- 3000km solo from Perth to Alice Springs, I'm discovering why my 1992 Honda XRV750 Africa Twin is known as "The Desert Queen".
Endless dirt roads, remote indigenous communities and hundreds of kilometres of deep sand tracks, my trusty Warhorse and I battle Outback Australia alone in this first chapter of our great expedition.

Adam, you don't even know what kind of struggle I had to suffer while waiting for this documentary. That a legend !
Brother same!
Same! I literally wait for such uploads from Adam. Piece of art.
Worth the wait :)
Same here!!! 👍
Same here too..😊
Saw you in Alice mate. I was having one of those rough days and when I saw you it reminded me of the importance of chasing your dreams and doing what you love. I took two weeks off work and went bush. Came back fully recharged. This is a lesser known effect of what you do through your channel so thanks mate. Keep it up.
The Warhorse sticks out like a sore thumb. You weren't the guy driving a small community bus? Anyway, glad you got out there mate 👍
@@MotologyFilmsyeah that was me. Says a lot that you remember. It might not seem like much but your nonchalant wave that day really lifted me up and for a second I belonged to your journey. Thanks
@@MotologyFilms yeah.. na.. mate ditch the faaarking annoying soundtrack 👎👎.. what's wrong with just voice over your ride & bike sounds
@@Errol.C-nz tell me you know nothing about editing,,
I love the soundtrack a lot...
Suits great for this great journey, by my opinion
Never seen a more confident rider than you. You are definitely the crocodile dundee of motorbikes 😎
Adam seeing a guy on KLR "thats not a bike !"
@@GRUZ_JA 🤣
That's not a bike, that's a spoon
@@dizzydeckdog6688 🤣
That is the most accurate description of Adam I’ve ever heard!
This has been the greatest motorcycle adventure, ever! From your discovery of War Horse, to the rebuilding, and all the riding that has followed with your narration of the journey, this is THE anthem of motorcycling!
Ive always been this way, always creating the journey. It's harder than it looks but I love the film creation, which keeps me motivated to bring these stories to life.
@MotologyFilms your fukn good at it too , watching from NZ , smart man
What an epic journey Adam, good on you mate, I'm getting closer to kitting out my Husky to do some fun rides but I'm not sure I'd do a solo that big yet. Excellent footage, thank you for making these bloody awesome documentaries mate! The War Horse lives on in all her glory. 👍😎👏👏👏🇦🇺🍾🍷
With everyone riding the latest and greatest, it's so refreshing to see such epic adventures on an old trusty steed! True spirit of adventure! I've been waiting for this trip!
Chapter 2 will make you even happier
I can't wait! If the ride wasn't epic enough, you make the filming and editing seem effortless, an absolute pleasure to watch!
@@MotologyFilms wer chapter 2?
You are living the dream for so many of us that are no longer able to ride as we once could. So many of your adventures have left me in tears as this one has. You have no idea how bad I miss throwing a leg over a bike. Thank you from all of us. Keep safe and never stop riding. We live through you now!!!!
Africa Twin самый прекрасный мотоцикл. Владею им 8 лет, и не думаю даже продавать. Надежность его огромна, и в путешествиях по миру, этот конь доставит тебя куда надо
Totally impressed with all the different shots. I know how long they take to set up. Just brilliant!!
When Adam uploads a video you know it will be a masterpiece. Been waiting for the cross country documentary from the day it was announced. Can't wait for second part. Just epic.
A masterpiece indeed, said the same thing when I first stumbled upon one of his earlier episodes
Adam , you are an inspiration mate, i’m 62 and jumped in deep end with a GSA1200 …. absolutely loving the ADV riding and your channel is my go to ! 🙏
Aaaah, the sound of the start up of the AT, with me for most of my adult life, just about every morning.😅Got my first one in 1991 and still have one now.
Wieder mal etwas ganz besonderes
Einfach toll und kurzweilig .
Adam , thats one more perfect Video.
Thanks 4 that great work . Enjoy Ur live
Jeears mate
I have had two Transalp 600... That feeling when you start it up !!!
Way to go , that feeling and expression on your face each morning when she starts…full of hope then pride. It awsome
I’ve started to take that moment myself.
I love your videos! I'm in my early 40s and just got my first ever motorcycle, a KLR 650, and I've been watching your channel nonstop for inspiration, insight and instruction. Thank you so much!!!
What a great start. I'm looking forward to shooting my first ever KLR650 video. I don't know why, but I want to go and buy one
@@MotologyFilms because they’re freaking unbeatable. Even though they’re a single cylinder. Kind of like the war horse, they just have so much history. they have so many people across the world in love with them.
Your videos are so very very inspiring and touch my spirit! The comment of our brains having no room for anxiety while riding is the exact reason many of us find motorcycling to be mentally and emotionally therapeutic!
I'm not only an admirer of yours but I also totally identify with your philosophy around riding. Namely that it's not important to have new toys and expensive big enduros, what matters is to enjoy the adventure and living with yourself and the bike and nature. Experiences that no one will ever take away from you, they can't be bought you have to experience and sometimes suffer!!!
Gasoline sniffing ?? O.M.G.. never heard of that before , god help them ! AWESOME Trip Mate !! Wow ! my hat is off to you big time !! amazing trip and amazing job of video/taking us with you !! Thank You......... the outdoors does the same thing to you as me , or at least you have the same reverence for it as i feel when im in it , i love it id rather be alone even just a few dozen miles from home than on the other side of the planet in a 4star hotel !! i ride alone and the more remote the better but ive never been as remote as the Aussy outback not even close , my kids and wife dont like me doing so anymore but i feel good doing so still am hopeful i can continue to for years to come , again thanks for sharing your journey with us !!
Just because of you me and my brother and father are going to tour the whole Africa thank you so much
Had trouble mounting the pavement today but I was determined not to let that best me. Tomorrow I'll attempt a 6 point turn but I always end up pointing the wrong way. Don't want to look daft so will ride 10 miles out of my way so I don't have to lose face.
We've fabulous off road tracks in England, mostly over neighborhood lawns. Who cares! Grass grows back eventually and 10 months inside shows you just how fast grass recovers.
Not jealous at all of your adventures and in awe of your skills. If you ever need a 72 year old to keep you on your toes just let me know. Wild camping is my thing. If you rub your knees together fast enough you can ignite kindling. Just one of my tips. If you drink 2 litres of whisky per night you can't give a bollocks, so all's well. Keep posting and I'll keep learning and dreaming.
Lots of love and admiration.
Brilliant lol
Just the most uplifting videos on UA-cam. Full stop.
Man.. This was so motivating to watch! 🤙
Bob and Marge apparently didn't realize they were in the presence of the Queen of the Desert.. They should've pulled over..
Motorcrossed 40 years ago. Saw your BMW Safari Vids from 2013/14, which caused me to get back on the bikes, do a BM Safari in 2015 and now on my 2nd GS Adventure. Need to get out there again after seeing this video. Your BM Safari Vids were the best by a very long shot and miss your very professional videos compared to most out there. Cheers, Merv
This the best channel on UA-cam. Chaos of life, just get away for a few. Your exactly in the right place at the right time. What a legend this man is.
Nice! Went from Perth to Alice on 3 camels, no external support. Slow but sure. Beautiful country.
At 32:17, old mate does not always have the right words, but when he does, it's remarkable. Cheers
hey Adam, glad to see you living the dream. "if there is nothing to freak out about then dont freak out" Man you are a legend. Awsome film looking forward to the next part. Keep sending it and stay strong brother!
So many poignant things said
"This is the most dangerous thing I do, but it's also the healthiest thing I do"
"...good feeling living independently on the motorcycle...seeing where the day takes you..."
"...spooked my mind. Just got to relax. Accept where I am"
I know exactly what your talking about. No doubt being out there where you were, so remote, all alone, on an older bike, sandy road, it must've been a real tough one. Well done sir
Yes,Yes,Yes🙏 This is just legend, you are legend. Cannot wait until the next episode
You are living my dream and that goes for everything else I watched on UA-cam. Time to stop living other people’s experiences and make some of my own. Thanks for the inspiration.
I just finished a 12-day solo motorcycle tour of northern Japan in the torrential rain, crazy winds, and blistering heat. Where do I start? The filming is excellent! The storytelling is awesome! The editing skills are amazing. Your riding skill is supreme. But for me, your insights into what it is to be a rider out on the road alone are perfect!--You are an epic filmmaker and storyteller. Thanks! I can't wait for the next video.
What's Japan like for motorcycle exploration? It doesn't really come up much, most Asian moto adventures seem to focus on Vietnam or Indonesia.
Thanks mate. I'm very curious to ride Japan one day ...
The touring on the island of Hokkaido is fantastic. The roads are well-kept and the campgrounds are well maintained. There are many campgrounds that are free but also some other high-end places. There are a lot of places to stay for whatever type of lodging you prefer, tents, cottages, or inns. There are hot springs spread throughout the island so it is easy to keep clean and hygienic. The scenery is very dynamic and diverse whether on the coasts or inland. The food is fresh and reasonably priced. There are a lot of roadside stations(Michi no Eki, local farmers sell their goods) spread over the island where you can get fresh produce on a daily basis. Of course, convenience stores and gas stations are readily accessible. The wildlife is abundant especially as you move to the more rural areas. The only thing a biker must be concerned with is the deer just before dark as they wander onto the roads. The people are welcoming and nice and it is super safe. It is a biker's paradise.
He could not possibly film all of this alone. He had a cameraman at the least and most probably a support vehicle.
These presentations are exceptional. But let me ask: is this the first time the legendary Australian rider has used a didgeridoo in his film? I don’t recall any before and I love it!
In the modern era, it's reasonably common to see a rider given promotional access to some new ADV machine and taking it on a sort of decent ride and describing it in their preferred way. But Adam, he buys an ancient machine out of a barn, literally half a world away, rides and ships it home, refurbishes it himself, and takes that bike on an adventure so extreme and remote, most of us cannot fathom anything close. All while filming and editing a gorgeous presentation. It is not exaggeration to say this is the stuff of legends.
That super enduro clip was banging, loved the music and edit 👏
man and his bike a story shared by all around the world , once again showing how amazing our country is , Proud Aussie following a legend of 2 wheels
That 1st 3 minutes should be the prelude to every one of your vids. Even stretch it out to the " goblet of red" .
You give people like me hope. A truly wonderful gift.
Me and my mate bought 2 transalps and are now fixing them up ourselfs to go on a nice trip. Thanks for inspiring this adventure
yeeha......been waiting and waiting.... absolute legend, you and the war horse "Queen of the Desert". excellent doc again A Reimann. keep it up and keep riding safe. from Cyprus all the best.
➡️ Bob and Marge really go to great lengths.
To go out to the remote outback.
To throw the leg over and exercise the option. How romantic 🥰😘
go bob
Good people recognise good people. That did it for me. Thank you for your content. And a shout out to Steve 🎉
Adam, you're a legend, thank you
FINALLY🎉 The wait for this has been almost unbearable. Like a kid waiting for Christmas Eve. Totally worth it! Epic footage and storytelling. Thank you!!
This is the 3rd time I've started watching this series, from the release till now
Keep the adventures coming adam, lovely stuff
Said it before and say it again, Legend and one of…if not the best UA-camrs of ALL time. I Adore your films and get so much inspiration, thank you. 🍷 🍻
😂😂😂😂😂😂 "It's the brother's". Love it. makes me want to go for a ride.
Adam.. thank you again for another outstanding episode!! Such fluent commentary, brilliant editing it seriously brings a bloody lump to my throat!! I’m 64 and bought a gsa rallye 2 yrs ago after yrs and yrs of cruisers! So with arthritic shoulders each time I straddle my young Philly (young compared to your legend) your words echo through my mind and I’m so envious of your adventures, may the gods bless your journeys and keep you from harm and I shall always look ahead to the next. You are an inspiration 🙏
one of the MOST underrated channels and videography and videos of all internet ...much much love and thank you for taking us with you to these great adventures
Beautifully filmed and narrated - just back from Tasmania to WA on my CRF1000 - what a trip and looking hard for an RD07 to fall in love with. Thanks for the inspirational films.
Find an RD04 !!!
Hard to find but would love one.@@manuel3310mv-rm7vd
“Mothers milk for the warhorse”.👍Ride safe my friend. Excellent video ✊️👊✊️👊. Cheers from 🇺🇸
What a wake up alarm for Bob & Marge, I wouldn't complain. Love the note of the Warhorse. Always wanted to record my old Nissan Safari, used to roll down the front left window by the snorkel to listen to it at the lights.
Epic storytelling coupled with awesome videography and skilful riding....with a solid sprinkling of "keeping it real" Aussie charm. What a recipe!
What a top film of a top ride, One of the best channels related to bikes on UA-cam.
Love your work.
Your travelling videos are just the best therapy for us caught in the treadmill🙌😊
Idk how but your uploads are not just normal uploads for us anymore. It's a piece of art Adam. Just love it.
Thanks mate 👍
Some of these videos you produce are actually works of art Adam and I really think that, I sometimes find myself weeping while I live the adventure with you without really knowing why..
Well, I can’t think of a single person who delivers these videos quality. If she’s the queen of the desert she must be thrilled…she just met the king of motovlogging! What a beast of a duo!! Cheers from Portugal 💪
That was awesome! Really cool to see the Himalayan Hero & Motonomad clips at the intro, such amazing films. Nice work capturing the adventure, cheers! 🤘
epic amount of riding. I envy all your bike knowledge/skill so that you can do this long journey on the warhorse in the outback
"...on the path, deep into the nothing." Enjoying it, AR!
Kopfhörer auf und mit entfliehen, vom Alltag in die Australische Wildnis, großartig. Grüße aus Deutschland ❤
Many years ago i went on a trip from Melbourne to Crains, which lasted 6 months and made me realise how massive and crazy Australia is. I can barely imagine how must feel to do it on a bike through the middle of it.
I've being riding for over 15 years and grew up on a scooter but I'm really envious of anyone who has great off road skills.
Great videos Adams. Keep them coming.
Dude you're a legend,
The sheer gonads it takes to do this ride.
No support vehicle nothing just solo wow it's just amazing.
I'll be ready for part two.
Many thanks for the films with the war horse! so inspiring and beautiful.
Sincerely, Henrik Wikström
Sweden
"And that was that place. Time to give Bob and Marj the wake up." Loved it! 🤣 Loving this epic adventure! Looking forward to the next part.
Ahh yes, another wonderful day of riding to finish it off with a video from my favorite vlogger. Cheers from Wisconsin Cheif!
ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. filmed & narrated with perfection. The Warhorse journey from Norway to Australia. What a bike. can't wait for part 2
This is absolutely brilliant. Thanks, Adam, for the opportunity to follow you on your adventures through your movies. I can't wait for the next part. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
This type of content is awesome. No BS, no fairy tales! Always put's so called 'RTW' riders to shame. Showing the world how it's done and not being afraid that 'someone' will steal you're secrets of the trade only shows how confident you are and nothing matters because even if so, sat at home comfy without going out there and doing it will never get you anywhere. Good on you! Just awesome! 😀
Mate!!! your production value from vid to vid just keeps getting better and better!! solid quality!! thank you for all you do.
It’s like Motonomad IV: The Warhorse…Honda might need to rename it the XRV 750 ‘Outback’ Twin…sensational AR thanks mate 🤙🏻🤙🏻
🤣 hoooollllarroiiuuussss
The same worm drive for the tach failed on my 97 Transalp during my moto trip as well.
I had to use my GPS for a week until I received the new part 🛵😅
I love the tractor and pump sounds... Same as mein, hahahaha
I had a warhorse and like an idiot, sold it. Every time you've been uploading warhorse vids, I've been thinking back to that bike.
They're super expensive now so I went out and got myself a super tenere from 1993. I'm already in love.
Oh man, that was epic. I felt like I was there. Bloody brilliant
Happy for you, warhorses, Bob & Marge!
Awesome! Fark I missed my AT… took me everywhere and loved riding it. That start up noise at 10:53 brings back a lot of memories👍
Australia was my home for almost 10 years in the late 80th and 90th. At this time I travelled by 4x4 for six years across the entire county. After returning back to Europe I never thought about visiting Australia again. Your videos make me miss the country, miss the adventure in Australia. I should come back and explore by motorbike. Thank you for your inspiration
listening to the war horse power plant is music to my ears. such a good time Adam
Gotta say Adam, these short films are second to none. So good! Keep up the great work!
Felt like a biopic of you and your bike in the wilderness!
Love those movie cinematics.
Have been looking forward to this one for a whileeeeee
This came up on auto play. Didn’t know it was you until I saw the war horse. I immediately noticed the volume was louder than normal. It’s perfect. Thank you so much!
Bravo!! The Best yet! What an artist, riding Icon, on your War Horse ripping thru the wasteland....LOVE this..
Your 2-wheel adventures inspired me to pickup a used ADV. My own Warhorse to forge my own adventures off the pavement. Cheers to Motology films. Thank you. ❤
Just incredible, can't find the words.....
Bloody brilliance right there.
Make we want to head I fit he outback again.
Doesn’t sugarcoat some of the concerns out there
Best half an hour of YT I’ve seen in a long time.
Can’t wait for part 2
🙏
this is the stuff of dreams! i know for a fact i couldnt do what you did.... my body would give out... but damn its impressive and i absolutely love how you say "war horse" she's the best good old girl!
Beautiful adventure Adam, enjoying absolutely the life, a great example of adventure soul, thanks for share your moments.
Love his skill! 👌 Shout-out from the Philippines 🇵🇭
My biggest inspiration you are Adam….watching you from the Himalayas….gave me courage to do solo cross country…. My salute 🎉🎉🎉
Absolutely brilliant, can't wait for the next leg. Cheers.
You can't beat the sound of the Warhorse on song, pure pleasure
Awesome journey! Thanks for taking us along!👍🏻🇺🇸
Your narration and voice is my drugs sir .... I love I voiceovers... thank You for making our life beautiful
Your smile at 4:54 ... thx for taking us with you on the ride through this fascinating country. Cheers from Germany.
Excellent filmmaking, excellent storytelling, and boy, what an adventure! Thanks for taking us on board, Günter/Nürnberg, Germany
This is the real adventure! XRV750❤
I don't comment on stuff much on UA-cam but everything about this was pure gold!
The type of trip I can only dream of ever doing. I live vicariously through your adventures Adam. That bike has made you more famous than you already were, and the fact it’s not something you’ve just wheeled off the showroom floor and have thrown the parts catalogue at is the real adventure. Safe travels 🤙 I’m waiting impatiently for the next video!!!
What an amazing experience. Epic is overused as a word, but....epic, just epic.
what a beautiful and inspiring channel. Thank you so much for these videos!
Glad to see u back on the ole warhorse, I enjoy your videos as always, I enjoy your commentary along the way, your country is incredible and only wish our country was like yours, me and my buddy just got back from our annual trip out west, we to are about remoteness but very hard to find, thank you much for sharing, means a lot to us here in the states. Robert from Al.
EPIC, absolutely EPIC, thank you Adam........
