Thanks buddy .. Very helpful for me as i wanna make diy Digital fpv goggles with Walksnail vtx which has hdmi output ... Was wondering how i'm gonna use my phone as a display ...
Been enjoying this on my Xbox 360. P.S. It's actually possible to get audio from this. I believe it depends on the app. Both apps I have do support audio during usage/gameplay. The apps I have are the one at the top at 1:44 and and the one at 1:56.
You're right. It works. Unfortunately I tried to plug the HDMI>USB-C adapter into another adapter that splits USB-C and adds a 3.5mm jack for headphones but the software doesn't recognize the HDMI in anymore using it. Just ordered another adapter that has HDMI and a 3.5mm jack built into the 1 adapter. Hopefully that works.
Yeah, I was wondering the same. With the current setup it seems that you cant charge. My guess would be to plug the HDMI capture thing into a usb hub, which has dedicated power port and then the hub into the phone/tablet.
@@dogshithandle111 it's iffy if that'll work. 2 years ago I couldn't get things to work properly because of a hub. It had to be a direct connection. I believe I was trying to get touchscreen signals though, but it's been awhile and I forget exactly. I just remember that whatever I was trying to do was blocked by the hub.
Do you kwno if by this way, the table / phone can work as a second screen or expanded screen? as you show here, it serves has a principal screen, but does it work as a second screen?
How is the latency of the screen? I have been using a different solution but there is quite a bit of delay between, for example, mouse input and what shows on tablet screen
The Usb to hdmi adapter cost Ra-649😅😅, plus hdmi cable cost around Rs-50-80, and i bought a car monitor at Rs-999 that has Video input, i simply used raspberry pi zero video out to direct connect to monitor no extra cost😆😆, its called smart thinking.
I have used a car monitor but it's resolution is too low so text are not clear. I made a video about it. It's resolution is much better than car monitor.
Good to know that game capture cards can be used with Android devices ✌️ Btw you could rly work on your English pronouncation, that would make it easier to follow you x)
Thank you very much. Your well detailed explanation encouraged me to buy that adapter and I am now enjoying this awesome toy. Keep on posting, man!
Glad I could help

Thanks it worked!
Thanks for the video! I really needed this info
Great video I really like
This camera app is working with any old tablet Android 4.0 or 4.4
Can I just use a HUD with Hdmi directly without using a video Capture card? Video capture card has latency.
How would you do this while also including power delivery to the tablet?
Also, is there a way to make the touchscreen work as well?

I was thinking the same thing. I have a 9" Android head unit in my car and I would like to connect my Chromecast to it.

Perfect .. thanks
Which tablet are you using in this video?
So the max resolution is only 1080p even if you have a 2K display phone? Have you come across a higher resolution capture card?

For better resolution and I hope everyone has android phone or tablet that can be doubled as a monitor instead of buying one..that's nice ..
Lucky i have one laying around since i bought it never been used so nice for setting up security cameras.
