- I have to rectify a derogatory comment I made about the GX80 after watching a curiously made Blade Runner title track on the GX80.
The GX80 actually sounds really good ,and perhaps even a bit better than the Memorymoon ME80. It's just that Gear4Music had a very curious patch-choice that mispresented the plugin if you ask me.The preset I used is called "Mr. V's Lead." , but I drowned it in NI Replika reverb sauce.

This is simply the best thing after a real cs80 to play the blade runner lead sound . Just a little little better than me80 and WAY better than any version of Arturia cs80v ( ME80 destroy the cs80V ) .

I agree... I didn't think you could improve this much on the ME80... But Cherry Audio pulled it off. I really dislike the Arturia plugin. Way to expensive for a plastic sound. I'm surprised the ME80 isn't more popular.

Ok that sounds really, really good! Question : why use Replika (which is a delay) instead of Raum (which is a reverb)? Also PS: who is Marc?
Because I already owned Replika and it reverbs just the way I like it. Marc is a friend who wants people to stop playing the Blade Runner tune on their CS80's. :D I have failed him again!

You had to do it, eh? You had to choose THAT theme! It does sound good though. Very close to the original CS80.
I'm pretty sure 80% of rich CS80 buyers play that theme 5 times and then either let their CS80 collect dust... or sell it again.
Just curious: what controller are you using with a ribbon?
It's the ASM Hydrasynth Deluxe. It's got the Ribbon AND excellent Polyphonic Aftertouch. It's perfect for this purpose :) It's a pretty good Synthesizer too. Not cheap, but it's everything I've ever dreamed of so far.

@@skrie You are right. I am thinking to build myself a midi controller with Arduino... With polyphonic aftertouch and a ribbon controller obviously
@@furiobisotti8150 I did a tiny Ribbon controller for my SE80 controller (for Novation Peak) with Arduino. Building a Polyphonic aftertouch in any form sounds extremely challenging. Arduino is soo cool though.

I just don’t understand why some Arturia cs80 fan hate gx80?!.
I have to admit I was going to root for the Memorymoon ME80 plugin, because it's been around for so long and gets so little love. But against my will and previous judgement I have to admit that the GX80 is just a little better. People just want to root for something they've had and loved for a long time I guess.
thats ok, i think the gx80 “cs80” maybe on par with arturia cs80, but very close, and you allso get the yamaha aftersought gx-1, which nobody has done a vst, but now we have both the cs80 and the gx-1.
The only thing the gx-80 need to my opinion, is the reverb algorithm could be abit better.
I am used to buy the best of the best very expensive vst synth software, allready have omnisphere, halion 6, and many more, but i am sick and tired man, of shelling out wast amount of money each time, just because i MOST have that new plugin, offcourse, omnisphere and other software is worth the money, because it is the best, but why cant the music software company, make it abit easier for musicians to actually buy abit cheaper software, why does it have to cost a fortune each time, that why i think , cherry audio is doing the right thing , in these inflations time, and i think their software is on par with other vst, even thought , it wont beat the best, but thats ok, cherry still doing very high quality software.
@@henrik3657 I agree. But I'd settle for the ability to turn the reverb off completely... so I don't have to turn it off manually on every preset. I really like Native Instruments Replika which is the reverb I've used on this vid.
exactly, i would do the same.
I use the east west space, reverb, pretty awsome, and arturia gave away their juno chorus for free, which i allso use.
Allso waves plugins, is properly the best in business , when it comes to fx, i think.
@@skrie Yep, exactly. It's even better than ME80, especially with a Hydrasynth to control it.
