Thanks or these videos man you really did everyone a service
Thank you. There’s a whole bunch of them, you can do a lot of different things with these videos. Couple of them are very good guides on cleaning and putting back together.
@@riverlunacy no your's is the best I tried another guys and got it all apart and he didn't show how to put it back together was like welp have a good day and that was it lol I nearly broke my brakes because I didn't know how to put them back in and I put everything back together went to turn the handle and my spindle didn't move..
@brett7794 it’s actually best to hold the spool straight up and down in your hand and then take the frame and put it over top of it
Hey there. Great tutorial and I'm glad to see the break plate completely disassembled. I took mine apart, and followed the schematic, but for some reason after I put it back together nothing is engaging. when I turn the handle, the free spool button keeps jamming as well. Could I see a close up of the pinion gear that looks like an hour glass, and the orientation into the yolk? It looks like it needs to go down into the spool and grab onto the little bars on the brake mechanism in order to turn the spool, but mine won't go that far. Maybe I put it into the yolk a bit too high, but it looks like the gears would bite into the plast yolk if it was seated farther down.
Check the yolk and make sure you didn’t put it on backwards. The open side of the yoke should be facing you and the angled part of the yolk facing downward so all the mechanisms push it up and down. There are several videos I’ve made with these reels. i’d imagine one of them shows the brake plate a little better
And yes, the slotted part of the yolk should be toward the spool
Hi, Please provide the carbontex part number
20171 I believe. If that doesn’t work try looking up at a drag washer and a 6000,6500 series, they are the same
says breakdown, video its already broken down,,failure
Breakdown meaning the procedure of cleaning the reel. Apologize for your inconvenience, hopefully you got something out of it
