- What is the best Drum VST? A quick comparison between Steven Slate Drums 5.5 Free Drum VST and Addictive Drums 2, EZ Drummer 2 and Superior Drummer 3 played with my Roland Electronic Drums. Roland TD1kpx2. The SSD 5.5 Free drums are surprisingly good and I would definitely recommend them! #roland #stevenslatedrums #edrums

Saludos colega, me gustaría que expliques cómo asignar los Kit de la batería en addictive drums ya que lo tengo pero está todo distorsionado.
¿Tienes ASIO4All instalada en tu PC?
Best sounding Superior.
Best value Addictive hands down!
very true
But not the best sounding cymbals and that’s where you can really tell the difference
@@bdunn315 SSD5 cymbals Sound pretty good to me. The other ones sound to fizzy.
which any vst has many features like tweak or editing session? i guess that will help much for across in any genres (?)
For editing the midi notes? You can edit them through the DAW or change which ones are triggered through the VST
@@KeroDeani want to edit directly from the software i think it takes more eficient than i have to render and mix sound again in daw
i dont have ssd to work for a huge amount of wavs, and it takes forever time to load. Addictive has a bit lack of how their cymbals or overhead things get distract on other instrument.
@@taklagikembali8702 With editing in the daw, you simply edit the midi notes which trigger the drum VST, you dont have to rerender it its quick and easy and fast
when you record , It records straight through the DAW the vst is a plugin in the channel , Except superior drummer 3 , Thats basically its own daw idk
Thx for this Which one do you recommend to program drums ? I mean I’m not a drummer , have no midi drums but am in need of recreating realistic drum tracks for rock tracks , tx
I would say Addictive Drums because it sounds really good and offers loads of built in midi drum patterns built in
Do you have to buy to get addictive drums fairfax- neutral?
Yeah, the demo of addictive drums is very limited
What is the latency for these using TD1-DMK? Anything noticeable?
I think its around 5 or 6ms very playable
I want to use the Superior Drummer, but i have all my drums sessions did in AD2. How I can remap the mids? I dont wanna to rebuild everything again!!
You can. I think the easiest way would be to set the SD input midi notes to match the recorded ones
@@KeroDean Nice! Thank You
Oh wow, so nothing gets even close to AD2? (except for BFD3 of course) Thank you, this was very helpful!
Which of these have midi samples, i m more interested in built-in loops and samples. Like mt drumkit
SSD5 has it
@@Vaxity Thank you
They all have some form of midi loops built in but some are extra purchase
get power drum; get something else too ... but that free vst has some cool loops you can add to your arsenal and for the price it's hard to beat !
0:40 this fill is great, I need to copy it ! hahah
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)
hi sir.. which better sound for metal tone? punchy
They all have different 'metal' drum packs available. But I honestly cant recommend Addictive Drums highly enough, best overall
SSD é sensacional! Gostei bastante
How do you Connect your Drums to the PC? Via USB or Midi cable to an Interface?
Hey, I used a USB cable, I made a short video about it here ua-cam.com/video/q7-R_oHZtgU/v-deo.html
Ssd5 is it always working? Sometimes i see the worse cymbal
Its working, but I think the visual part might be a bit out of sync when I edited the video
are u using studio monitors?
Yeah, using the ATH-M40x
I'm a guitar player and I write my music on Guitar pro 6, My plan is to export the drum parts as midi file from gp6 into my Daw(reaper) which one of these is best for this application? thanks
Any of them will do a good job, but I personally find AD to be the best 'out of the box' without needing much tweaking
@@KeroDean What if you wanted something that had a good default but with headroom/flexibility to tweak if you needed? Does AD give you that extra control?
Which would you recommend for someone with an electronic kit? Im probably gonna buy a td 27kv soon.
Depends on how you intend to use it, I think the Superior drummer is the most realistic but does take a little post processing to sound best. But in terms of plug and play and quick setup the AD is my favourite. SSD free is exceptional for the price, so get that one regardless
Can set up for double kit?
yes the kick pad is wide enough to accomodate a double pedal
All of them sound good thanks to your playing. But i feel like ezdrummer is the most ready-to-go one. But i'm no drummer. Thanks for sharing sir!
Thanks, I think AD is also pretty 'ready to go' and loads quick too
Wait a minute ... you can actually audition your own drum inputs on Addictive drums ???
OMG !!!!
Got the bundle, that Cozy Powell preset, Bonham sound, and jazz kit were too much of a temptation; think I'll eventually save up for the full version of SSD.
Strangely enough I'd say EZ Drummer sounded better than superior drums (taht specific patch I know, but still)
Superior drummer tends to sound flat in these tests because Im just using the default preset, but it actually have the most articulations and adjustability. So if you're a real mixing master you can get a really good sound out of it with a lot of tweaking. But for out of the box sound I think AD drums is best
@@KeroDean I found the SSD kit in your example really good.
I noticed on all 3 VSTs that the hi hat lift works when running from the module. I can't figure out how to get the HH controller to work on any VST that I have. Haven't been able to find the solution on You Tube or Google. Any suggestions? I'm using the aD5 module if that matters. I can map any number and sound to the HH. There's just no variation with the controller.
I usually use a preset in the vst like on AD there’s a few Roland presets and I try a few to see which one gives the best hihat feeling and then go with that
en definitiva ¿cual es mejor y trae mas librerias ?
SSD es la biblioteca más grande y detallada
What about BFD 3?
Haven't had a chance to try it yet
Where is Kvlt Drums 2?
Theres many I didn't have a chance to try yet due to disk space or budget, but I'll try to check it out, thanks :)
What is your favorite one?
Honestly I find myself opening and playing AD most of all of them. It loads fast and has a great selection of kits and sounds great. SSD5 free is really great for being free too
all are good
Yeah they are all great, just have different levels of ease of use and price ranges. I tend to use AD because it loads fast, sounds great without changing too many settings
Cool! what software do you use? can we be Friends? :D
Sure, its ableton live
hi what kit it thanks
also what interface do you use for low latency
Its the Roland TD4kpx2
@@Bcwilderness I use ASIO4ALL for latency on PC and on mac theres no latency
why do these types of videos always on your channel and others have unusual amount of dislikes.
perhaps the dislikes are from non-drummers lol
@@KeroDean Or acoustic drummers that don't like that vdrums is getting better and better ;)
Because we want an opinion... the guys making the videos should be able to give one not just demo them.
@@josearaujo8616 Nah man, they don´t "SHOULD", nobody owns nothing to you, like it or not, everyone is free...
@@wilhemheider And your point is? Anyone who posts a video is open to critic, if they don't want negative opinions they shouldn't make the videos free. I was answering his question by the way. Wasn't even a critic.
Wait can you record with your drum set straight into your DAW?
You can, with either midi or the drums audio from the module. In this case I'm using midi from the drums into the DAW and triggering a drum VST plugin
@@KeroDean could you make a video on how you set that up
In my opinion Addictive Drums 2 (which I have) and EZ-drummer sounded the most like a digital set while SSD and Superior sounded more natural. I'm not talking about the sounds of the recorded samples themselves but rather "robotic" vs "human". AD2 is quite old and has very small sample libraries, it sounds like SSD and Superior has more variation on the samples (velocity layers, random round robin etc).
You say the same thing on every video lol
@@shan5445 Did you answer the wrong comment? I had to double check my history and I haven't commented on something drum related before.
it´s really funny how so many (maybe actually good) drummers suck at improvising :-D
