I have lost so many friends because I’m a high maintenance friend who requires reciprocity. I’ve been made to feel bad because I do a lot for my friends then be hurt if the same is not reciprocated. I just feel like if you’re not the kind of person who wants that kind of friendship, you don’t get to just be passive in the friendship and get all the benefits but can’t text back or communicate or be present and supportive. So yeah, I’ve learned to walk away, it breaks my heart because I don’t have a lot of friends already but I’d rather just be with my sisters and the two or three other people who show up.
