Truly inspirational riding sir. Quite the accomplishment. I bought a T7 6 weeks ago and am truly impressed with the bike. A video on the mods to your T7 as well as riding tips vs a traditional trail bike would help us mortals new to the transition to larger/ heavier adventure bikes. One of My other bikes is a 2024 KTM 450 xcf-w, I love it for technical trail and desert but find it not adequate for longer tarmac sections above 65mph or so. Only real complaint so far wit the T7 is picking the big girl up in the Ice/ snow- not a 450!!!! Thank you.

We definitely don't have the same definition and meaning of the word trail😲 That's a trial bike playground! That was one of the craziest ride I have seeing on a T7!!
@@beborodner930 absolutely not. The T7 clutch is extremely well built and lubricated. Even on my last T7 that had triple the mileage on it never burned out a clutch. Or overheated for that matter of fact. The t7 bikes are really good for technical adventure bike riding stuff. For comparison sakes, my KTM 790 and 890 bikes would go through clutches every 1000 to 3000 miles in dual sport type riding with occasional single track. I wouldn't go on a single trip without a spare clutch or two as back up. And out of my four different Ktm ADV bikes, three out of four of them needed a new motor rebuilt before 10,000 miles. Between Cam's going bad and poor air intake design letting dirt get through, there was a constant battle to keep those things running. And on top of that, one simple tip over wrong would break the sensors in that bike and leave me immobilized stranded in the middle of nowhere. Don't get me wrong, I love my Ktm dirt bikes to death, but they're ADV bikes are my least favorite ADV bikes for a reason, even though I love Ktm as a company whole overall.

My first try on this trail was mid September after going on a 20 mile loop of a wrong turn. It’s tough in a couple spots sure but I’m not sure it’s the most difficult thing I’ve ridden. Most clips come from the first 3 miles or so and that seems to be the most difficult section. We’ll be going back to try again soon. We completed the first 2-3 miles to the bail out and didn’t want to push further on empty camel backs. It’s tough but if you have minimal experience it’s doable with time and patience.

@@brentswartzentruber5565 oh I love it to death. I hate the dual rotors. Too much unnecessary unsprung weight. I first removed a rotor and ran the stock master brake cylinder, And it works decent, but you didn't have super strong breaking power, because the stock master brake cylinder was designed for two rotors. I then replaced the rubber brake line with a steel braided one, and then put on a YZ 450 master cylinder, and kept the OEM brake caliper. And with all that combine breaking power is phenomenal and it works extremely well. It works very good for street and dirt. I'm sure there's a benefit to having dual rotors for street riding when you're going down a super long hill with a bunch of weight and passengers so your brakes don't overheat, but I'm never in that situation so I don't gotta worry about that Remove a rotor doesn't sound like a massive weight reduction, but I find it makes quite a big difference with the unsprung weight. I think it's a very wealth good upgrade. And you can basically do it for free on this bike with using the stock brake master cylinder. But if you wanna spend some money and make it better, get a used YZ 450 brake cylinder in a cheap you still braided brake line. I use one off of my KTM 300 XCW Dirt Bike. Very cheap upgrade and phenomenal

@@evr-mr3cp I like our fxxk rides we do :) and thank you!
Amazing skills! I'm assuming the clutch was toast after this?

@@HinspectorGournal and enough water!
That's what I'm saying in the video, it's really not that crazy hard, but it's really hard to complete the full thing for a lot of people. Most people take bail outs for being exhausted or out of water

Great ride. What are your thoughts on the single front disk? Much of a difference in stopping power on the street?
@@brentswartzentruber5565 oh I love it to death. I hate the dual rotors. Too much unnecessary unsprung weight.
I first removed a rotor and ran the stock master brake cylinder, And it works decent, but you didn't have super strong breaking power, because the stock master brake cylinder was designed for two rotors. I then replaced the rubber brake line with a steel braided one, and then put on a YZ 450 master cylinder, and kept the OEM brake caliper. And with all that combine breaking power is phenomenal and it works extremely well. It works very good for street and dirt.
I'm sure there's a benefit to having dual rotors for street riding when you're going down a super long hill with a bunch of weight and passengers so your brakes don't overheat, but I'm never in that situation so I don't gotta worry about that
Remove a rotor doesn't sound like a massive weight reduction, but I find it makes quite a big difference with the unsprung weight.
@RTRrentals Thanks for the reply and details. I feel the same about the unsprung weight and had the same idea. I have the Aprilia Tuareg 660, and already replaced the stock OEM front wheel for a better one. Now for the single rotor 👍
@@brentswartzentruber5565 hows that aprillia? I hear nothing but amazing things about it
@@RTRrentals I don't have a lot to compare it to, but I love it. Test rode my buddy's 890R and I rode a GS to Alaska, but otherwise all my experience is on dirtbikes. I'm only 5'8" / 150lbs (and old) so the low-ish seat height and lower center of gravity sold me. I'm pretty inspired by the challenge of riding it off-road. Nothing like what you are doing, but I'd like to ride Lathrop Cyn level stuff. Right now I'm at White Rim level. I rode it down Baja and the sand worked me pretty good, so I need lots of practice in deep sand.
