Once again, really appreciate all the feedback and comments everyone. Back in Australia now and missing the Warhorse dearly. Hopefully it won't be too long ... I did, however, grab a fresh 22 twin-cylinder to keep me occupied until then. New film from Down Under coming soon ✌️
YouTubing looks so crazy. Do a video about how you setup a video camera to record your ride on the sand track and happen to capture your fall coming around the corner. Seriously I wonder how many people consider the craziness of that sequence.
You did not mention if you manage to find lost tripod? I guess not, since you were buying new shoes ;) Also, what was the price to ship the Bike from London to Australia? Thank you!
The story goes from the beer to the shoes to the painful success of getting warhorse out of the ditch and is better than most modern movies and tv series... Absolutely love it!💚
Thank you for reminding me ot the true meaning of life for a motorcyclist and dirt biker. I'm getting 60 soon and will inevitably run out of time for this kind of journeys. Thanks for feeding my mind with meaning what life is all about. WIll hit the roads and the dirt soon. Stay well, Adam.
I am 63 and had around 43 years of riding, all sorts of bikes and been lucky to have done many Euro trips, a St Africa ride and an India adventure and all of it awesome ... then the last couple of years I lost my mojo and was for selling everything and packing in ... then I bought an XT660z and did the Italian Alps and some off road / gravel passes and now I feel 18 again, full of plans formnew adventures and just bought a Benelli TRK 502x and come spring I am going back to Italy. So ... do it mate ... these videos are inspiring and everyone needs to have an adventure
I can’t believe this… I have been watching your videos for years and now realise you passed my house in the Netherlands by no more than 2 km… funnily enough it’s at the place where you crashed it 😂
Adam, I think that you are the number 1 creating moto adventure videos, I have no doubt. please keep on filming more and more. you do very well to the world of two wheels . “To rediscover the simple joy of motorcycling as a passion, not for profession. “ 🙏🏻👏🏻 from Argentina 🇦🇷
33 minutes of a big smile on my face because of the recognition of my own previous travels alone, your great filming, commentary, music. Thank you! Peter from Belgium
Recently discovered your channel, and loving it! Gravitated towards your content because of the Africa Twin, I love my RD07. Done plenty of greenlaning with it, and got the chance to do some rallies round the uk earlier this year! loved every minute of it. I need to do quite a lot of work on her, but I cant face not having it there to ride! I know the gutting feeling of breaking your pride and joy, that's what holds me back on mine somewhat, but I've decided that every battlescar is simply a reminder of the journey me and my bike have been on. Every scratch, dent and crack tells its own story, and makes me think of the fun we've had together!
One of my favorite episodes! Something about this whole concept of giving an old bike a chance to show us what it's made of. The commentary, the thrashing the adventure experience . , it's everything motorcycling is to me.
i rescued a 1995 transalp in india which are quite rare here and very hard to get parts. it was parked for many years just like the warhorse. i managed to order parts and bought the bike even without seeing it ! i was newly married then and convinced my wife that itll be a great idea to fix an old bike and bring it back home after riding through the himalayas of bhutan , nepal to india all the way to kashmir , and then back home to southern east coast of the indian peninsula, madras. took us a good 3 months and 6 set of tires and plenty of oil changes. i call mine 'morgan freeman', its old, its red and full of redemption! in hindsight now, i didnt save that bike, it saved me , never selling morgan, ever, for that matter any of my motorcycles.
You are a legend,I appreciate the way you love your bike ,now days people treat everything as disposable, good to see that you know how great and special your bike is .
That is so true. When I park up next to the GSs on my way to England I look at my old bike, and I wouldn't want anything else. We've been through so much together.
You're video brought out so much emotion in myself. It brought me to tears, my eyes watered. You remind me so much of myself. I could be you. You could be me. We have so much in common and are a world apart and total strangers. Thanks for being you man!
The Warhorse videos make me smile. As a retired racer, rider, motorcycle shop owner I can relate to slowing down in my later years to enjoy my riding now that I have nothing to prove. As a senior rider I would love to see more of that type of content. Us boomers don't all have the funds to by GS Beemers or KTMs. When there are fewer years ahead then are behind us it brings a new appreciation to why we ride to begin with. Thanks
Just bought myself an old Africa twin 750 from 98. Watching your documentary makes me want to make the same journey. I'm pretty new to adventure bike riding so let's hope ill be able to do this one day. Right now I have to be able to handle the basics of off-roading. Great docu I enjoyed every moment of it. Cheers from Belgium
Great work Adam. What a fools on those T7s. I'm sure that if I randomly met you in the middle of nowhere I would not hesitate to ride with you few kilometers. I like the beer phylosophy of yours, you must visit Czech Republic and try our beer mate.
I recently turned 60 and having crossed South America 3 times alone after watching this episode I already feel younger to achieve the goal of reaching Ushuaia because I have not achieved it, thanks for the inspiration, greetings from Colombia.
Fortnine got it sorted with effects and science, and thats awesome I like it, but this.. this is the adventure riding essence in both video and words that no channel has.. just resonates..
Great storytelling Adam, awesome content. I love the ‘warhorse’ concept and story behind it. I hope you can take us on the journey of the bike with you. It’s the personal relationship with your bike that rings authentic connection that you just cannot get with loaner bikes. It’s the commitment of time, effort and your own funds that elevates the story to one that I want to eagerly wait for the next installment of. 👍👍👍
I am healing after crashing my KTM adventure off road a couple days ago. I know the feeling of heart break having scarred up your baby. And a pretty bad sprained ankle to go with it. This video has made me feel so much better. It's the nature of having an adventure. Scratches, add character, and injuries heal. Adventures don't come cheap. But they're always worth it.
*_WOW! What an incredible ride. You have a remarkable ability to tell a story. I hope someday I get the storytelling down. Thanks for sharing this great video._*
Dear Adam, Thank you for this shared journey, I’m going to just put it out there and say by minute 32 you had me at an emotional point that only a man and motorcycle on an adventure can feel. So much emotion that caused my eyes to water. I haven’t shed a tear in man years, but this took me right back to my own euro bike trip back in 2009. I spent 3 months (10,000kms) solo travelling with my motorcycle across the Austrian, Swiss and Italian alps into France and across the Pyrenees mountains of Spain all the way to the Western most point of Spain, Fisterra. It has been far too long since then to have had the same sort of journey, I miss it terribly! Thank you for this video and I am this close to getting myself a new ADV bike to find my next adventure, it is such a shame when life gets in the way of honest true adventure. I must get back there, back to man and machine and adventure! Thank you. - Peter from Melbourne P.S What an awesome adventure you and the Warhorse had look forward to the following adventures to come!
What an amazing story, what an amazing ride, what an amazind landscapes and adventure!!!! This old lady earn her place next to the other bikes that make you what you are today!!! 👏👏
Yes it’s a passion. Riding allows us to decompress from the current moment’s troubles. As you continue to make laps around the sun the passion grows knowing there are fewer rides left than yesterday. This reminded me of On Any Sunday. Stay on the gas
What is that bar/restaurant/pub thing at the end of the video where you have to pass all the customers to get to the motorcycle parking? I NEED TO KNOW! What an awesome spot!
fantastic to watch you riding those trails, it just shows you dont need a fancy bike with all the electronic farkles , good old africa twin ridden with passion,
Personally not even pissed at the free advertisement Honda is getting, wish companies would return to their core commitment - build amazing machines and let men like Adam prove their metier
Same happened to me! Fell in love with my DR 650 RSE from 1992! Bought it 3 years ago just 18000 km and it stays as well! There are three other bikes in the shed but this oldie gives u special vibs. 🤩
Love the videos. It’s funny how it’s great to be alone at times, ride alone, and test yourself, but having a buddy or two that shares the passion makes trips like this a blast.
This Workhorse series it's a much needed reminder to all riders that it's about the journey, the sensation of riding, not about what you ride and how trendy it is.
Awesome mate! Your attitude is exactly what we need. Nothing wrong with an old bike. Not many appreciate it’s not what you have but what you do with what you have and making the most of it. Awesome!!
Absolutely awesome stuff. Love to see you go through everything together with the warhorse. The bond between man and machine, reminds me of "Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance". Even-though binning it was sad to see, have to admit that scar looks pretty damn cool. Very Mad Max, suits an aussie bike. By the way, in case you were wondering about all the upside down flags and the red handkerchiefs in NL, those are in support of the farmers. There's a bit of a debacle going on where the government wants to forcibly close farms/farmers because of their nitrogen and CO2 output. Farmers are often a proud bunch and are not having it, and people do these two things as a show of support for them.
You are exactly right. I’m 63 and haven’t been riding for over 40 yrs. I just bought a 2010 Honda Deauville and having a blast. I wanted to see if I’d enjoy riding again. An adventure bike is in my future. I’m buying one and my youngest son is buying one and we are setting off on a trip. 👍👍👍
I'm not only an admirer of yours but I also totally identify with your philosophy around riding. Namely that it's not important to have new toys and expensive big enduros, what matters is to enjoy the adventure and living with yourself and the bike and nature. Experiences that no one will ever take away from you, they can't be bought you have to experience and sometimes suffer!!!
06:37 no surprise there.. The 1200/1250 GS is the most sold bike (not Adventure... just motorcycle overall) by far in Germany. So 99% of them never see a single meter of dirt road... let alone proper off-road terrain
Had my best years riding on a 03 AT, from Sweden to Sarajevo, to Kiev and so many places in between. This brings back so much memories! Luckily I’m now only one week from a new adventure bike and to make some new memories
Wow. Some of the absolute best motorcycle content on YT. I'm smiling ear-to-ear. The get-off into the ditch, not good. But the riding, the thoughts, emotions, the people, the sights.....magnificent! Thanks Adam!!
I have never own a motorcycle, but I really enjoy watching your Warhorse videos. Such epic travel adventure with touching narrative for the old girl. Can't wait to see the old girl restore for the next epic adventure!!
Delightful stuff Riemann. You always deliver mate. I was pleased to observe how your riding style "changed" a bit when riding that muddy trail section in the UK. Seeing that little extra bit of caution when the stakes were higher. It can be deceiving for us recreational adventure riders to always watch yourself, Davis, or Birch ride ADV bikes for promotional content with such aggression and precision. Those videos can make one wonder "why doesn't my riding look like that." A good reminder that when it's your bike, your time, and your dime, the priorities shift a bit.
Wow what a film! Middle age has arrived! Loved that: “...not today!” and you let the GS in Germany go on! Wonderful film, love the classics in it, including those castles and that lovely bike!
Love it, I’m an advanced beginner in the ‘real’ adventure riding. To me it’s part therapy to rid my sorrows & failures but also to celebrate achievements & clear one’s mind while riding. You’re a beast seeing you do a 180 in that Netherlands ditch. Also respect given an old girl/War Horse ….so many new riders needs a shiny new bike, I respect the dirt/dents/broken bits of a old seemingly out of date bike - ride on!
There is a specific soul connection that you develop with an old Africa Twin...it's way more different than any other bike that I have ridden. It's like my soul companion with a specific function, giving me such a taste of freedom and unity that you managed to catch and present in your videos. Thank you very much and looking forward for the next adventures of the Warhorse.
Bravo Adam! Thanks for taking the girl home, she's effeminately a keeper. I want to see more of her. Thank you for the passion and the love of the experience. Carry on!
This series is awesome, it’s so cool you’re keeping the bike & looking forward to what’s ahead. The storyline, camerawork & detail in all your films is amazing, cheers🤘
Love watching your adventures-and listening to your narration. One of my favorite channels! I appreciate that you can handle yourself in tough situations and find solutions, and that you know your machine so well. Beautiful photography & scenery.
Unlikely though it may be, I hope we cross paths one day. I share your love of solo travel, but 100% for sure I'll get my bike dirty with you should the opportunity present itself. Well done.
My 1996 africa twin was my first bike and all I'll ever need, love the old thing and wouldn't part with it. Truly an amazing bike and reliable tool for any adventure. Class stuff
Dude, this is EPIC! I can't explain how much I loved this. I stand by every message you made. You managed to perfectly capture the essence of what an adventure is. At least for me. The simplicity. Don't need a expensive ADV bike for it. The attitude. Keeping your cool when going gets tough, but never giving up. Enjoying the moment. Can't wait for your next one. Mine too, while I am at it😅
9:57 Something like that happened to me in Dec. 2015. Busted my right knee cap. Never been the same again, I walk with a slight limp. But did it stop me from riding again ? NEVER !
Glued to the screen for this series. My favourite channel on UA-cam. Looking forward to the next one! (Still can’t believe those guys you bumped into wouldn’t ride with you. You wouldn’t have needed to ask me twice! )
Love this guy....love the bike....love the ride...loved the production. Thanks. He's as good a producer/director/actor/adventure rider/mechanic/braveheart as is another adventure rider: "Itchy Boots". She's just finishing riding from Argentina to Alaska on her Honda 300 Adventure bike.
My dog just died today, I gave him to my daughter, 3.5 years ago, he got out last night was half murdered by a monster of a dog( he was a short haired fox terrier,) was put to sleep this morning. I couldn't ride today( Fathers Day), due to being too upset, but will be riding tomorrow, to try and get thru it. Luckily we do have a pup from him, almost a spitting image, and has the same mannerisms, Loved that dog. RIP Rexy Roo. 3/9/2023
DUDE THAT IS SO AWESOME!!! I live in the Netherlands and bought my first bike (an Africa Twin XRV 750 from 1993 in purple, mint green and yellow) 2 weeks ago and can't wait to feel what she is capable off! love to see you cross the Netherlands and show off the capability's of this bike!!!
Wow, what a truly epic and raw adventure! Really getting back to the core of motorcycling. Even if you weren't in love with the Africa Twin, how could you ever sell it after sharing such a journey together? Your best episodes to date! 👍
Being a former africa twin owner, I've enjoyed watching this. This bike is a hoot with proper knobbies on gravel roads. Well balanced, and the stock suspension is actually very good, compared to other old adventure bikes. Yes, it's simple and underpowered by todays standards. But there is also a charm in simplicity. You'll have to be your own ABS and TC, and think more ahead of the track..maybe even ease of the throttle sometimes and just enjoy the scenery and adventure
I'm actually speechless. The way you narrate this and all other adventures. It makes it so peaceful and heartwarming. Everything is on a positive note. I know it doesn't look like this behind the scenes all the time, but still... magic! Thank you!
Kia ora from NZ, I'm sat in hospital waiting for my twin boys to be born watching this and hoping one day i'll be able to share the love of bikes with them! Originally from the UK so was great to see a bit of the old country too! The war horse is ledgendary!!! Hopefully I'll be back out on my DR650 before too long! Great video!!!
I love this so much, the old AT's are my dream bike to have in a garage (from the states so it's a little harder). Just so much history with it... It is just a wonderful thing you've did.
Adam, I’m only 2/3 of a way through this video and I have a newfound appreciation for you and your channel. I’m loving your insights along your journey, unfortunate misstep in a turn, pulling the big gal from the ditch and the famous encounter we all have had with that stick up his ass GS rider……BRILLIANT, just BRILLIANT! Again, thank you for going through the troubles and more importantly, reminding me and maybe a few out there, travel on two wheels isn’t about the destination, or the length of time but more a Control-Alt-Delete of the soul! Frankly, traveling on two wheels is very much needed in life…..along with finding that soul mate made of metal with two wheels and a motor. Thank you sir.🤘🏽😃 Continue to rock.
Stumbled across ur vid by chance. As a 50+ adventurer I completely relate. Who knows what I’ll be able to do tomorrow - so I do it today regardless of stress, weather and everything else that becomes a excuse not to! One life - live it! 🏍️🤙
Both wheels were already over the bank. Once I got my leg out she slid to the bottom. I rode along the ditch a few metres to try and taper out of it but just got wheelspin to a dead stop every time. I struggled for quite a while before I realised I should probably switch the Gopro on and capture the shit time I was having.
@@dirtbikerman1000 maybe like the coat of dust on a bike that was completely covered by a blanket. There's a fair bit of creative editing going on me thinks. Entertaining enough regardless
What an absolutely awesome video. I had an Africa Twin, an RD07 and she took me to places that at the time I'd never have imagined going. I genuinely loved that bike. Get the Warhorse restored buddy, I for one will be watching!
Forgot to mention, I have some parts for the Africa Twin that may help if you do a resto
Please do the Aussie video log on the warhorse. I have the same one there’s only a few here down under. Very cherished bike.
Shame you couldn't come to Wales on your way to London.
Enjoyed this video very much .

You are a legend! Almost as much of a legend as the mighty Africa Twin 💪🏻
I can’t believe this… I have been watching your videos for years and now realise you passed my house in the Netherlands by no more than 2 km… funnily enough it’s at the place where you crashed it 😂
Was wondering if I’d find a Dutchman in the comments 😉Same for me, although I’m not that close to the TET.
mischien vind je wel zijn spullen😂

Ach ik heb maat 48, pas die schoenen toch niet😁Transalp with many mods.

Experiences that no one will ever take away from you, they can't be bought you have to experience and sometimes suffer!!!
Best bike vloger period. Thanks mate, you are a inspiration.

no surprise there..
A one week trip?
@@ArmadilloGodzilla What do you mean? My travels where many over the years covering many places in Europe
Love the old girl ! She will for ever be a beast !
Get your license, get a bike. It will change your life. Two things made me the man I am: Dogs and bikes. Wish you all the best.
Didn’t expect anything less than this magnificent production dear friend!
🤘🏻😉
Oh man, I do hope you continue this series. Pure gold!
OMG, The passion I can feel it! I almost have tears in my eyes, keep it coming Adam...RIDE ON RIDE SAFE (ish) best motorcycle video ever!
Wow what a film! Middle age has arrived! Loved that: “...not today!” and you let the GS in Germany go on! Wonderful film, love the classics in it, including those castles and that lovely bike!
Glorious. Quickest 30 minutes I have for ages . We’ll captured. Look forward to your adventures in Australia 😊
What a ride Adam! Thank you again for taking me along. Your abilities are superb..riding, filming, perspective. Well done mate...
I often watch moto adventure vids. Some got me, some won't. YOU got me straight from the North Cape to London. Stunning! More!
Man! Yeah...that's adventure..no war without scars! Fortunately you're young and strong..thanks man...enjoyed the ride..
Many years later and still my favorite UA-cam channel! Love it man🤙🏼
What I love most about your productions is your great observation and evolving introspection skills. Thanks Adam.
You and the Warhorse are both legends 🤙🤙 and cant wait to see some AUS adventures with you two legends!
The best motorcycling video I've ever watched! Kudos Adam!
Love watching your adventures-and listening to your narration. One of my favorite channels! I appreciate that you can handle yourself in tough situations and find solutions, and that you know your machine so well. Beautiful photography & scenery.
Youre a legend! Thank you for your words, for the videos, and for the pain, you're going through. Cheers!
Class stuff
Good work Adam, a terrific story beautifully filmed. Looking forward to the Warhorse resto and subsequent adventures.
At 16:18 , how beautiful that was. So breathtakingly standing by the sea witnessing the sun at the horizon.
NEVER !
I busted knee tore MCL messd up left rotatory cuff and now I have a Honda and a suszuki
Glued to the screen for this series. My favourite channel on UA-cam. Looking forward to the next one! (Still can’t believe those guys you bumped into wouldn’t ride with you. You wouldn’t have needed to ask me twice! )
By far... The best produced bike vids out there. Thank you so much.
I would not call her a adventure biker- she is a travel vlogger who rides a bike...
Good on ya mate 👍 the old xrv 750 got life in her yet and still keeping up with the motors of today 👍 desert weapon mate 👍
Absolutely brilliant - both videos are superb. Thank you, very inspiring
I'm actually speechless. The way you narrate this and all other adventures. It makes it so peaceful and heartwarming. Everything is on a positive note. I know it doesn't look like this behind the scenes all the time, but still... magic! Thank you!
Bloody big mission mate lookin forward to ya resto on the big girl she’s worth it Adam what a darlin of a thing aye ride safe cheers
ur words in this story are soul wrenching.............u set the context for a lot of things in my life
You are my inspiration sir! Love your films and it motivates me to do more in life. Thanks for such content, Keep inspiring us with your adventures.
Fantastic adventure bike video! One of the best I have ever seen 🙏
Stumbled across ur vid by chance. As a 50+ adventurer I completely relate. Who knows what I’ll be able to do tomorrow - so I do it today regardless of stress, weather and everything else that becomes a excuse not to! One life - live it! 🏍️🤙
Great stuff as usual : ) Why did you push the old lady into the ditch after you crashed :D ??? Let the good times roll!
I did think the same myself but the wheels are not in the video so it has some strength your honour
Beyond reasonable doubt.
Great video btw
@@dirtbikerman1000 maybe like the coat of dust on a bike that was completely covered by a blanket. There's a fair bit of creative editing going on me thinks. Entertaining enough regardless
What an absolutely awesome video. I had an Africa Twin, an RD07 and she took me to places that at the time I'd never have imagined going. I genuinely loved that bike. Get the Warhorse restored buddy, I for one will be watching!
You are the Jeremy Clarkson of motorcycling. Thanks for the ride!😎👍
This series has been fantastic, stunning country side and great to see you appreciating old Africa Twin.
