The amount of excitement generated by an ARiemann1 notification is out of this world. Love the series about the War Horse. So much to learn, from your presentation, inspiration and just the love of adventure and motorcycles. Thank you
Your Warhorse series is literally some of the best motorcycle content available today. You have mastered the spirit of the Adv bike with that Africa Twin. Thank you!
I’m soooo happy for you mate!!! What a legend of a story you’re writing everyday you spend with that bike. Your daughters will tell this tale to their kids one day. 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽 BRAVO!!
So happy to watch your excitement grow as the bike went through the inspections. Most Aussie part of the video has to be when you compliment the welder and he replies “and that’s after two beers!” - lol, that’s awesome. Congrats on the bike, great story 👍🏻
Oh my dear Lord! This series has made me feel like I haven't in a long time... A KID!! This is my favorite motorcycle model ever made, and seeing one being so well restored and treated such as yours, made me tear up a bit.
Love to see you being mad about your Africa Twin! 😍👍 That's what I did to my Cagiva Elefant 900 i.e. Lucky Explorer. Now 32 Years young! Rebuilt with 18/21 Excel Rims, Powder coated Frame and so on. It's a Dakar Winner too and one of about 1000. I love ridibg it due to the 900 ccm Ducati Engin. I will never give it away. Always a safe ride and maximum fun with your Africa Twin! 🍀🙏🍀
I absolutely hang on every Fram. I have a love affair with a 1999 klr 650. I bought out of a barn. I call her my y2k The Boss. Watching you breathe life back into the war horse has hit a soft spot in probably anyone who has had the joy of finding that old girl that time forgot. Great stuff Adam.
I love that old skool adventure bikes are becoming popular again so guys like you are producing content like this. Old bikes have heart and soul - something the new bikes don’t.
There’s [almost] nothing like the feeling when you know you’ve found ‘the One’, that motorcycle which’ll be in you life forever. Lovin these Warhorse vids Reemo, looking forward to the next instalment!
Your journey with the Warhorse reminds me of the thrill I get from riding......47 years now for me. I have followed your video series on this bike and it's grand mate! Thank you Adam for your knowledge, your enthusiasm, your no bull sense, and your channel and videos. I have learned much from you and not just about riding or bikes, but also about life and going for it. If I may..." I could probably wait around for the conditions to be perfect, but who really has the luxury of time. Just going to take the opportunity I've got and go for it" Your words strike me in the most powerful way Adam.
Awesome! I'm hooked to this series about the Warhorse since the beginning. I feel the passion and dedication you have for this bike. Just a wonderful story you share with us all! Thanks mate!
I'm all here for the old "Lady", the Africa Twin. There are so many channels with all these new bikes KTM's, teneres, GS's... Very nice to see how this story starts to grow even better and better. Million thanks so far for very informative videos, how to strap a bike to a tree, how to pack properly (basically only a rum and another pair of undies). Love you, hugs from Finland 🫂
I had one in the late 90s I used for a trip from London to south of Morocco 1997, it was a blast, the best bike ever, not a single problem......you just brought me back some years ago...cheers Adam
These videos capturing the feelings us bike nuts have towards old machines that we share such great memories with are the best videos on the internet. When a bike has such a story and connection with its owner then it becomes part of the family.
I love these old machines and your genuine excitement and enthusiasm for it makes me smile. I can't wait for this series on the old War Horses restoration and the adventures you get up to on her.
watching Adam restore that old Honda Africa Twin, aka "the warhorse", was truly inspiring! It's amazing to see how beautifully she showcases what's necessary on a motorcycle and what's not. This bike was probably standing for such a long time and watching it come back to life is truly exciting. The attention to detail and dedication to the restoration process is evident in every step he takes to scrub the years off her back. It's truly a work of art and a testament to the timeless durability of these machines. Cheers Mate, thanks for the movies about her!
Adam, you are simply brilliant. Back to basic, old bike are worth saving. It is not only about electronic and performance but simplicity and efficiency. Good work Mate
It’s really good to see warhorse again, I have soft spot for these types of early adventure bikes, my first was a 1985 DR600 which I totally rebuilt it the early 90’s which I used as a daily through the week went camping on the weekends, until I discovered how the internals of a Honda XR 600 were built with roller bearings on the cam shaft. Then I changed camps. Now after having a 2014 660 Tenere for 12 months, which after 10 yrs of owning a LC4 400 previous. I sold the Tenere & chase down the 07 ktm 640 adventure interstate,so far after pulling it down & going through it I’ve address everything that was needed, my plain is to do the cape unsupported in September from blue mountains nsw. Thank you for sharing your story it’s great to watch & inspirational 👍👍👍
Sooner or later every single true bike traveller will have foud and subscribed to your channel. Everything about your videos is spot on. The editing, the tips, the roads you choose, your riding abilities, it's just glorious to be able to watch you in your endeavours. And your Motto, that it's about the memories you make with some bikes being the most valuable thing is so so true.
longtime fan here. the Africa Twin content is my favorite so far. Seeing you ride an older bike that you are so clearly passionate about takes it to the next level. Cant wait to see the old Warhorse absolutely ripping through the outback!!
WOW: what a totally channel amazing channel… Just followed the whole War Horse story and we have everything. Motorcyles, Adventure, Passion, Mental health & wellness, & restoration. Everything I love about bikes and the people associated in one story. This is almost the UA-cam version and “Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance” but a version ordinary folk like me can actually understand. Subscribed.
Still the goat of u tube. I grew up reading dads adb mags. I blame adb and power boat, magazines for never being interested in school. So good having a real life, modern day adb on TV.
I just came back here after 4 days to check is there are new video about the warhorse. Damn, can’t wait. These series is pure masterpiece. The connection between a man and a motorcycle…
Yeah that's just super cool, the whole warhorse story fills me with hope and joy. Can't wait to see the resurrection of this beautifully designed Japanese motorcycle. Well done mate.
Like everyone else has implied it’s a treat to be able to follow along and witness this whole tale. And the cast (Adam and the warhorse) could not be better. Enjoy! 🏍️💨
Hi Adam, this story just keeps getting better and better. I was so happy to see how smoothly the ADR and registration process actually went. The new pipe looks and sounds awesome. Looking forward to the next episode!! Keep up the great work.
Big time respect for you mate, the fact that you bought this old one and not a new model even you could effort it says a lot about you in the positive sense. I drive a Yamaha XTZ750 myself (brother of this bike) and no modern bike can replace the sensation of driving such a bike. Greetings from the Netherlands
Go the war horse, My friends do not understand how I can fall in love with a machine. Its the sense of doing things and going through adventures together and a feeling of accomplishment as well an understanding of what that machine has helped you achieve. Love it cant wait for the resto videos
That bike sounded unreal with the new pipe! Really cool to hear some background on the original adventures as well, it’s an epic story. Stoked that the adventure continues, looking forward to what’s ahead! 🤘
I love old Trans Alps & Africa Twins. Don't care what anybody says but the newer parallel twins will NEVER have the character of the Old V-Twin Hondas. Love it Adam! 🇺🇲 🇦🇺
Love the warhorse! So excited to see the restoration. As an owner of an 89 super tenere, there’s something bloody special about these classic adventure bikes that can’t be beat.
Importing anything is such a pain, glad it’s sorted. Your first warhorse video inspired me to get my AT and go. Can’t wait to see the restoration videos!
I got sold to your drift the moment you said "I am not selling her for life...", that's it. That's what i feel should be the relation with bikes, not the use and throw types that most 'Adventure Riders' follow these days. Great one ARiemann1, we are so looking forward to your rides and adventures with the War Horse. Love from India
Love your work Adam! The intermixed content on the War Horse, your riding tips, Tenere build and travels keeps the channel fresh and me eagerly awaiting the next episode. Good stuff!
what a superb sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My Afrikatwin of 1998 sounds also very deep with the standard muffler. I love my bike. Honda created with the Afrikatwins one of the best, goodlooking and most reliabel bikes ever. Greetings from Belgium
Lol. Love it. Passes rego and ADR approval process. Within 15 minutes, rips the stock muffler off and puts a slip on on the thing. Welcome to 'straya warhorse. Top video mate, keep em coming!
Hey mate. Inspiring stuff! I have a Transalp from the same year as the Warhorse and i have to say it is the same feeling... Never gonna sell it! Always starts at first try and smooth as silk with just enough power. So, as yourself, decided to turn it into a 2023 machine with a complete rebuild with everything she wants and needs. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the off-road technics. It helped a lot! Keep it up! Cheers from Portugal.
YEAH MAN! Love the bark, looking forward with much excitement to the sound under load!! The difference a pipe makes in the pleasure factor is HUGE, I've never left a bike stock. loving this series and the instructional vids are super!!
Excellent storytelling, Adam! Hope the old Warhorse will deliver the Aussie outback adventure you're planning. It's quite exiting to see you engage in this 30 year old AT. The heritage of this XRV750 RD04 animal being a development mainly for the European market, you've got a specimen that will be envied down under once restoration is finished. The Akrapovic adaption was awesome and you most definitely make them proud! Looking forward to devour your planned outback adventures and YT episodes to come. Greetings from Norway and best of luck to you and your Warhorse project! 🙂
I did the same on my 1995 African twin. I took it all apart and put it back together correcting all age problems. It's a good bike. You have to use a reinforced tire and inner tube due to its weight.
Look forward to each chapter of the Warhorse's new life in Australia. My old girl is a hand me down from a family member 1978 Honda Transalp 650 cc. "Africa Twin" Slowly putting her together again, just a pain to try and hunt down parts. All good, I enjoy a challenge. All the best, stay safe, Joe.
I used Bikes Abroad London/Melbourne, it was great. Brought my big KTM down. It arrived with a little tear in the seat, like 8mm. They reviewed the security video in London and sure enough a carton had fallen on it during the night. They insisted on using their insurance to replace the seat, around $800 Aussie for powerpart seat. Excellent service, very safe transport and reasonable pricing.
Love it! Brilliant Adam, can’t help but fall in love with the old gal. Kudos on your choice to go the honest, authentic route and give a new home, a new life to a fantastic old machine. 🫶🏽🤘🏽👍🏽
Still winter here in Sweden but knowing that the war horse will be restored and kitted for new adventures makes it a lot easier. I want to see more pissing in the radiator. 😍
The motorcycle I've put the most miles on and gotten the best smiles out of was an 88 Honda Hawk gt. The Africa twin 750 was built off of the Hawk's 650, hearing the Warhorse brings back a lot of memories. I just found your channel so I'll have to look back at what you've done with her so far.
When I had to change my brake fluid or bleed my brakes on my Piper supercub, we always pushed the hydraulic fluid from brake end, toward the master cylinder. This helped to purge tiny bubbles in the master cylinder and tubing so the brakes didn't feel spongy.
What an awesome effort to keep such a great bike on the road...in your country. Cheers!! I love the old Yamaha TT250R's and worked hard to get an Australian street legal (dual sport) model insured, licensed, and inspected in the USA.
Love how you take care of this baby. I have 1984 Honda in its original condition. I totally get that phurrrr sound. Love from Pakistan. Stay blessed and keep doing it brother.
I've owned two of these some time ago. Never quite found something I fell in love with as much. Take all it's abilities, it's not the best at anything. But it will do anything you ask it to! I want one again, before they go extinct!
I've had one my self and its just a complete package for travels! Travled two-up all over Europe on everything from single-track to highway and it just does it all! Be weary of the fuel pump as the points wear out. If you can solder, just keep a spare set of points instead of whole pump. Looking forward to more AT content :-) It makes me want to own one again ;-)
Love the old war horse. I had an RD04 30 years ago, brilliant bike! I put 30k miles on it riding around Europe. I'm now cruising classic bike ads to try and buy another one! Well done on getting it into Australia.
Love it showing you passing ADR sound test then adding that sweet Akra in the same video. 😂 Loving this series, I ride a 91 Super Tenere and it always steals the limelight amongst the lineup of modern bikes wherever it goes. Gotta keep the old girls on (and off) the road.
There really is a place for old bikes. Not stupid old, just sweet spot old. I like my R100GS but the Honda's good too. Will be following along with the appropriate amount of excitement.
Brilliant Adam , a joy to watch you and the warhorse , all the best with restoring the old twin to a work of art, well done , all the best and have a good rum when your done 👍
I had a 98 vfr 800 and I put a Wileyco exhaust on it , the gear driven cams and the note was unique, it came in at 110db, once ridden never forgotten, my name for it was the mighty one after the movie Spanish motorcycle diaries. I did 180 thousand hard ks on it before selling it. Currently own an 18 harley fatbob called mightyone mk2. Once owning a v motor it's hard to ride anything else. Love you're channel

Man, your words on point, I can hear my heart beat and bike smile on my face!
When Adam posts a video about the Warhorse, a dreary winter day immediately gets better! Thank you!
I’m soooo happy for you mate!!! What a legend of a story you’re writing everyday you spend with that bike. Your daughters will tell this tale to their kids one day. 👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽 BRAVO!!

YES!!!! This sparks the soul and fuels up the drive to get out and just enjoy the ride again!
The story of a man who is in love with his bike. Enjoy sir, much respect. Can’t wait for the next video.

That new exhaust sounds so much better, a proper growl! Looking forward to the next Warhorse video.
I love that old skool adventure bikes are becoming popular again so guys like you are producing content like this. Old bikes have heart and soul - something the new bikes don’t.
absolutely correct 👍
I have a 2019 Africa Twin and that makes The War Horse series of videos even sweeter for me. I absolutely love this whole story. 👌
hats off, that's just my favorite series on the UA-cam and that old timeless beast has the soul that a bike should have.
There’s [almost] nothing like the feeling when you know you’ve found ‘the One’, that motorcycle which’ll be in you life forever. Lovin these Warhorse vids Reemo, looking forward to the next instalment!

Incredibly inspiring! You are an amazing story teller.
I've owned a 97 model myself. I still miss it today. Seeing this video makes me smile like a small kid. Well done on making her legal in Australia.
Awesome day for you and the Warhorse! Thanks for bringing us along on her Aussie citizenship.

Ah the fun and enjoyment oh finding and using something special, then getting it just the way you want. So satisfying!
Amazing. Driving a Warhorse named "Tornado" for the past 235 000 Km`s my self and could not agree more with how you feel about this good old warrior!
This is my new favorite UA-cam series! Love the story of the Warhorse.

Go the war horse, My friends do not understand how I can fall in love with a machine. Its the sense of doing things and going through adventures together and a feeling of accomplishment as well an understanding of what that machine has helped you achieve.
Love it cant wait for the resto videos
Congratulations and respect for getting the warhorse Aussie Legal. Now you can ride without worry!
Can't wait to see the restoration! Love the older 90's model bikes!
That bike sounded unreal with the new pipe! Really cool to hear some background on the original adventures as well, it’s an epic story. Stoked that the adventure continues, looking forward to what’s ahead! 🤘
Avid fan from the Philippines here! Inspired by the work and boost bigtime my love for the bikes and nature! Thanks Motology!
Last couple of minutes of the video was more on how man can be attached to his machine emotionally, lovely and best wishes with the restoration 💪
Oh my goodness. I miss my Twin. I have had all kinds of big duels. She was my favorite by a fair margin.
The! Noise! What an exhaust note.
Looking forward to the refurbishing series of the old girl.
love what you said, " This is to privilaged, Im going to restore faith to the people and buy a second hand bike". Very cool!
It's awesome when you make an emotional connection with a machine ... that bike deserves an owner like yourself
Wow, just lovet it! You really give warhorse the love she deserves.
You’re a great storyteller and warhorse gets a well-deserved new owner down south (and what sound!)
Good stuff!
Ive been a casual follower for a while now but as an avid XR lover I'm hooked on this journey. its really reigniting my passion to restore my 94 XR600
Oh wow it’s awesome to hear you speak of that bike with so much love!
what a superb sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
🙂
And that video is most probably the most authentic real life no bullshit video on UA-cam. I repeatedly watch it and hope to do something similar. Ty
That's great. Looking forward to some restoration videos..I love the old 80s and 90s dualsport/abv bikes
I’m there with you man. So nice to see another bike saved. Can’t wait for you to ride your precious warhorse out in the out back!
"Warhorse" crazy how a word can become a legend, can become only one motorcycle....synonymous that name! When I read it I will ALWAYS follow!
Can’t wait to see the restoration
I absolutely love the story telling and would love to see that even an old bike can beat many new ones
Beautiful sound of the AKRA in the Africa Twin , thanks Airemann!!
You're the reason I've started looking into old Africa Twins with literally no experience of motorcycles at all. I'll learn on and with it.

Excellent and riveting (!) story! The man knows and appreciates his motor. Really enjoyed your travels. Well done!
What an awesome effort to keep such a great bike on the road...in your country. Cheers!! I love the old Yamaha TT250R's and worked hard to get an Australian street legal (dual sport) model insured, licensed, and inspected in the USA.
I’m pumped to watch the restoration as well I hope you share it !!!
Love how you take care of this baby.
I have 1984 Honda in its original condition. I totally get that phurrrr sound.
Love from Pakistan.
Stay blessed and keep doing it brother.
Go on man! Get the Warhorse ready. Can't wait to see the build video. It deserves a proper one.
I've owned two of these some time ago.
Never quite found something I fell in love with as much.
Take all it's abilities, it's not the best at anything.
But it will do anything you ask it to!
I want one again, before they go extinct!
This is great. Looking fwd to watching this series and going on the journey with you. Exhaust looks and sounds so nice!
Oh yes! Cannot wait for more of the War Horse
It feels like I'm in part of your life and owning warhorse , I always feels excitement watching Warhorse , waiting for more video and new Warhorse.
True inspiration to see the Ol girl get new life.
I rarely get exited anymore when a new video hits with al this content everywhere. But damn this hits every time! Can't wait for more🔥
Wow it’s a lot more straightforward than I thought! Thanks for filming this video mate, especially in response to my last question on the last video.
Brilliant Adam , a joy to watch you and the warhorse , all the best with restoring the old twin to a work of art, well done , all the best and have a good rum when your done 👍
Love the fact that the first thing you did after the inspection is mod the exhaust.
