These women are no longer trying to go from crappy relationships to crappy marriages. If she doesn’t want to get married for whatever reason then she has a right not to. Ppl love to talk about what they don’t know as if women are entitled to marry these males. Also, based on the comments u posted ppl said they saw where he was her stalker. Idk how true that is but I wouldn’t be shocked if he was her stalker. Two things about public proposals:
    1. If you don't want to be rejected in public, don't propose in public.
    2. If your partner says no to a public proposal, that's on you for not knowing them well enough to propose like that. Before you propose , you should a) know how your partner feels about a future with you and b) know how they feel about public proposals. If you are blindsided by a negative reaction to either of those things, you had no business proposing. It's really that simple.

  • @nataliawashington872

    5:12 Ladies! If you don’t want to say yes in public, DO NOT SAY YES! You are not responsible for his feelings, you can’t help if he ends up embarrassed or not. Why should you? He didn’t care about your personal feelings enough to even come to you to talk about marriage and a possible proposal, to see what you like and if you even want to get married, so why should you care about his feelings on if he’s embarrassed or not. And I’m not saying this to be petty or bitter or anything of the sort. I just feel like marriage should be between two people who genuinely love and care for each other, and if you can’t walk up to your partner and ask them if they are ready for marriage, just what other things was your partner not comfortable doing or something they did want to do but you were just too insensitive to see that or listen to their opinion. That’s just my thought, if they can’t even ask you if you even *WANT* to get married, should you even get married. So I wouldn’t spare his feelings at all. That may sound cruel, but sometimes somethings shouldn’t be sugarcoated.

    Funny how we CONSTANTLY have to handle men with white gloves whenever they’re at risk of heartbreak or emotional pain.
    We’re always expected to handle them with care, not embarrass them, comfort them, etc.
    It’s like we owe them emotional availability and softness and if we don’t and they hurt, it’s our fault for not treating well or being empathetic. We become the villains.
    But when the script is flipped men can go out of their way to embarrass women, manhandle women, hurt women and provide us with no emotional availability and it’s our fault because we chose the wrong guy.
    We don’t get comfort, we don’t get the white gloves, we don’t get the softness, we get nothing.
    So I’m sorry if I feel no ways about bro getting publicly humiliated. He should’ve known better and planned things better.

If he did they would’ve told him that she doesn’t do public proposals/has social anxiety/and or isn’t ready for an engagement. A considerate person would’ve made sure she felt safe and secure before proposing. He felt entitled to coerce her into a yes. He is not a victim. 😕

    i never understood coddling feelings in front of people. if you want to say no, say no. literally no one is forcing you. it's more disrespectful to yourself to say yes then have everyone asking you about it or cheering for no reason. Those strangers don't have to live your life so don't let them influence your decision.

    3:13 the speed she using to run tells me all I need to know. She seems very scared and the comments confirmed it for me. The fact that those ladies were saying they'd say yes at first is why men confidently proposed in public, they know that many women will feel pressure and say yes. There's a video in a Nigerian church and the lady slapped him, dumped his cake on him and stormed out screaming 😂😂😂😂. Now I don't condone violence but if you ask a question, all kinds of responses can be produced 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️. People should keep their things to themselves, it's not even just to avoid embarrassment.

    She did the right thing. I think it’s actually worse to get the persons hopes up and make them think you accepted. Then you go out to dinner together or something and he’s texting his whole family that you said yes and they are all blowing up your phones saying congratulations. Then when you get home and let him down softly in private he has to sit there and tell everyone oh false alarm she actually didn’t say yes… that’s actually more effed up in my opinion. Women should be made responsible for grown men’s feelings and shouldn’t feel socially pressured to say yes just because he might suffer five minutes of embarrassment. It would be worse if she waited until later. What if he updated his Facebook status right after proposing? Everyone would know. That would be worse for him.

  • @TiredButHardWorking
    @TiredButHardWorking 3 місяці тому +5

    I'm always very realistic. No one except the man & woman can possibly know the dynamic of their relationship. This young woman has every right to leave & run for her life if she is aware that this man is not the proper person for her to marry. Opinions of the general public (aka strangers) & even her family & friends do not matter whatsoever when the young woman is the only person in a relationship with this man. This guy could've been abusive to this young woman from the start of the relationship & she had a difficult time leaving. If the man was committing financial abuse & the woman was unable to work for whatever reason(s), then she was financially trapped. Escaping abusive relationships is almost impossible with no money, especially if you have babies to care for & protect. He could have been committing adultery against her and threatening her life if she left him. There are too many possibilities as to what is happening behind closed doors within their relationship. All I know is this young woman has to do what is best for her & she also has to think of her babies' safety if she has babies.

I remember I rejected a guy and men were upset with me. The fuck am I suppose to say?
