Valve body fixed my hard shifts! I saw the videos you and others put out! The dealer cost me over 700 bucks and multiple trips and didn't fix it. I said to them all along I thought it was the valve body. Took it to a private shop and sure enough, that took care of it!
@@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod The look on your face was 😂. I’m only laughing because Kim was like, “ do you have a brother I don’t know about!?!?! He’s def fam!” 😂😂
Thank you for checking your life points and giving it the 'customary shake." I always did that and twitch when I see someone lift without doing it. Just one more piece of attention to detail.
100% those bolts broke off and they fixed it with what they had on hand. Honestly they did pretty dang good on that mishap repair for those bolts from the camera angles. If only the truck could talk! 😂😂😂
Stealership is giving me a bill of work that I didn't approv, then I show them my bill of 17 milj. and say that's my bill to You, Stealership, for driving my car here (which You didn't approv either). Wha's going to happen next? Lawyers? Ha ha ha ha
Wow, that did happen to me, at a Ford Dealer. I had a written estimate and the mechanic fixed it by mistake and it was four times the written estimate. I said WHAT. They did a good job fixing it and they fix what the issue was and it was a lot more than they thought. So we negotiated without arguing and I paid them the estimate and a little bit more but not the full price. They did not holler at all just saidthank you have a nice day.
What in the fuddruckers……absolutely hysterical!😂😂😂. I would be livid at the shop that 1-fixed it and 2-did such a hatchet job on it. Screaming at them won’t help-you have to have some self respect for that to have an effect. Lawsuit or fines-only thing that might change their practices (or public shaming to warn others (with details why)
Thanks for the video. Sorta related but I always wonder why replacement parts like trans pans and other assemblies do not come with new hardware. As to your question, I have a highly trusted mechanic and he knows how I feel about correct repairs and tell him if he sees something else or needs something additional to just do it. I know that is not how he normally operates but that is him and me. I had a recent problem with my Silverado and took it to the dealer because I thought it would be covered under the powertrain warranty (it wasn't) and the dealer was calling me every step of the way. Yeah, I would be upset without an estimate tendered in this case. In the end I think I would complant but final payment would depend on wether the problem was actually fixed and I was not sure about that from the video.
Quite a few of the vehicles I see have that level of corrosion on them, unfortunately. And working on rigs with the gnarly oil undercoating can be pretty diecey also. I'm in Vermont they use some serious brine up here.
My F-250 squats with a combined total of 15,000lbs on the back. Gooseneck trailer and cargo. Not bad, but it does a bit. It doesn't squat much more when loaded to a GCW of 35,960lbs. I got overloaded by a bad loader once. No damage to truck or trailer. Must have been an act of God.
Okay Michigan truck riding out that makes sense I would put that under a significant damage but those bolts you would really expect to see brand new bolts even if they old ones had to be drilled out I would expect brand new bolts and not a mixture some with washers and some without that was crazy what your video showed. @@PowerStrokeTechTalkwARod
Arod, I'm in SC, really enjoy your videos, I just recently purchased a 2017 Powerstroke with 63k miles on it, I tow a cattle trailer and 24 ft gooseneck hay trailer occasionally, what oil do you recommend I use, thanks
Have yall ever do this??? ua-cam.com/video/mCo_NdHNfZg/v-deo.html

Coming to your shop all the way from South Texas was the best decision I made for my Super Duty. Keep up the great work!
Big props to you brother. As usual what a rust bucket!
That freaking leaf blower! 😂
This kind of stuff is why you are one of the few I do trust! Maintenance stuff, I can do. Big stuff is you brother!

Sorry to say it, but the technician is everything and when they have no integrity, there is no quality..
I think Florida would be a great place for you ARod. It would benefit me also 😂
We got Cody down here also. They all great though 😊
Crusty barnacle bucket there.
Lawsuit time.

Yikes, that's a bad deal. Shotty work at best.
That battery is eating itself and needs cleaning bad.
That would so suck to have to work around all that falling rust. We are spoiled in Comiefornia
I'd rather have rust than work and live and that state
Was DS out doing the lawn care and running the effing leaf blower?!?!?
That looks like they just got a hand full of bolts out of a bucket and spray painted a pan. 🤦♂️
Yeppp
I didn't authorize the work so I'm not paying for it. One. Of the reasons I will fix it myself
funny, you have leaf blower man; eric o. has lawnmower man.....
🤣🤣

What failure would a truck have such that the transmission pan would need replacement other than significant damage to the pan?
