Thanks for this video I just got the car from the mechanic shop for a power steering pump the check engine light was on they never reconnected the plug. Watch your mechanics people they will try to Fuck you over to get more business for their mistakes Careful. Thanks to this video my problem is solved. It never was plugged back up.

Car worked better before I replaced it lol I put it in disconnected the negative terminal and it won’t go past 2000 rpm’s do I need to rest it with the monitor ?

The new sensor could be faulty if you still have the old one put that one back on and if it goes over 2000 rpm then your new sensor is faulty

Just tell them the year make engine size the eighth digit in your Vin number, and that you’re looking for the throttle body sensor if they ask for the eight digit of the Vin number that’s the quickest way to match up the vehicle to the part

Typically the Vin numbers on PT cruisers are going to be X,C or V

Also, if your PT cruiser comes with a turbo, the sensor might be different than on a standard 2.4.

My car went on me yesterday driving ...according to the computer I plug in the car it has error code for throttle position sensor ...I replace it but I still figure out why it’s still not starting I need help here can anyone hep ??

Does it have any other codes. Also you could try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds putting it back on or. Did you clear the code for the throttle position sensor.

It is possible that they sold you a bad sensor I quit using AutoZone because I got a crank sensor for a dodge stratus and I had to go back five times before I got one that actually worked. The sensor that I used to replacing in this video is from advance auto parts.
