- THE MUD THE BAD & THE BUGATTI oh and a 6X6 Landrover
I have a short lived drive of the D9 today as I attempt to deal with the terrible mud situation. We also pop over to see a friend and help get a 6 wheel drive landrover running and driving. - Розваги
Loving the content. Never know what's in each video, history says its tank related. But then you surprise us with D9 landscaping, worlds worst and noisiest digger, the beautiful Bugatti and then a 6x6 series 2 Landy. Its what makes this channel so interesting. Thank you. I've seen 6 x 6 Range Rover Fire engines when I was in the Navy at RNAS Culdrose in Cornwall but never a series 2.
Used those TACR 2 in the RAF , most at RAF Wittering ......Home of the Harrier . Well was that is .
For all forigners wondering, yes, everyone in UK has at least one retired jet aircraft, an old APC and a broken down land rover hiding in the brambles round the back of the farm, it is the law.
I was wondering that!
Next time before I comment it would do me well to scroll through first, Lol.
Keep them ear defenders on Mr.Hewes, my hearing is damaged. Once it's gone it's gone! You might need better ones ! 😢
My ears are shot too. I have spent years in diggers and and to many years using shotguns
Mine too, and tinnitus
WHAT WAS THAT? 🤷♂️👂🏼😁
Exactly, you only have one hearing! And please be aware, that if it's loud to you, it's even louder to Ted!
I know a guy who is deaf in his right ear because he spent 30 years driving lorries with the window open.... all that wind noise adds up!
That Landy would look good in black....... Could identify as a Foden support vehicle. 😊
Ah yes, mud. I was a tanker in Germany 1974 to 76, German mud is famous and 2 things tanks make very well are huge clouds of dust and unreal amounts of mud. Nothing like pulling an M60A1 out that is buried to the sponson boxes, about 5 feet deep.
Buggati is absolutely beautiful, and what a sound. 6x6 Land Rover, who knew? Fantastic.
Sounds like a good, fun job. I love tanks, dud you serve on a M60A1 or Leopard 1? And yes, that land rover is quite cool. I love landys too
@@tanks4lyfe509 M60A1, I was with our sister unit for 2 weeks, the 124th Panzer BN and they still had M48A1's , fast, loud and they smelled awful because of the gas engine, we fueled the M48's with 5 gallon jerry cans.
@@safn1949 ye sounds good, I don't know what to think about M48s, definately not the best tank of that era haha
I@@tanks4lyfe509
Raputitska i think is what the Germans called the Ostfront mud.
For all wondering
We are looking for £15,000 Ono for the Landrover 6x6
How much to post to Australia mate?
@@glennstevenson6242 Why when you can buy a ex Aust Army LR 6x6 Perentie diesel for $30k thats already here 😂
Why don't you use gravel? It would probably help a lot with the water And the mud?
What is that SEPECAT Jaguar doing there? And what was that aircraft in the background, another Jet Provost?
Do you do finance 😂
If only I could afford that six-legged Land Rover, I'd take it without hesitation. What a beauty.
And a Sepecat Jaguar hiding in the Bramble 🫣😎
I thought that's what that was!
@@armorer94 Yes, me too. With these videos you never know what beastie will turn up in the weeds.
Jaguar GR.1 XZ382😁
You noticed to , I knew those Jaguars were meant to get down low in the weeds but that's ridiculous . Reminds of harrier hides in the field when I was a youngster , miss those days .
What a treat for a Monday. Woohoo. 😊👍🏻😊
Nice landy in your pfp. Ex military, I take it
Great to see the D9 getting some action but that Bugatti is stunning but then you bring out the 6×6 Landy, what a video
Awe a babe farrrttt!!!!! Smelled like roses 🌹 and strawberries 🍓!!!!!
That Bugatti is bloody nice.
When I was at school as part of his Metalwork exam in 1974 a boy at the school constructed a 6 wheel Land Rover. I believe he basically got a short wheelbase one and grafted on the backend of another one frabricating all the required bodywork etc, I remember the local newspaper coming round to see it and interview him as it was pretty unique at that time I think.
Nice one. Good to see Ted checking the water table in the fields 😅😅😂
The engines on those straight 8 Bugatti are beautiful, an engineering masterpiece,if anyone gets a chance to see one in the flesh take a minute to appreciate the way it's crafted and put together.
Like the way the mags are set up
Perfect tonic for a Monday morning, with Ted featuring prominently. Like the roller skating, brought back memories of happy times up at Alexandra Palace.Roll on the next one!
That was brilliant, interesting and entertaining. If you can find somewhere where they are resurfacing a section of road, see if you can get the planings off them. You can lay them as a hard surface and in the hot weather the tarmac will melt to fuse it together. Thats what we did at our local aircraft museum, Morayvia, and it worked a treat. Big hardstanding for fixed wing aircraft and helicopters now. That 6x6 series was cool. Seen 6x6 range rover airfield fire tenders in the RAF. Not a series though. Bugatti an absolute beauty too. And very interesting to me was the Jaguar parked behind the land rover.
The range rovers your on about was the TACR 2 , really fun to drive and fast . Well it was compared to the MK9's and MK10's that usually accompanied it .
That’s the idea, now backfill with 4 to 6 feet of crushed rock, I operated a D9 for lots of years in the Army and in the South Texas Your uranium mines for 7 years, your doing a good job my friend
What a combination! Land Rover 6x6 & a Sepecat Jaguar! You certainly get to "play" at the most exciting locations!
Sad thing is between Mr Hewes and his friends , they probably have more aircraft than the RAF now .
@@zeberdee1972 quality not quantity
That yard needs a sign.
-"No wheeled vehicles allowed."
Maybe "Entry Limited to vehicles with a minimum of six wheels."
@@daithiosioradain3380 No one can deny the FODEN
😂👏🏻 well done old chap.....love the switch up at the start 😂
Bambi on concrete 😂 im dieing 😂 cheers you legends 👍
The amazing and unusual things farmers have in the back of the shed.
3:53 Absolutely brilliant.🤣🤣🤣
You find the most amazing vehicles to present to us.
That Bugatti was gorgeous!
The series 2A, i'd have that if i were in the UK. Wonder how much for shipping to Australia?
Muckin around in a D9 and a digger, lovely way to spend the day.
Glad to see Ted earning his keep ;) and keeping you all in line.
Love the content.
Cheers for sharing.
Now that D9 would be a good stop oil activist shifter ..even better than the lad with the Beemer on the limiter deafening them 😂😂😂😂
We had one of these in our TA RE Squadron, fantastic bit of kit, add a Grader and you are fixed for life … if you want to make roads !. I discovered you can sleep in the bucket too, if you are tired enough !
Sure you didn't fall asleep next to a few buckets on the odd occasion 😅 ? .
@@zeberdee1972 mabely!!
That Jaguar would make a handsone weather vane... with its lights on.
That's a lovely bit of landscaping. Smashing !
Bril!. Love the 'twists and addatives' (other vehicles) you put in your vids! Nuff said.
That Bugatti is a work of art, and I bet that Rover is super rare, that was cool.
Not sure if intentional as it might be before your time Mr H, but that intro was very 'Jesse from The Fast Show'. This week, I have been mostly fixing tanks... 😁
I remember that show , really good 😅
Great video Joe! Very entertaining for sure!!! 😃👍🏻👍🏻🛠️🔩🔧🧰⛓️🍻
Great watch for a rainy Monday morning.
Love the remote dizzy on the Bug ❤
Great video as ever!!
I can see that you are back to your big toys this morning 👍👍👍. For sure you can never be bored at the farm together with Ted 😅😅
Great video ! Joe s plant hire ! Good to see Ted foreman !
Love the mixed content of this video, heavy machinery, miniature horses, classic cars and a bit of figure skating! Amazing!
Cool 6x6
What a really cool old Rover, I have never seen one like that before. Pretty cool vehicle!😊
Ground control to Major Ted...
Commencing countdown, engines on
the wind bit xD
Awesome as usual. Keep these coming. 😊😊
Nice to see Ted got around to teaching you how to operate a D9 Caterpiller , his talents astound me
"and this will be for sale if anyone is interested" well you see...the problem is that I can't afford it, I don't have the space for it and I probably wouldn't have the patience for it either when it breaks. So apart from that, very interested!
Quality viewing for a Monday, great vid joe 👍💯😉
Oh YES. a Monday morning The Ted Show! And what a great little project... "Let's remove a load of mud, and replace it with a load of mud that's got a few bricks in". XD
When you cut to the chap and his Bugatti, the first shot did rather give the impression he was shagging it.
You must admit , hell of a bonet
We saw a replica Bugatti last year in of all places Italy. It was the mutts nuts. Lovely.
Good to see Ted back in charge
What fun !!!! i love it
No unnecessary intros no begging to like and subscribe is what I like about certain channels this one included, just get stuck in right from the start.
Another great vid Mr H. I pass your place a couple of times per day and have nearly left the road numerous times just trying to see what's in the yard. Ref the Q and A, just keep doing what you're doing and I'm sure most of us will be happy. That 6x6 is a babe! Sandringham?
I'm very interested in the Land Rover, however I am broke and live in the USA 😔. Love the videos, even with no tanks involved I like seeing the interesting things you come across
For such a short video, there was so much to comment on! I'm not going to try, except for the Sepcat Jaguar in silhouette behind the beautiful Landy that I would love!!! Joe you've done it again, editing superb, content ditto, subtle humour - typical. Thanks for the Easter Egg, much enjoyed.
Oh, I needed this. Thanks!
Magical Monday Mud!
I identify as a foden, kills me every time 😂😂😂
That clapped out strainght pipe cat digger is just the coolest thing i've seen today
Your awesome and awesome video be safe out there
Love the tachometer drive off the back of the cam on the Bugatti
bloody hell Mr Hewes its not mud its a swamp!!!
6 x 6 and a Harrier…. Magic
Love the landy, could do with another S2 to go with my 1971 S2a😊
It was a bit dark at the time, but I swear I saw a Jet Aircraft parked in back? Maybe that's considered normal in England? I'm getting one of those Foden stickers for sure! Love the channel mate!
Best Replica 34A ever.
Mr. Hewes, During CoVid I purchased a Liebherr 921, long in the tooth and some slap in the boom, but on massive tracks and a nine liter, six cylinder air cooled engine. The thing is a monster and the biggest toy I have on our small holding in the middle of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Having burst a hose and another one to fix after a friend blew it out, I need to change them all. The digger has so far rescued my Barford Site Dum Truck SX3000, which I thought would go anywhere, until I beached it and a rather large trailer that my old international tractor was not up to pulling on a seriously wet field. But when you have power and weight (21Tonnes) there is no obstacle, other than the wife!!! It's not the best digger, but it's mine and I can fix it!
Nice landy seems to run well to
A fine and interesting installment young man. Great to see the D9 in action, a Bugatti for some glamourous and beatiful content, a rugged Land Rover 6x6 (not many of them about but have seen a few in my Land Rovering days) and lurking in the background did I see a Jaguar GR1??? Mr Hewes, we deserve to see and learn more of this aircraft please!
You don't have any experience driving a CAT...but you have Ted.
Bugger mud is such a pain been bogged in a few times in armour hope your dad isn't to mad at you for spreading it about onto his fields feel for you we were lucky in ghe army to have tank parks with lots of flat concrete to park and work on keep it up cant wait to see the d9 finished and painted somthing different for a bit
Excellent content thanks for the laugh!
I'd love to see that Jaguar start up!
need a feature length video of bambi on ice
That Bugatti sounds nice, worth a couple of bob I bet!
The editing of the cab door swop was pure brilliance! 😂
❤💥💫 always great content.
Gorgeous sounding Bugatti!
Love to see this style of video 👍
All good sitting on the battery box till you earth something out.....😂😂
With your lipstick
Greenpeace love that D9 Exhaust
Not seen a 6 wheeler, but I did visit a company in Yorkshire - P.A. Blanchards - MOD landrover specialists... They had a few FC101's, some ex US army special forces dune buggies (ex Gulf war 1), an SAS pink panther, and a Series landrover Half Track!
They also had a Vickers gun mounted on the counter (We don't tolerate shoplifters up in Yorkshire). Took me about 10 minutes to remember what I went for (series electric fuel pump - they had the rebuild kit too so I was able to save the old one as a spare) many years ago now, but I hope they're still as 'interesting'...
I'd love that Landy as a retirement project, if the price plus shipping to Thailand was within my pension! I'd even let you come over to visit it every year, that's if you can stand the heat!
Good job mucking out the yard! It’s been absolutely painful seeing you guys trying to work in that mess.
Nice Sepecat Jaguar there
Ivan Duckett of shed racing will be creaming his pants looking at this beaut Bugatti
That Bugatti sounds sweet.
love your mixx videos..
The Buggatti was a beaut, grandfather went to work at a coach builders after the war,he worked with a felka by the name of Jack Moreton , he had a Austin seven and i velieve a Aston Martin early number....he would love that bug.
Eh, you don't need much experience to operate those machines. In all actuality, the bigger they get, the easier to work them. My brother and I had zero hours working on D10s and we finished the multi-generational land flattening project. Took a tiny mountain down to a hill with a pair of them to fill up all the valleys that made that land otherwise useless for farming, over the course of a few years. The biggest secret is ... let the machine do the work. It's kinda like working with hand saws. If you force it, it will bend. If you don't give it enough pressure, it won't cut proper. Same with these machines. Keep them steady on and they do the job.
you have more fun in one day than most people manage in a life time , I had a JCB 3cx to play with once , fantastic toy
Having fun every day is important
Had a chat with a guy a few years ago (while out on mi bike) who had a Charabanc parked outside his garage, within which was a Morgan - was in 'pieces' but the engine was in, some body work was needing attention, seats were out ready for recovering but it still looked good. Not a 'car' person but can recognise class when I see it and that Bugatti is well up there.
Several dump truck loads of "gravel" (crushed limestone) placed & distributed over the muddy areas would help a lot.
Recently discovered your channel. I’m hooked. Fantastic content with lots of daft mates.
Really Great Video!
“Accidentally “ bang dat freakin wall into the ex mud hole and boom, brick mud
😎Awesome Bug, D9 handling ...🧐... You need to volunteer to take demolition rubble from any neighbour k ockjng down old sheds/ houses and use that to bSe out the un concreted bit of the yard, travel over it in the D9 , dont waste time on excavator , then buy A load or two " crusher run" 100mm downwards i size, tightens in the un paved yard then concrete it as soon as your next Yohtube cheque clears... Proper Job!!😝
the Bugatta just purred
Make a grizzly bar screener and screen that Rock at your farm. You’ll be suprised at how much road bad you’ll get and then just assume gravel on top and you’ll be golden no more deep
Mud
D9 is the Chuck Norris of bulldozers
Best opening statement ever.
Im going to show you how to landscape badly 😂😂😂😂
