The complete lack of words makes this video/lesson far more enjoyable than everything else on UA-cam.
Made it way easier to Learn the beats than someone explaining it to me. I’m a simple man. I see someone do something and I copy them hahaha
I had turned on the subs, only have it randomly say "[Music]"
actions speaks louder than words.
Agreed. Can UA-camrs STOP with the "WHATS UP, GUYS!?" , and the "Don't forget to like and subscribe!" bullshit?
This dude has requested nothing and still received my "sub" and "like".
@@OrphanPipe I'm also sick and tired of all the filler talk in all those zoomer UA-camrs. Imagine watching a tv show like 60 minutes or something, and the first ten minutes were about how many viewers they have and what completely unrelated stuff reporters did earlier that week. It's because for most UA-camrs, their videos are first and foremost about them, not the content. Secondly, everyone wants to reach the ten minute mark, since it generates more money.
Meshuggah bleed unplugged accoustic live at CNN
dang straight hahahahaha
@Mac Ton ahahaha thankyou 😁 this is the most likes i've ever got so far
Mac Ton reddit moment
Hahahaha ua-cam.com/video/p5x3XbGrk3Y/v-deo.html
*in soft Soothing voice* beams of fire sweep through my head
I'm going to go ahead and assume that this is way harder than he is making it look
WAY harder
Polyrhythms make it 50 times harder
It is
It took Haake the drummer in Meshuggah like 7 months to learn this song, so it is hard.
How did it take a drummer seven months to learn his own song? Is it his?
Love the snare. Definitely has some weight.
I hate this comment so much. Lol
we see what you did there.
What did you expect? He's playing Heavy Metal!
ha
When he adds the tambourine it almost sounds like drum n bass breakbeats. It's very beautiful what he has done with Bleed.
That snare sounds fantastic
mans deadass has a weight on his drum
@@sappy.2128 why he does that? (weight on his snare.)
@@shadesofmalice98 more compressed tone less ringing
Ya pretty sure it’s a mapex daisy cutter things a straight cannon
@@DevilWearsAdidas that would do little for sound reduction, it's for resonance reduction
Feels like i'm actually there, _in front_ of the guy, being taught drums and that he, without saying one word, _demands_ my complete, undivided attention. I can tell this guy would be a high quality tutor
Look at him now. If you took lessons from him for this duration of time you would be known by now.
I prefer your videos over any other drum channel. No obnoxious intros. Straight to the point tutorial. You actually bring it back a notch and show how to do it slowly instead of just giving the full send. Love your work.
Meshuggah - Bleed, but you're in a Midwest Emo band.
Didnt expect to see midwest emo mentioned on this video
with guitars tuned to FACGCE
low F though
@@fromthistexasbreath stringing in skip 6 but it's skip 6 and 7. i love it.
cap'n jazz covers meshuggah
The moment I read that you're playing bleed on a single pedal I felt I had one testicle, the other one was useless
Thanks guys! I've never got so many likes.
Time to donate my testicle.
jet_black heart well, he’s done it by moving the kick drum pattern to the hihat. So he’s not exactly playing it with one pedal. Still great, don’t get me wrong.
If he could play bleed with one pedal, you can live with one testicle just fine! :)
Just Some Guy With No Mustache I’m pretty sure you actually can live with only one testicle. ...You can technically live with none too but at that point you cannot produce sperm😂
Love this convo bro lol
Hahahaha hahaha best comment
Brilliant drumming, this was exactly what I was looking for! The hi-hat is such an undervalued piece of equipment in a lot if modern metal drumming. Jazz drummers have the definitive upper hand here.
this guy not low key at all teaches drums without saying anything better than most of the other drum teachers on youtube
I always thought of doing drum lessons myself. Brake downs of little weird beats similar to this. But I don’t know a whole lot about drum theory so it seems that remaining silent and letting the beat speak for itself is pretty wise.
The theorists can brake it down later if they want.
As the saying goes...... Actions speak louder than words. 👍🏻
I mean idk about all that
I'd say this isn't really a Bleed lesson, but rather a really sick groove inspired by the song, with a really good tutorial. I will definitely agree with all the folks saying this this guy does a better job giving a drum lesson without speaking than 99.9% of all youtube drum lessons with speaking. Serious props either way
It's is a Bleed drum pattern except he's changed what's being hit. It's not a new inspired groove.
Bleed with one pedal is not gonna sound like Bleed numbnuts. Orion is not Orion without bass
@@mapexblack messhuggah use tamborines all the time
that's not original bleed, yeah... but I think that's a good (very good I would say) way to start...
this version is hard enough to learn
@@leandroantunes2044 yeah the whole thing is just scrumptious lol
The lack of commentary is refreshing. No over explanation to get in the way or bog down the lesson, just pure execution. More tutorials need to be like this.
This has only given birth to more questions.
Wow this is just way beyond me. You new generation of drummers are just beasts. You're doing stuff that the top 10 drummers of all time wished they could do. Amazing
Amazing how you didn't have to say a word but yet still teach something.. Well done.
Plot twist: he can't speak
Quick and to the point. A lot of people should learn that, too.
Thank you , I am deaf
Next: Bleed on a cajon
On bongas :))
@@yrussq ua-cam.com/video/bhPaY1HEjEc/v-deo.html
On a cowbell
@@spikeruchiha80 woah calm down satan you wanna trigger all Cowboys to mosh?
Way easier on Cajon I can just use four fingers to do the double bass beat. Its cheating really.
I've always felt that Bleed was not difficult enough to play on drums, thank you for this wild man
I got bamboozled. I thought it will be his one kick doing all the work. But then again, it seems working great for sticking exercise and the song too.
Just use your tactical so you can have 2 people playing the drums, makes it easier. Or you could use your ult, but thats another story...
I think it's like, physically impossible to do the bass drum parts for this song on one kick
@@leviathan3630 I think it is TECHNICALLY possible. Drummers like Aaron Kitcher can play 64th notes at that tempo with both feet, which means that a hypothetical human can, in fact, play the pattern with one foot. Is it realistically doable? No. Is it POSSIBLE? Yes it is
Wild
Didn't expect to see you here
Joakin Phoenix getting ready for the new role
These patterns are so groovy. MIxing stomped hats with closed hits is something I've barely explored with my playing, but now I want to start using these exercises to incorporate it more into my playing. Thanks for the awesome demonstration! :]
The weighted gargantuan snare hit different doe.
Brilliant video!! Why am I still amazed how good you are, when I've seen so many of ur vids??
Excelente video Jorge! Muchas gracias por estas clases! Ahora a practicar! 💪
Great exercise and helpful. It is fantastic how you have transfered the complex groove to a single pedal alternative.
The foot work dialed in with his hands is most impressive. The high hat gets a ton of action and to have it that fine tuned with everything going on in this beat is really amazing work.
Best breakdown i ve ever seen for bleed! Thank you for taking the time to make such a good quality video!!!
This is the most quiet version of bleed that I've ever heard
you are really clean, I love this sound and the patterns.
Love it, creative, clever, funny but, most than anything, you're showcasing interesting exercices!
Man...its just amazing to hear you drum
Genius!! This is great to play with your buddys who dont like metal 😂
rbeforme haha I only have like three friends who like metal I’m in ga near atlanta. Everyone likes rap and country. I like all of it
@@rbeforme you're friends with people?
MissingOrchid Dude, Metal is HUGE in ATL! Back before the shutdown, the masquerade was hosting metal shows seemingly every other day and they were all packed out! I miss going to concerts :(
Donovan Lloyd yes those concerts are cool and have a lot of people, but there’s still way more popularity in rap shows, dj’s, country artists, karaoke.
Very creative take on Bleed! Loved it!
Very cool. Thomas himself needs to see this.
Gracias, Jorge!
Absolutely brilliant interpretation and orchestration. Loving the hi-hat work very much!
Love how you broke it down. You help so many achieve what seemed “impossible”. I wonder how many drumsticks you’ve saved lol.
Meshuggah is like a masterclass in rhythm and groove :)
That's some bad ass shit!! I've been playing for years and it is challenging stuff! Awesome video bro!!
What a brilliant interpretation , it's great to see a drummer finding a totally different way of playing bleed but it still having the recognisable time signature, very impressed , I know he's a metal head but I'm convinced hes into drum n bass to .
This process of building it up in layers - beautifully done
Could you do a regular double bass break down just like this . But I enjoy how you make these songs your own. Thankz keep these vids coming
It is awesome how you do not talk when u do not need to do it, straight to the point, but clear. Dude, this is a great channel, I've been watching your vids since yesterday. I'm a guitarist. But I'm really enjoying watching u play drums. Great work! And this song? Dude. I'm starting a Djent solo project, If you want you can cover one of my songs. That'd be just...wow!
This is some wizard teaching. Well done.
Dude , you are so to the point . Love it
Wow, Great idea! I never thought like this way of combinations. Well done mate!
I love your vids... Teaching and recreating songs in your style... Amazing. It feels like you are the fastest drummer out there and I love it.Would like to see your take on Nightwish, "Ghost love score".
Bro!!!! You are a beast!!! I am very impressed with this. Not at all what I thought it was gonna be!!
Nice! Amazing control!
Fuck yeah man!!! Finally someone who doesn't talk your hear off and just plays. Plus, this is quite helpful.
This is a great beat. Very inspirational! Thank you :D
Super creative, I absolutely love this.
Adoro a este crack. Sabe que sabe mucho y se apiada de nosotros reduciendo el tempo de cada cosa para compartir lo que sabe!
Wait for funky acoustic all instruments version! )))
Love the way it sounds with the tambourine
Definitely one of the most creative takes in this I've seen. Well done sir!
Amazing drumming! So musical!
Amazing Play!! Thank You!!
Going to be using these as warm-up drills
Man,you inspired me for practice. Very cool!
Wow man such a creative take on this.. just amazing.. every video!
This is very creative!
You rule man! Thank you for the video!
subbed cause you freakin wrecked my drum motivation!
Wait a minute... I get it the clock in the background is the time signature. AWESOME VIDEO MANG!
you're definitely over thinking this lol
its just going along normally
The time of the song is 7/4 ?
@@reardeltoit4644 4/4
Es un genio saludos desde México gracias por su colaboración he aprendido un polo viendo sus vídeos que los ejercicios está muy buenos y como usted lo enseña se hace fácil ejecutarse
That snare drum sounds amazing
Found you randomly the other day - absolutely love your style
I've never heard the song, but now I feel compelled to learn it. Great patterns!
i love the fast demonstration, then the hand gestures to reassure us that a slower explanation is incoming
meshuggah ft. noisia - D n Bleed
Yeah something to learn again and improvise excellent work
The best breakdown I´ve seen of Bleed.
Piyas muy guay los poliritmos, poca gente por muy pros que sean pueden interiorizar temas como este y similares, con un entendimiento correcto y perfecto, sin tener que llevar el patrón/partirura perfecta, sino ni saben por dónde les da el aire. Grande.
I expected you to do the hertas with one foot which I was excited to hear but this is fucking amazing man.
This is genius! And so tight, awesome!
Dude this is truly epic.
excelente video, adorei a sua forma de expressão. não precisou dizer nada. forte abraço do brasil.
That left hand lead is sick 🤘🏼🥁🤘🏼
TRE-MEN-DO! Y sin decir una sola palabra! 👏
Estos patrones estan increibles muchas gracias!!
Hard work pays off....Humble BEAST!
❤️Love this break down.❤️ Difficult, but if you dissect it like this...then practice,practice,practice...you can probably do it. You just need to tell yourself you CAN.
It’s amazing bro!Very want more videos like this!!!
That was creative articulate clean and most important FUN. There are lessons then there are schoolings and ALOT of drummers just got schooled.
Que bien amigo no paro de sorprenderme lo q tocas la bata! Saludos desde Argentina
Sick groove!
Bleed - the jazz fusion version
No but should make a new song based on that groove. It’s inspired by Bleed, bit it definately has it's own thing going
That's a really cool lesson!
The first two pattern grooves slap so hard
I like it, a different spin on the song, but the Hertas on the kick drum is what really make the song. I heard it took the drummer an exceptionally long time to learn this song alone -- six months.
Great interpretation
Massive snare. And it sounds so good!
Dude, this feels like an early 2000's parkour movie soundtrack
That's quite specific haha
Awesome man thank you for the tricks
🤘😈🤘
Dude didnt speak but you understand everything he says, and all the dislikers cant follow polyrhythms
This is the most mental thing I've seen on drums. I'm shit but I can usually get whats going on. This is magic. Sorry don't believe it. Haha. Well done man this is incredible.
Not quite what I was expecting, but equally awesome 👏
