Yes, please be wary of this. Due to the design of the retina screen on Macbooks, over time, the pressure from switching the camera cover and closing your laptop may eventually damage the screen and may also leave marks, which you most definitely do not want on your laptop. My cousins work in an Authorised Service Center have warned me about this as they saw an increase in these cases over the past few months, probably due to working from home hence the more frequent use of their Macbooks. For security purposes, you’re probably better off with washi tape. I think I saw a comment on another video where a tech guy (sorry I forgot) mentioned the same thing so yeah, better to be safe than sorry.
Get it from the Apple education store! They’re giving the AirPod 1st gen for free, the wireless for $40 or the pros for $90. Plus $100 off the original price.

I enjoyed your video. The 250gb hard drive threw me for a loop when you mentioned video saves. Being that you'd be saving videos directly onto the external hard drive, I would recommend a 1tb at the least.

i think it depends which one you get. I ordered one off amazon because I didn’t want any scratches & it honestly fits perfectly on the MacBook. It’s not too small either

If you have to put a sort of cover on your computer, use a post-it note and cut that or a washi tape bit.

You can move it back and forth just to be extra sure your cam isn’t on, I’m on and off video meetings for work all day so I always get scared it’s still on 😂

beware of putting those camera covers as they can cause a crack down the middle of the screen due to pressure being put on from the cover.

The plug in hub won't fit correctly with a case. You can have a case on the MBP as long as there are vents. It won't affect the fan. Mine is fine.

It scratches the laptop and its bad for thermals, I personally dont advise a case for the macbook
