True, however we still have the music, which is basically what we had befor his passing, so instead of being sad, be happy, he is free now and he left us a legacy!
There are some I can listen to every now and then. And there are some I can listen to every time. Eagles, Bob Seger, Queen, John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, and Meatloaf are always on my play list.
Gosh yes you said it! He was so unique and didn’t change for anybody and there will absolutely be no one else like him! He was told no so many times from so many labels etc. but there was so much passion and talent on every front and he kept on doing what he absolutely loved, never selling out or changing…and the man is nothing but LEGENDARY!
There will never be another Meat Loaf, the man will forever be a legend and a huge favourite amongst my family, particularly my grandmother’s who was lucky to have seen Meat Loaf live 3 times, she loves him and his music dearly 🦇❤ The video for 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' does give me all the Beauty and the Beast vibes, which is surprisingly my all-time favourite Disney film. 🌹

Meat is a legend, but it's Jim Steinman's lyrics that have reached immortality. Embracing the operatic and the absurd, the sentimental and the human, his lyrics are three act plays. RIP to one of rock's greatest lyricists.

@The Yorkshireman ReactsI have to agree with you. I would never take anything away from Meatloaf (or the many legends I've had the privilege of listening to and seeing in concert). I'm a bit older than you, and I have been blessed to have seen Queen live....... twice. Both times in the early 80's, but I've been a fan since the 70's. I've seen many of the great ones in concert (Pink Floyd, Stones, The Who, Alice Cooper, Rush, U2, Sting, Elton John, Bob Seeger, Springsteen, Journey, Styx, Van Halen, UFO, Rainbow with Ritchie Blackmore, Paul McCartney, REO Speedwagon, Aerosmith, and many more). I can honestly say that Freddie Mercury was the greatest front man I have ever seen. Brilliant!!!
@The Yorkshireman Reacts I recall watching "Live Aid." He sure had a way of taking control of a concert. He commanded your attention like no one else could. You have a great ear for music if you've been a Queen fan since you were 4. Kudos!!!!
I have listened to his music since he started making it. My heart broke the day he died. His music plays in my heart and touches my soul. He was truly an artist. ❤❤❤.

Rest sweetly to a man with a voice like no other, thank you for sharing yourself with this whole world... you're an angel. You made my 70s, 80s and 90s amazing! God bless you!
@ Charlotte, Amen💔
Hello
Well said and I am a saint.
True, however we still have the music, which is basically what we had befor his passing, so instead of being sad, be happy, he is free now and he left us a legacy!
RIP Meat Loaf you were a legend and you will truly be missed.
💔😪
There are some I can listen to every now and then. And there are some I can listen to every time. Eagles, Bob Seger, Queen, John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, and Meatloaf are always on my play list.
I dont care what anyone says this is a perfect rock opera. this song deserves way more credit for being amazing

He was truly a LEGEND in his own right. No one will ever replace the true heartfelt emotions he put into his music and performances! RIP
His voice was so precious and loving. I'll never forget him ❤️
Gosh yes you said it! He was so unique and didn’t change for anybody and there will absolutely be no one else like him! He was told no so many times from so many labels etc. but there was so much passion and talent on every front and he kept on doing what he absolutely loved, never selling out or changing…and the man is nothing but LEGENDARY!
Meat got so many requests for this song he began to hate singing it.
Totally agree
@@betsyann453 Hello
There will never be another Meat Loaf, the man will forever be a legend and a huge favourite amongst my family, particularly my grandmother’s who was lucky to have seen Meat Loaf live 3 times, she loves him and his music dearly 🦇❤
The video for 'I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)' does give me all the Beauty and the Beast vibes, which is surprisingly my all-time favourite Disney film. 🌹
RIP Meatloaf, you gave the world some great songs.
Two great vocals coming together for a great song

Legend. R.I.P Meat Loaf, prayers to his friends, family, and fans. May God rest his soul.

They broke the mold when they made Meat Loaf! No one like him in all of music. What a passionate performer and amazing voice. Thanks for the memories Meat. RIP
meatloaf wasn't made of mold, very disrespectful to say at this time, rip in peaces to a giant in the game
Just SO sad he never got got money that he deserved. And just as he was coming back with a TV show, Covid got him. RIP. Just heard it in news.
Hi
Hi Wendy, how are you doing
Meat is a legend, but it's Jim Steinman's lyrics that have reached immortality. Embracing the operatic and the absurd, the sentimental and the human, his lyrics are three act plays. RIP to one of rock's greatest lyricists.
Amen. ❤🙏😀❤
Just as I thought, going all the way was only a start.
Freddie Mercury also leaned towards the operatic in Bohemian Rhapsody. Was that before or after this song?
@@proudamericangirl00 I think before as that was 75 and this was in 98 I think
@@keithscott4013 93
This is absolutely BRILLIANT!! One of the best operatic songs of all time. This and "Thriller". 😢😢❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

My mom loved Meatloaf, he was the soundtrack to my childhood, I know every song by heart, it was her favorite tape to play in the car. RIP Momma
I remember as a kid this dominated the UK charts, what a tune, what an artist - RIP Marvin!
Michael Lee Aday didn't die, he just passed into legend, he was too big for us, a gentle giant, and his music was, is and will be forever simply extraordinary , he made the world better with his music and will never be forgoten, rest in peace Marvin and thank you for everything :)
Who's Marvin?
@@oasis4ever718
The Dallas-born singer was born Marvin Lee Aday but also known as Michael!
My mom introduced me to meatloaf as a small child. My mom opened my world to all types of music. I was a young black kid growing up in a ruff part of town but at night my mom would play two out of three ain't bad and I was a forever fan. I'm 18 now and a US Marine Reservist and Engeering student and I will honor the great meatloaf all day rock on legend.

@@gaylenewood7707 I love Tom Petty too, what a legend. So sad seeing all these beloved music artists passing away before our very eyes.
Art that I don't think will ever go dormant. This video is like a movie. His music and stage presence is hypnotic with truth and joy. Music rocks
I struggle to hold back the tears when I listen to Meatloaf songs when I hear a meatloaf song I turn up the radio I still can't believe he has gone you will be truly missed RIP Meatloaf
He was an amazing man very humble
I still can't believe that he's gone. He was able to turn a fleeting emotion into a story. His talent is so rare
Well said!
Nicely said,,
Just as what he did in Tenacious D.
@Rob Follow that sheepish idea! Don’t start crying for the police when you get rob! 🤷🏽

RIP to this legend. No bones about it. An absolute heavyweight; Literally. Physically. Artistically. No one will ever come close.
I already miss him 😢 like so much
U had to mention his weight ? Wtf
@The Yorkshireman Reacts yeah yeah we saw the movie...
❤❤❤.
Anyone else come on here to listen to this legend after hearing of his passing? the man was a character with a voice of an angel 👼 R.I.P MEATLOAF fly high ❤️
This was where I ran to first. This is the best one.
I've been playing this song often in the latest years, it's been my all time favorite. I'm playing it again.
Yes here i am
Nah we just came by straight chilling unrelated to his passing completely.
I did can not belive he s gone. RIP Meatloaf
Rest in peace meatloaf condolences to all his family and friends he will be missed as one of my all time favorite rock and roll singers
Circa 1995. I was twelve years old in Nepal and saw this on a rented VCR. Back then I didn't speak English, but it didn't stop me from knowing that this is one of the greatest song of all time. What a magnificently beautiful rock opera. A piece of true good music can overcome borders, race, color, even language barriers.
What a beatiful words. I lived in post communist poor country back then.
I really want to try Nepalese food do you suggest any good recipe?
This was the song of my youth. Rest in peace legend.
Rest in Peace Meat Loaf. you will be dearly missed.

This is really a theatrical musical masterpiece performance, not just a music video. Such talent they both had/ have. The only man ever who could use 5 Genre's of music in 1 song and have it go Platinum. Meatloaf was a musical prodigy decades ahead of his time. RIP Meatloaf ❤
Credit where credit is due. Just FYI, the music was written and composed by Jim Steinman
When did he die?
The production value of this video is insane. And the video is simply one of the greatest music videos ever. 😂❤
Meat Loaf is totally over the top, but with a voice like that, he's allowed to overdo whatever he wants. Thanks for entertaining the world Marvin!!
@christian Williams Dana Patrick is the girl in the video. She's a model that mimed the words to Lorraine Cassidy's voice. (I'm pretty sure that's the real singers name.)
Possible correction / wikipedia states the singer as Lorraine CROSBY aka Mrs.Loud who is pretty enough to play "Beauty".
A song which I listened to almost daily in my teens and early 20’s. Lost touch, as life happened. Couple of decades later it touches you the same way. RIP legend.
