@@Automotivemahi I have a 2007 Toyota Yaris I had to replace my old Throttle Body, with a new one just wanted to ask you if when the new one is installed, id it just plug and play? or doe the new Throttle body have to be calibrated with a computer?
My throttle body electrical harness separated when I removed it but it slid right back into its place with its contacts and pins so I sent it. But I keep getting misfires in all cylinders at random times I have a advanced tool to check voltage and values can even actuate the throttle I’ll do that tomorrow . I’m more leaning towards the fact that I didn’t replace the manifold gasket thoug.h it doesn’t misfire until I hit 4.5k rpm then I can reset it in real time and misfiresnfo away until I get on the motor. I’m guessing it’s breaking seal in manifold giving bad air fuel mixture
Given the symptoms you've described, it's possible that the throttle body electrical harness separation and reconnection could be causing intermittent electrical issues leading to misfires. However, since the misfires occur at higher RPMs and seem related to the intake manifold, a vacuum leak or an issue with the intake manifold gasket could also be the cause. Check the intake manifold gasket for wear or damage.
1999 Sienna climbs hills slowly and when the a/c is on it doesn't after climbing the hills it finds it difficult to accelerate, could this throttle be the issue or a faulty gear transmission
😢I think this is the problem am facing.. car is stalling, had rough idling, diagnostic test could pickup anything, ford dealership serviced the car and never noticed anything.
I have a 2013 Ford Fusion, just got back from the mechanic due to warning light on my dash. Mechanic told me this morning that he had to clean the throttle body and charged me $145. He said if problems continue, he will have to replace it next time. He didn't give me the option to replace it, he just cleaned it. Now it seems if he has to replace it, I will be paying him twice for the same problem. Shouldn't he have given me the two options before just cleaning it? If there are any mechanics reading this, what would you have done?
@@eleasaralanis9592 . I was so mad, I didn't even get to drive it after he "cleaned" it. At least he took $75 off the bill for the new replacement. The car runs ok, the engine just sounds louder. It is using less gas than before which is good. I really shouldn't complain because I really haven't had many problems with the car.
Well explained; it helps for those who are engaged in either driving or deal with car maintenance.
thanks!
