You should see him live. Jeeesus! My 2nd time of seeing him in the 90's i was a teenager then. (old ass me) he swigged 3 quarters of a bottle of wine in one and then gestured for the audience to catch the bottle and we thought he was joking and then he threw the bottle and it's remaining contents into the crowd, I managed to get to it and touch it but couldn't properly grab it, i had just had a major op...and it was a 100% glass bottle. The days before the PC brigade were awesome.
R.I.P. To the greatest, most soulful, epic and beautiful man ever to grace the world with his music. Never has a rock’n’roll star shone so proudly or voluptuously. He may be gone, but his melodic genius will be ingrained in our hearts forever. ✨❤️
What separates Meat Loaf from most other singers over the decades is where most of them sang the song, this guy literally BECAME the song! The way he'd channel raw emotion though his words was done in such a way that few artists ever came close to doing the same with their work. What makes it even more incredible is that many of the songs were written by someone else, yet he made them truly his own such was his relationship with Jim. They were one of the same and gelled so well, we'll never see another partnership like it. The guy truly was one of the all time great singers. And he is deeply deeply missed. They both are. RIP Marvin and Jim our life's became fuller with you both around. Thank you xxx
It's just a shame it was so hard for him to break through, he was so far ahead that no one understood his & Jim's vision & talent. Now look, all these years later & people are still listening to his music. All those people that turned them down have to be kicking themselves. The film made in 2000 on his life story is pretty good, they changed a number of things though, as they do. It wasn't his dad that gave him the name meatloaf it was his gym teacher, he stood on his foot & the teacher yelled "get off my food meatloaf" and in the end at the cancer charity event he sang i would do anything for love but I won't do that but he actually sang I'd lie for you & thats the truth. I don't know why producers change little things like that 🤷♀️ it's a good film to see what he went through.
This Gentleman Mr Aday Meatloaf has helped me with depression with his Amazing voice and songs. Thanks also to Jim steinman. You Mr Aday are my hero. THE VOICE. get well soon meatloaf I know you are in a lot of pain. The world owes you for the voice of a thousand Angel's.

The most Influential person in music, the Great Meat Loaf has a unique clear operatic rock vocal voice that Is so unmatched, with the subtle bluesy riff echoing through the song.
I've fallen in love and lost love in my life. Meatloaf has been my inner voice/souls inspiration through the love and heartache every breath I've taken. We're so blessed that he and Steinman found each other. Imagine life without them...
PS: I spent Highschool (graduated in 82. I'm now 52 yrs old) driving a 76 Camaro with a kickass Pioneer sound system. Meatloaf was always played full blast. It's the only way I could due his music the justice it deserved/demanded. Every song isn't just "sung", he puts everything he has into every verse. Again, we're so fortunate that he and Steinman found each other! A perfect combination.
+Bruce Adams I'm amazed at some of Meat Loaf's music I've been finding here. So many memories and he puts so much into everything. I appreciated hearing your story :)
Like so many of my generation, I grew up on his music. An amazing musician whose music will live on as classics of R&R. Go and Rest in Peace! I'm sure you'll be making great music up in heaven.

My uncle's birthday was yesterday, he passed away a few years ago and he was like my best friend. About a month before he passed away a good friend of his named Joel passed away and he listened to this song every day after. I'm glad I had the nerve to sit and listen to it again, the memories briefly come flooding back and it feels good to remember him.
I am speechless. This song is absolute perfection. The chorus is just so beautiful. Hos vocals on it are outstanding. This song really does live rent free in my head. I am playing it 5 or 6 times a day. My favourite song of his. I think it maybe the best song made ever.period .
When I first heard Meat Loafs voice in my bedroom playing on the radio 1975 I was hooked. Bought his albums watched his movies blessed to see him play live… Rest in Eternal paradise Meat 🙏🏻💙💙💙
Love this song! What I like the most about his music is the emotion he puts into it! Not the soulless, faceless music of today. He has a terrific voice!!!
Another person here who was born in the year he really broke through, with Paradise, and like a true 'Meat Loaf kid' I keep coming back to him. The first concert I ever went to, aged 12, was a Meat Loaf concert. That man has inspired me through my writing. Listening to his songs, magic comes from my fingers, to the extent that I have finally picked up the courage to see a publisher. And guess what? I'm being published! Thank you Meat Loaf, for spreading inspiration through your beautiful music!!
Wish I had gone to one of his concerns, I am a big fan of his love every song even though I was born in the 90s the 70s and 80s were cool decades for much but he was something really special like David bowie

Meatloaf was my gateway into hard rock and metal, he was my first concert (and second I think) but like with most things I'd moved on and hadn't really listened to much of his stuff in years. Then about a month ago for no real reason I dropped Bat 1 on the turntable and I'd just forgotten how amazing and unique he was and I don't think a day has gone by since that I haven't listened to something from him. So sorry buddy, I lost there for a while, but it won't happen again. RIP
My heart is crushed 😭💔😭💔💔 really enjoyed this man's career . I put meat loaf up there with People like Elvis Presley , Michael Jackson, and Great Artist. Elvis is the King of Rock and Roll, Michael Jackson is king of pop, and Meat loaf should be the King of Rock opera. Thank you for everything.
The way this song compares a theatre play to the way a person (1) Falls in love(2)Stays in love (3) Gets their heart broken. is a VERY clever example of song writting/oerformance. It also reminds me of how a got my hart broken by a kady a right few years ago and I'm still single.😢 Also it reminds me of how much Meat Loaf's and Jim Stienmans passing has made me r realise how we will never hear new songs from them. BOTH sadly missed.😢😢😢🎸🥁🎹
Meat and Jim are together again in Rock & Roll Heaven. Separately, each were great, but together they made history and the best music the world will ever know. Gen. George Patton once said, "Let us not mourn the loss of these men, but thank God they were born!

Never have I come across a singer who puts more feeling into the songs he sings! So much emotion! Big love and respect to Meatloaf! Love him!
Meatloaf, We Fans will never let your music die! RIP
R.I.P. To the greatest, most soulful, epic and beautiful man ever to grace the world with his music. Never has a rock’n’roll star shone so proudly or voluptuously. He may be gone, but his melodic genius will be ingrained in our hearts forever. ✨❤️
Meatloaf is amazing. hes so talented. hes my favorite artist EVER
Lolli Corpse mine too, he is definitely one of a kind.
Lolli Corpse best comment ever! I totally agree
Whitney Houston is better
Lolli Corpse he's fantastic!
He's a real artist not some commercialize guy that's why I love him
I am crying my eyes out today.
God Speed Meatloaf.
RIP Meat! Thanks for all!
Lying here with tears in my eyes from the memories of your music from my childhood to present, you are and will always be a legend 🙏🙏🙏
🙏🙏🙏
That voice... I still get shivers when I hear him singing, even after so long spent listening to him.
Thank you xxx
even after he dies his music will still be loved by ppl a hundred years after his death
I hope so..he sang with passion.
He's a natural performer sings from the heart
He is a lovely guy had the pleasure of meeting him in cardiff 2010
I don't know why producers change little things like that 🤷♀️ it's a good film to see what he went through.
this aged well
This Gentleman Mr Aday Meatloaf has helped me with depression with his Amazing voice and songs. Thanks also to Jim steinman. You Mr Aday are my hero. THE VOICE. get well soon meatloaf I know you are in a lot of pain. The world owes you for the voice of a thousand Angel's.

I listen to other artist but always come back to Meat Loaf. This song reminds me of so much that happened in my life. he is truly a godfather of rock.
Absoulute legand loved him for so long his music will long live on.. i was truly heartbroke when i heard the news...💔
Truly a significant recording on this auspicious day. RIP Meat Loaf. I will never see or hear your like again.
RIP. Meatloaf's songs brought joy to me as a kid and adult. His death really has hit me harder than any other musician besides my dad and to me that says a lot. Always a smile when listening. It breaks my heart we lost such a great person.
very sad I've been listening to it since I was a child in Brazil, where few people knew meat loaf. the best band i've ever heard. beautiful lyrics and beautiful arrangements 😭😭😭😭 very sad, my kids in brazil also learned to listen to mest loaf, great loss 😭
Brings back memories of my teenage years good and bad when things seemed easier and much happier and people more contented with who they were and what they had
Devastated is all I can feel, I loved this man and his amazing talent, so many memories with his music as part of my life’s soundtrack. So sad and heartbroken over this! R I P Meatloaf, you are and always will be one of the most talented men ever. Love forever.❤️💕❤️💕
Bruce Adams
Pure unadulterated class and musical genius I truly think everyone should listen to this this respect meat loaf
Like so many of my generation, I grew up on his music. An amazing musician whose music will live on as classics of R&R. Go and Rest in Peace! I'm sure you'll be making great music up in heaven.
His music is amazing - even to a 72 old woman !
Carol Huff he truly is a remarkable performer you're right he's seventy-two hasnot missed a step my my my what a talent not onlyhe sings but he tells a story you have a great day my friend
Carol Huff you are just a jungen, even at 86 it is still the most stearing songs ever written
Ich bin 55 und liebe jeden seiner Songs❤️
Rest in peace Meat Loaf. You'll always be remembered.
The feeling he puts in every song is amazing, I love his voice, and his music is fantastic. He's such a great artist.
When I first heard Meat Loafs voice in my bedroom playing on the radio 1975 I was hooked. Bought his albums watched his movies blessed to see him play live… Rest in Eternal paradise Meat 🙏🏻💙💙💙
I've listened to Meatloaf's performances since the 1970's. What a class act!
One year ago today, we lost you. We still feel the lost.
Amazing all his songs mean something not like today's crap
So well put
So true !!
Today's music sucks hate it 🤗
@@niamhgillvarry1569 today's what? You can't call it music, that's an insult to musicians all over the world.
@@mydogatemydentures5190 yeh jus keep your own opinion yeh
if yu hair don't stand up not just on the back of neck I mean body. wow wow I grew up listening to meat loaf. and still to this day it's like the first time no man or band have ever did this to my body I tingle every time wen i here the loaf . omg plz it's amazing xxxx
RIP
A big man with a huge heart of gold. Your songs touched people's hearts and may you rest in peace. You were one of the greatest singer
Listen to Meat Loafs song’s in the dark lying on your bed, on a rainy night with thunder and lightning just love him but maybe am weird
Karen Kimberley Not weird hon, it’s exactly what I do!!❤️❤️❤️
Sounds good, I may have to try it.
way to go Karen not weird
Let me know if you'd like to try that next to someone
It's weird in all the right ways. Embrace that weird. I know I do.
RIP Meatloaf and thanks for the Music 🎶🥲
Will forever miss him, and his beautiful storytelling. ❤❤❤
You help me through this period of hate, crying and feeling helpless. The sun doesn't shine at all but you make my day a little better. 😘
BOTH sadly missed.😢😢😢🎸🥁🎹
amazing voice hasn't got a bad song love this song can listen it over and over
glen - OH YES HE DOES!!!!
Meat and Jim are together again in Rock & Roll Heaven. Separately, each were great, but together they made history and the best music the world will ever know. Gen. George Patton once said, "Let us not mourn the loss of these men, but thank God they were born!
I miss the 90s
Not a dry eye here tonight in Africa. One of so few sane voices in this insane world.
😭😭😭😭😭😭♥️♥️♥️💔💔💔🎶🎶🎶💋💋💋💋RIP Michael Lee Aday. You have always had a huge place in my heart. Now I don't have dry eyes in my house. Give your biggest fan my sister a kiss when you get to heaven she loved you alot. I mourn 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🌹🌹🌹🤘🤘

RIP Mr Loaf.. you left us with so much. Rock on in the beyond 🤘🏻
Meat, I hope that when you end your days, it comforts you to know the lives that you have bettered and saved with your gift😘
Not one LEGEND has left this Earth with a dry Eye...
Live Meat Loaf is above AWESOME!
Seems to have lost it a bit in recent years, but during his peak, you'd say he had no equal.
Saw him in concert 4 times. Ex wife and I are huge fans. He was an incredible performer and a great singer. He and Jim were as good a duo as Elton and Bernie. Have all of his albums and listen often. RIP Meatloaf. One of the best!
I was given the absolute pleasure of being brought up listening to meatloaf 34 years of it and love all his songs thank u meatloaf and thank u jim steinman
The man was a legend. Throughout the course of my life I have always had a meat loaf song to help me through. I remember my first ever job as a 13 year old washing dishes in a restaurant… we had a tape deck in the kitchen and the only cassette we had was meat loaf. He was on all day every day and I never got sick of him. Other songs he done have been at crucial points in my life but I will not bore any of you guys with the rest of the stories. My point is that the man was a complete legend and has helped a lot of people from all over the world through a lot of shit. Rest easy Meat, we all miss you ❤️
My favorite what a beautiful voice this man has
he wrote this song for his death, he knew we would all cry.
