Honestly, it sounds better than a lot of the autotuned songs I hear that are quite popular. Singers made themselves sound like robots and now robots are sounding like singers.
I've figured this would be the outcome. I've used ai for voice overs
Rick Beato warned of this very thing a couple of years ago.

Thanx for posting my words, so I don't have to. Isn't that a crazy world where AI is becoming more real than the real thing...? Like people are modifying the shit out of their pictures online, getting platic surgeries, while video game characters are looking more and more like real natural people. 😂
Not at all
That's quite amazing and scary at the same time.
Soon, the real will be suspected as fake, and the fake suspected as real.
We can no longer trust images, videos, and now even the songs..
But maybe we can sell our voices to A I , maybe 🤔
"That's quite amazing and scary at the same time"
Yes it is scary.
You could sell your voice if you're already famous. They'd pay for the fame attached to it, more than for the actual voice.

Let’s just hope good songs are the result.
@@chetsenior7253 humsn voice has life and expression, it is alive. I dont think AI will replicate that ever
I have now tried it myself. It is similar to Vocaloid 5 and similar to EmVoice - but doesn't (yet?) integrate so well in DAWs' workflow as EmVoice and Vocaloid do. At the end of the day this is another good tool - be it for sketching or composing, and perhaps for some musicians even backing vocals or experimental lead vocals. I am sure one day it will sound just like human voices. But it doesn't do that yet.
Years ago I went to a Tony Bennett and KD Lang concert here at the Sydney Opera House. During the concert, they stood together next to the grand piano, put down their mics and sang. It was real and pure and there wasn't a dry eye in the place. Buble did that in a concert too, from memory.
AI will never replace such experiences.
It may, however, replace singers.
I understand your concern, but on the contrary, I believe this technology will bring even more of those experiences you've mentioned.
Why? Well, exactly because of what you've said... you had that experience and no technology can fake it.
After initial fascination with this technology, which will for sure bring out many new songs, many will realize that something is missing, and that's exactly experience that can only be result of human interaction. New generations will realize that even more than older generations, because older generations in a way took that experience for granted. But new generations, in a age of AI will appreciate even more true human performance.
Therefore, I truly believe that the era of great live singers will blossom as a result of this technology.
You know, for a quite long time we have computers that are better than humans at chess. Has that resulted in humans stopping playing chess?
Not really, in fact chess is more popular than before.
@@fortissimoX Excellent point. I guess I was really referring to recording artists, rather than live singers.
As a musician with a daughter who is an accomplished young singer, I'm probably of the growing view than many of the more modern "recording artists" would be unlistenable without melodyne and other digital crutches, and so I have less concern about AI replacing them.
Perhaps this will raise the bar for live singing and some of them may even learn to sing in tune.
Wait and see, the english says
@@deldridg I have been thinking the same thing - what will remain aftet AI takes every job it can? Realtime, live human interaction, that's what.
Unless of course androids are being perfected and actually deployed to a degree that you cannot even trust what you see "live" on stage anymore.
Speaking of that, we will probably see Frank Sinatra rise from the dead before long. He will look like the real thing, crack jokes, actually interact with the audience rather than just render a pre-programmed performance. So I expect a shakeup even in that context.
It won't replace them, it will accompany them. Your lead singer needs backing vocals or a choir? And you can't shell out a couple thousand dollars to hire a decent choir for a couple hours? Lucky you, we now have AI that can do more than "hmmmmms", "aaaaahs" and "ooooohs". 👍🏻

I think it's an amazing piece of technology that'll give the finishing blow to human made art. It's not because there aren't gonna be any more humans not using this, we'll still be here. But the industry will sell whatever's easier to do. And this is easier to do and sell.

Thank you for posting this video Doctor Mix! You still have the ability to amaze me as a musician. I'm here for the demonstration of AI Tool however, I've got to pause for a moment and listen to what you actually played for "You've Got A Friend". Really nice chord movement within that take. Thanks again for posting!
But the funniest part of the video is when for "You've Got A Friend" he sings "I'll come driving" instead of "I'll come runnin'".
Maybe they should fix it in AI?
Crazy technology, I still believe I can hear some robotic or auto tune kind of sounds, but it can certainly help small producers and bad singers sound better. Next step will be that the AI autocorrect, adds vibratos etc in real time.
This will be so useful for backing vocal choirs and uuhs and aahs. The leads still sound very synthetic, but for fleshing out productions this will be a massive gamechanger
I guess it's the next iteration of what Melodyne could do when that first cam out - it could get a busy working producer out a bind and they can't get vocalists in to do a little bit if used sparingly.
Exactly, for things where more precision is required these kind of tools will be applied. Plus there are times where you can't hire background vocalists or the artist just isn't available.
It will be used by the greedy goofs to make more crappy musak... apparently, like you guys aspire to be one day.
they are Ais that do lead vocals basically undistinguishable from a human
@@danielracovitan9779 Yes, but like I said, if the person singing is a great singer, AI will do a good job. If the singer has terrible timing and pitch then AI pretty much copies that lol. So just be prepared to do lots of editing if that’s the case. It’s not a magical tool at the end of the day.
Excellent video subscribed, such a scary dystopian thing but watching two super talented people made me feel some excitement for this. Doctor Mix’ enthusiasm is infectious. Great content!
I know people don't like this AI vocal stuff but this is a game changer for someone like me. I have the creativity and and can lay down the instrumental tracks. Now I have the final piece of the puzzle.
I am a combat war veteran who received radiation for neck cancer. My vocal chords were impacted. I write my own music including vocals but can't sing them. Now I can express myself through music again thanks to AI.
See yes I think AI is good in the hand of creatives but non creatives are lazy and will be using the hard work of artists to make money and put us out of jobs and also attacking us and accusing us of not being as good as them lol.
You totally "get" it.
Ai replace your creativity too!
@@smaplessmap5355- I promise not to allow AI to replace my creativity! If I do, I'll tag you on a 100% AI generated song with the name "smaplessmap5355 doesn't support disabled military Veterans".🙏🏼
Hey that's a big score for you, go for it! But there's more... Imagine an epic video to match the song. With AI video we could mold it similarly, type in the song's lyrics and see what it unleashes with video scenes. Get creative!! Set the theme, characters in the 'style of' Barbarella or whatever, press the button, and whammy a Grammy!!
This was really cool. Every time I watch your videos I’m always struck by just how much fun this channel is - thank you!
As a drummer and producer for decades, I switched from acoustic drums to Simmons drums in 1984. People worry that this technology replaces real people, but it rarely happens. No vocalist will use this in their voice if they can really sing. So as long as there is talent there will be real singer. This is a great tool for producers to do back tracks in a pinch, and use them in demos or for real if it works to bring something to the song. I use ai in my graphic design to create mocks, then I go and use those mock ai renderings to pitch to concepts clients. Then the hiring begins, photographer, crews, directors etc…ai is a tool, not a replacement, for true artists and musicians. Anyone using it as the main thing will be found out.
Maybe for now. In couple of years regular person won't be able to tell the diffrence between real singer and AI. Only few super-talented people remain and rest will be replaced by the computer.
About 1% can really sing
This is very different. you dont use your drum machine by saying 'hey, drum machine, make me an authentic trap beat' and then it just spits ot something for you. Its still a tool, that requires humans, working the levers, applying their own creativitty and vision to create something.
love ya DM but this video is hard to watch. i loathe the idea behind it. Its all a very dark vision of the future, mostly for people that have dedicated their lives to music and making art and those that support themselves, at least in some capacity with their art get hit the hardests. It also sounds horriffic to my ears, but, Ill bet it wont in 6 months.
It's not entirely the same, but what about Autotune and even Vocaloids? They were intended for other applications and turns out they grew massively to the point where a singer whole thing is using Autotune...
This is what I have been waiting for a long long time!! Thank you guys!!
It could be great for adding background voices and chorus voices
From vocaloid to ai voices, we have come so far with music technology.
Edit: I didn’t know you knew about vocaloid, Claudio! You should try it in a future video!
this is the second time I'm hearing about vocaloid in just 2 days! thx 4 making the link - I can see it would have been useful to see a Vocaloid in action (like this video) as I thought it was totally something else!
I heard about it through Yamaha's website years ago
Vocaloid 6 is bad compared to ACE Studio. I've compared both. ACE Studio sounds way more like a real singer... wayyyy more. And in Vocaloid 6 you can't freeform draw pitch. So you can't do big slow pitch bends or other effects that vocalist would. For smaller bends you have very little control. Only bad thing about ACE Studio is the payment model (subscription, not a product)
You need to hear audimee it sounds 100x better than this one
@@freyafoxmusic Audimee is just a converter? The point is that you can program the vocals like MIDI, and it still sounds real. Like V-Synth. So you can create real sounding vocals, without knowing how to sign at all
As someone who is geting back into composing and producing aga in after 15 years of having it on ice, theese AI tools are really interesting as tools to help me get back into it.
What I want to hear is, a group of backup singers doing multi-part harmony with this. Give them a tiny bit of pitch drift, and offset each of their vibratos a bit, and I bet it would sounds spectacular.
Yes!! This is probably the most exciting use of that technology as a solo musician. I recently listened to "Hey Joe" by Jimi Hendrix and noticed how the backup harmonies really enhance the song. Imagine if even smaller musicians could get their own backup harmonies.
One solution, back to the roots, we'll only trust singers that we see sing. Living art will have a sense again.
@@Matx5901Well given the right amount of processing power real time modulation is right around the corner. I tested software that had 1.2 seconds lag. I had to use noise cancelling but for Karaoke it was amazing. People in the room couldn't believe I had changed gender with one mouse click.
I did that on a home setup. A professional setup with the right gear can no doubt do these modulations in real time while keeping latency low. They could basically make Mickey Mouse's voice sound like Humphrey Bogart or Sinatra on a live stage😂
That was shocking. As somebody who can’t sing it sounds fun to play with, but I don’t want diminish how much talent and skill the best singers have.
You mean lucky genetics for good voice timbre. Screw the genetically gifted. We're on an equal playing field now; it's the best composer who wins
@@scary5455 That’s pathetic about lucky genetics. You could say the same about intelligence and soon AI will think and do other job than employ people. No one wants fake talent. Theirs no even playing field other than pure talent. If you are OK deluding yourself and don’t think you won’t get caught out when in a raw situation and asked to sing you are sorely mistaken. The more you go down that rabbit hole is the more you will be tested on the spot if you pertain to be that good!!!! Cheating world is that what you want!
@@scary5455That's fucking hilarious, I mean ai will never become a better composer than us,,,wait,,oh right it is going to be better than us! When the playing field is levelled and everything exists in a pool of above average mediocrity the talented individuals will once again come on top, because they will be able to do something unique and of more value than any untalented rando can.
@@scary5455 EXACTLY. This only threatens those who were dominating a competence hierarchy. Which is FINE. I am not competing with them evr using these tools or Band n the Box. Why CAN'T I use it to demo songs or a cappella arrangements and sell them? I am not marketing singing talent? Or pretending it is me singing or playing. I am marketing it as a creative person. Nothing wrong with that. Some singers use autotune and pitch correction right now AND STILL act like it is them. This is nothing more than a tool.
@@11kwright Bull shit. I am not advertising myself as a singer like Britney Spears and company hiding behind pitch correction being fucking millionaires while people lose their homes and are broke. I would use it honestly as a creator and be able to make music and sell it honestly marketing the CREATION not the performance. Someone who is more talented WILL end up getting to sing it for real in concert. And it will be because creators like me supplied them with a demo of a song to sing and make millions off of. Settle down!
So awesome !! impossible now possible, a dream.
As a music junkie who spent decades playing guitar and wishing I was a better singer, ai is helping me finally put down the songs I've had in my head for years. I don't have a close circle of musician friends, so I love this technology. It's democratizing art and allowing the creativity of those without the means to pay for a full studio session to get their ideas and expressions out to people.
I'm in the same boat as you regarding vocals. Ai will certainly give us tools to write songs and produce demos etc. This is fine to satisfy our own creative endeavours, but commercially, there won't be any way to stand out via self-promotion as an artist - it will level the playing field too much. I think this is an issue. I also think not everybody should compete as a 'great' vocal artist.
It's potentially good for songwriting ideas and demos for real artists, but should be restricted to that imo. The tech should not become the artist... or whats the point?
hear hear..i played instruments and i have alot of ideas but my voice just couldnt reach the notes...now i an actually can cut an album in my home..doing at all at my own pace..

I don't remember when I enjoyed a UA-cam video as much as I enjoyed yours @Doctormix!!! Love it !
Wow, thanks!
You guys are amazing. Future for artists has no limits. Look at these guys. 🤍
It is insane. On one hand, composers with no strong singing skills can finally complete the work effortlessly. On the other hand, many singers could get discouraged. An effort of years trying to educate a voice can be easily beaten by someone with a keyboard and a software.
And in a year or two these skill-less people will be able to do it in real time so they can pretend live in front of an audience they have a voice and talent they don’t have.
Musicianship will not die live music will always be relevant
I'm beaten and will always be beaten by millions of human singers, I still sing and put lots of effort to learn. It's not a competition.
Welcome to the new world. People get even more inpatient
But soon the singers will be replaced by holograms and robots and you won't be able to distinguish between reality and hoax. There's a film with Al Pacino about this, Simone, very old in fact.
Tomorrow: mixing engineer, cameraman, youtuber, pianist and singer as AI bots
We: It's just a tool.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The reason that I gave this video a thumbs up despite all of the things that I could point out that I do not like about the underlying issues with this video, but the fact that you summed it up (no pun intended) with the statement that informed everyone to not panic and to remember all of the other technologies that everyone thought would end the use of real musicians, is the reason I joined the channel.
Yeah, like drumcomputers were actually a threat to real drummers. This is a very different situaton though because you actually can be fooled. Of course the question is, who would want to listen to this at a live gig? But then, as human looking robots develop, you soon won't even be able to tell.

Sprzęt profesjonalny, lekkość podejścia do tworzenia.
Opens up a whole new world for a lot of creative bedroom producers who would never had the chance to work with amazing singers. Looking forward for great new artists who now have the chance to express themselves. ❤️
Amazing results really liked the breath inserts
This is amazing! As someone who loves music but can't sing at all, I'm excited about the possibilities that AI vocalists like ACE Studio open up. It would be great to be able to create songs without needing any musical training.
I'm curious to see how this technology develops in the future. Do you think AI will ever be able to completely replace human singers?
One of the things i dont think ai can do (yet) is the chest/head voice flips, or even whistle tones for the highest soprano voices.
So what?

Wow.
It was cool!!! Wow!!! So this is how musical masterpieces are created!!!!
It's a perfect solution for composers and musician like me who can't sing. So I can bring my tunes to finished pieces ❤😊
You're right! But don't forget: from now on there will be a billion of new (non)singers with new A.I.-made songs. Maybe bring your tunes to finished pieces will be a completly waste of time 'cause it may never be heard with so many "non-singers" like you competing to taking your place.
It's so crystal clear to see... just give a billion dollars to all humans on Earth and see money lost the meaning of richness. This will heappen with music from now on.
@@MatrimonialVideo Not only non-singers but actually non-songwriters too. Type in a few prompts and you have "created" a song. It is hard to predict what value music will still have once this really takes hold.
You dont realize how good singer you really are without this AI at all
awesome 😍😍😍
I have Synthesizer V. Amazing plug-in but te make it sound good it takes a lot of time but it gives you the ability to write vocal tracks and test them out
Cameras didn’t destroy the art of painting, they just helped send painting in a more exciting direction. We got Impressionism, Expressionism and more…
This is a wonderful tool for generating derivative mechanical singing - but I’m excited about the response ‘actual singing’ will take.
It’s all good !
Це цікаво , але ніколи не замінить виконання наживо ☝️

Models, actors, painters, musicians, vocalists, and pretty much everyone in these artistic areas are going down in flames with this. Some people struggle for years to become good at something, and by the click of some buttons, the AI is able to do better within seconds. Though, I genuinely think this will be a phase that will be overtaken again in a couple decades. I think people in 20 years will be surprised and an intrigued by finding out they just heard/saw something produced by a real human, and it will be re-appreciated in a new way. But the next years to follow, we WILL be flooded by AI content for sure, and a lot of people will have to find new areas to earn money from their artistic values.
@mindtreat This comment wrong or right belongs right here in 2024.
In 2023 there was 45million songs on spotify with 0 streams. this is before the AI onslaught! I don't think these talentless songwriters etc who are about to use AI to do something they have no talent in know what they are up against.
@@krusher74the talent is in marketing
you still need to be an artist to create a good song with AI. you still need to be a programmer to create good code with AI. same for images in regards to design and taste. but yeah more people will join and make songs, movies, code, images. images is the easiest..so AI really takes over
no because AI is modeled off real things, just like midi or photogrammetry. They will have to sample/train more singing styles and this can be a big payout for artists with unique styles. This particular singing style to me is over used, i can't absorb it.
ho----lee----shit! This is even better than Melodyne! This is getting amazing, awesome, and SCARY at the same time. My mind is blown as a producer for over 25 years! AND now we have tools that can totally separate vocals from songs!
Most all of what I've seen (and heard) from AI could be considered a clever parlor truck at best. Having said that ... I regularly use AI as a creative time-saving tool.
Thanks for this presentation!
This is a great tool for demoing and creating ideas. I don't think it (or any AI) will ever recreate the human faults and errors that come naturally when you sing, but I can see that this tool will be helpful if you want to show off a track to a singer before entering the studio, or to simply have creative fun.
Autotune and pitch correction are used routinely to remove the human faults from human recordings so how are human recordings different from AI?
@@nealm1814 Well, I've never used pitch correction on my own voice. It's not like it's mandatory.
It is a clever theft of already existing vocals so yes, it will reproduce it exactly because it is recreated from the original. And there are plenty of good vocalists willing to sell their soul for a dinner.
That’s the right view to it. It’s a nice tool to demo but so good, that one can also use it to fresh up his own vocals.
Just looking at that Nonlinear C15 and the Prophet-10. 😂👍👍👍🔥🔥🔥
Damn... lets just appreciate that the harmonies on "You've got a friend" are just so good. Carole King is a genius.
Your a hoot Doc!!!! Love watching you! hehe..
I’m quitting 😂 really it appears I never got started. Every step I take, the technology is a step ahead.
This geezer is totally nuts and I love it! So entertaining
WOW, mind blown. you are very brave to shed all your dignity and sing for the whole world to listen to.
that software is incredible, and you brought Luis back, yyaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. you are a great team. hope to see more of you both doing what you do best. love to you both. already subscibed and dinged the bell , yesssss.
It honestly feels like every week there is some new advancement in AI that just blows my mind. The quality of this technology is progressing so fast and i get the sense that a tsunami of products are headed our way.
Yep - lets hope they're not all subscription based though. I hate not owning something I've paid for.
@@johnb2602 So do I.
Watched the video till the end waiting to hear a DUET of 'my heart will go on' with you and your 'femaled' voice, but no, helas ... I'm glad you survived the transition without a pair of sciccors ... ;-) Enjoyed the video.
This is actuality just an advanced synthesizer not ai. If it were ai a computer would be doing the work not you. but I must add that you did a great job with the program
Not really.
How did it convert it into ta ta ta ?
lol, no, this is an AI model.
That is just not correct.
Amaizingly and bit scary. Thanx for showing!
This is great, It sound amazing, I defensively prefer AI vocal, this way real musicians can focus more on MUSIC and not just on vocals
I like how you compare this to a tool. When digital maps came out on cell phones I refused thinking I would get dumb by using it. After trying it, the real truth was referencing digital maps while en route absolutely made learning an area much more possible.
I work in AI. It will be a great tool for the next 5-10 years. After that the AI will write great music itself. But we will still have the option to guide it. The question is, if it pumps out perfect song after perfect song, will we still have the desire? I think we will. We'll need to express ourselves. And so we might end up with both.
@@GwaiZai I think it will lead to an unprecedented inflation of everything. And as long as money is a thing, it will be milked endlessly to put out more and more until nobody really cares anymore. People already care much less about the single artist than they used to since the wide "democratization" of music production has lead to so much more music being published (and arguably, the output hasn't gotten any better).
It's not necessarily a bad thing when all is said and done, but nobody can figure out now what the result will be after the impending phase of full-on and merciless implementation.
Because, remember: The unwritten rule of humanity is that everything that is at all doable WILL be done. Screw morals or unintended consequences.
It seems clear anyway that many will lose their jobs. And that's not only true in regards to AI music tools vs. real musicians. Painters, writers, filmmakers. You name it.
Great thoughts! I think everyone is going to lose their jobs, some faster than others. Even the people that own the models. They'll just be raking it in while the models do all the work. It will upend everything. Maybe it frees us up for leisure, maybe it enslaves us. On current day music - I'd argue there is lots of great stuff out there, it's just a much more fractured landscape so less people hear it and less people appreciate it when they do because it is no longer a major event as it might have been in the past. Democratization has oddly also meant that music is no longer viewed as subersive@@dkpianist
@@GwaiZai That's an interesting thought that music has become less subversive these days. Like, punk is dead (as is rock 'n roll). No more rebels in music. I share that view.
I think it's too early to tell how this technology is going to influence humanity's trajectory. Maybe it will be "just another tool in the box" as the more optimistic among us would suggest, maybe it will make us all obsolete (and seek to destroy us useless eaters, Terminator style).
I do maintain however that this in no way comparable to other technological landmarks, like the invention of the steam engine or what have you. One thing is certain: the upcoming years shan't be boring at all.
"Like Prince, Cobain, Lennon, Hendrix...worth more than some high tech trick". May organic intelligence continue making music.
Such a great piano player. Beautiful.
Anyone else realising we ARE ai?!?!
I keep it real tho
we need more Dr. Mix singing!
This is incredible. I’d like to hear you doing doubling of the vocals (ie record your voice singing the same song twice) and then try different mixes (eg Female singer with her doubled voice, Female + Male Doubled voce, etc). You could even try it doing choral voicings. I’m blown away by how good this sounds.
I love this. It will eradicate the "Larger Than Life Egotistic Diva Singer" plague for good..
There will also likely be quite a bit of collateral damage to the humble, down to Earth singers as well...
@michael64hThis has been legally challenged recently. A person can copyright a performance they make, but not the sound of their voice. It was argued that counts as "likeness", and the courts said no. Get ready for a thousand AI clone albums.
And singers think the same about producers after using suno ai.
Ultimately it will probably also replace the pompous producer who sneers on singers.
@michael64h So many will do that, and they will be paid pennies for it.
Copenhagen 🇩🇰 always supports DOCTOR MIX
I'm using a different AI product, but similar results. I tweak it and do odd things with the pitch, etc and then you get something more individual and original. Great for electronica.
Awesome! Breaking the music monopoly
This is sarcasm, right?
