 2015 when I drove their opener, and they played it for soundcheck the last day I was on the tour lol
Whitesnake - Here I Go Again [Live in Donington Park, 1983] ua-cam.com/video/vLpYFOCPzQ8/v-deo.html
The last time I saw whitesnake was about 10 years ago so I don't know when his vocal injury was but I stopped seeing them because out of the last three or so performances, David Coverdale was awful all he could give was a low tone and a high squeal scream he had nothing in between constantly dropped out a vocal parts and let the band carry it it just wasn't good. Also any of the live videos that were released by whitesnake always seem to have the vocals dubbed in I believe this performance here looks like they're dubbed in. The true test is when people record with their telephones.
I accidentally stumbled upon the Whitesnake version of 'Burn" from Deep Purple. Because of Coverdale's energy in that one, I presume it was before his voice problems ua-cam.com/video/wAydlI2fOjs/v-deo.html Headphone on and volume on max 😀
i'm telling you, you're short-shrifting yourself if you don't listen to coverdale in his prime.
Can you react to Pasxalis Terzis whichever song you choose will be great
Hi lovely Beth. I recommend two Whitesnake songs Here I go again and Aint no love in the heart of the city. Lots of love
You must listen too,
whitesnake,
still of the night.
Sugiro soda estereo "de musica ligeira" rock alternativo argentino.
She does need to do something from the classic Whitesnake era.
Are u really clapping on the 1 and the 3?!

I saw Whitesnake live in 1988 and again in 2003 (When I had started wearing musicians hi-fi earplugs, which reduce the noise levels I am exposed to by 18 decibels but don't alter the frequency range I hear, to protect my hearing and help me stay in pitch when singing, my normal pitch accuracy is 89 to 93% which is enough to get by on, as advised by my audiologist). Unfortunately, they are a very unforgiving little piece of equipment. If Whitesnake were playing at 110 decibels I was hearing 92 decibels as clear as a CD! And because of what I heard live in 2003 I am wondering just how much post production sound tinkering has been done on this live video?!
Whitesnake "Is this Love" Live at Donington 1990; This is officially released remastered audio and definiely closer to Whitesnake's live sound (It was originally broadcast live on BBC Radio 1 in the UK and later released on DVD and possibly CD:
ua-cam.com/video/BJsmxOjjjLI/v-deo.html
Your volume is low
Prime coverdale please
Is this still the city of love
Great reaction, but I wasn't paying attention to the year, so I was expecting the 80s video, AND expecting a Tawney Kitaen redhead reference.
Next should probably be the breakthrough "Here I go again"- although it is choregraphed with the redhead girlfriend sliding on car hoods as if she got a product placement deal for knickers, Jaguar, AND Meguiar’s Ultimate.
G'day Beth,
Whitesnake is one of my favourite albums, I love '80s Hair Metal & even at 51 (52 in March) my hair is down to my butt 😁
Another Coverdale favourite of mine is "Last Note of Freedom" from the Days of Thunder Soundtrack
Nice as always! :)
I have special suggestion for you to react - Valia Balkanska In Voyager Of NASA - MYSTERY Of Bulgarian Voices. It is the song that NACA decide that will represent us humans if Voyager meet aliens in the Space. The songs have beautiful bagpipe too.
I always thought your hair was big and awesome ps/I'm a late 80's early 90's metal head 🤘🧙♂️ x
I saw this tour in 1987. 😁 They had Great White opening and the 80's were in full force with hairspray and spandex, parties and girls.
At the time, it was Adrian Vandenberg and Vivian Campbell on guitar. Now it's Joel Hoekstra and Reb Beach. Reb has been in Winger and Whitesnake now. That should put him in the running for ultimate 80's guitarist. LOL
BTW, the volume on your video is extremely low.
Great commentary on this beautiful song. I just have to point out that here in this live version the song has been lowered 1 and a half steps, when compared to the original studio version released in 1987. He did lose quite a bit of vocal range: having to transpose a whole step and a half down is a pretty big deal. Original was in the key of G, this one is in the key of E (with guitars tuned also a step and a half down).
Yeah.... much as I love his voice and I grew up in the 70s and 80s, being a diehard Whitesnake fan and they were my first big gig that I went to at the age of 16..... his voice now is shot to shit.He has to walk away from it before he becomes a caricature.
My hero
I’ve been watching Beth Roars videos for a while now and I just realized what keeps bringing me back to see what she’s up to…she’s kinda hot
Ahhhh David Coverdale ..... The man with the flared shirt and the open neck pants .... Lol !
He is a vocal legend 😎🤘
I love u)))
Thank you for this wonderful reaction. I've been listening to Whitesnake for decades, and it's always been great. Please try some of his old stuff like wine women and song.
music.ua-cam.com/video/s_q0IA7CKhY/v-deo.html&feature=share
80 hair 👍
Hiii! React to ''Você me vira a cabeça (me tira do sério) - Alcione - Ao vivo 2''. I would love to see her reacting to the voice of this super singer from my country! ;)
please watch the band malta with the vocalist bruno boncini, a spectacular voice, today he is no longer part of the band but he has a beautiful voice. very nice your work thank you
Ypu should really check out the new double drop from sleep token; chokehold and the summoning
Also, will Ramos from lorna shore does a vocal cover of their song hypnotisen if you haven't heard about ot reacted too
I've been listening to this song/album since it came out when I was 13. It's a classic, Thank You John Sykes!
he's had more than one vocal injuries and serious operation in the 90's. that's why his gigs are hit and miss.
video is better with Tawny
Yes, at that time, they were definitely magic🪄 together.
Avenged sevenfold trashed and scattered live please 🙏
I've waited 3 years for this day to come.
Your hair is gorgeous, rock that 80s look ;)
I like the "80's wild look" in your hair
No Beth...."Slow and Easy"
He definitely had a ton of power back in the day.
My favorite male vocalist
My gosh! What a Voice!!!!
Beth I love you 😍 💗
Where is the love?
Weird seeing a Scottish person viewing this and it not being Limmy.
Long time no talk babe happy new year
