Next week is our 500th episode of The Cinema Snob! Any guesses on what the episode will be?
Will it be Human Centipede?
Sex lives of the potato men ?
five reviews part 2
Porn parody of a pure flix
Or
Space jam
Short Circuit? or Every Which Way But Loose?
With a bald head and cat in his lap, Brad has officially achieved evil villain status
Can't wait for him to reach Dr. Claw status
I THINK I JUST FIGURED OUT THE THIRD PART TO THE FORMULA... HE MUST BE DRESSED AS A CLOWN... BUT WITHOUT THE CLOWN MAKE UP....
@@aurorauplinks *flips table* Mother of god...
@@jamesrowles9249 i HAVE STUDIED pure evil... and soon i shall unlock the perfect movie villain... he shall review books and consider movies to be a pointless waste of everyone's time and below everyone's worth of time to watch when they could be reading a book instead, even though he is a movie villain...m uwahahahahah
but its still a theory i am working out... in the mean time i have horrible movie scripts to work on
@@aurorauplinks ...dear lord... that is evil.
Still holds up thanks to the creepy soundtrack by Elliot Goldenthal, even though it sounds similar to Amityville Horror soundtrack, still great. Plus with Gage you took the movie up to 11, switching it like the remake, you took it down to 5. Evil little girls...how original.
Yeah Gage is mucho creepy in this movie, saw it when I was 11 and I'm still afraid of toddlers. They might have scalpels!!!
I want to play with yuuuuuuuuuu.
Agreed. I get that they can get more mileage out of the child actor that way, but still 🤨
I was worried this would be a April Fools joke and the real vid would've come out next week.
I'm disappointed it was _not_ an April's Fools joke and the real vid came out next week.
(Sigh) Maybe next week we'll get the April Fool's joke video. Because _jokes on you!_ _You thought it was going to come out on April 1st, didn't you!_
the snobs transition into DR.Evil is almost complete
Mary Lambert also directed the FMV footage for Double Switch that game with Cory Haim
IM REALLY SUPRISED THEY DIDNT HAVE A SAINT BERNARD TO BURY INSTEAD OF A CAT LOL AND CALLED HIM CHURCH-JO
This was very entertaining
Thumbs up for the 'Massive Head-wound Harry' reference.
That was quite esoteric.
Ayuh, that there be the power of the Wendigo.
Did not know lloyd was that big.
Seeing as it's April 1st, I was almost expecting the entire video to just be a review of that video store ad.
@@wstine79 That dog was a thief!
That will be genius actually
seeing as April 1st i thought it was going to the the film April Fools day. or did he do that one already ? i forget
Morgil I was hoping it was just gonna be a bunch of footage of Lloyd and friends going about their day😝
Came for the review, stayed for Lloyd
We all do ;)
Last spotting of Chloe. Hope she’s ok.
I always like it when Lloyd shows up in The Snob's reviews.
I know right
@@randalgraves6979 chloe died quite a while ago he did a whole video on that
*I remember a story where someone worked with Brad on a project and when asked what he was like to work with they replied:*
"He was a really nice guy, and he really loves his cat Lloyd. He kept walking around and asking people if they wanted to see pictures."
& Everyone said Yes
Lloyd is the real snob!!
Wait he didn't do what Borat did, did he?Where Borat would show a small stack of pictures of his wife and than after they shuffled through the 4th picture there was a explicit nude picture of her spreading out.
@@santisomchay1978 if only!!
Every cat owner is like this. I don't know what it is about cats that triggers this level of consistent worship.
Snob listen to me, I know what you're thinking, you want to bring back "The Diary of a Mad Black Woman" review, but sometimes dead is better. The review you put up there on UA-cam ain't the review that comes back. It may look like that review, but it ain't that review. 'Cause... whatever lives in the algorithm beyond the Lionsgate copyright claim ain't human at all.
Even a review of your movie that says your movie is bad is fair use. I wish there was a way of getting that message to the major studios.
I half expect one of the speeding trucks to be wearing a Green Goblin mask on the grill.
And for all atm machines to call Stephen King an asshole!
WHO MADE WHO
WE MADE YOU!!!
That would be fucking awesome.
WE'LL MEET AGAIN SPIDER-MAAAAAAAN
So Lloyd's real voice sounds like Phelan?
what is this witchcraft, Lloyd is far more energetic than Phelan.
And far less on the nose with his sarcasm.
@@Shiirow it's not witchcraft, it's magic
Considering Phelous also has cats I'm wondering if one of his could sound like Brad now...
Awww I can hear Lloyd purring away when you pet him in the close ups. 10/10
Oh wow did not notice that thanks!
R.I.P Lloyd, you were a great kitty ❤🐱
I wasn’t expecting so much Lloyd in this review and I’m ~*delighted*~ He is the best and most handsome boy 🐱
I'm surprised with all of Stephen King's stories taken place in Maine no one left and decided to live somewhere less evil and creepy.
Please, with that kind of free advertisement, it's a tourist hotbed.
I hear Colorado is nice.
It's like the slums, the only people left are the ones who are too spiritually broken to leave.
They have one of the lowest crime rates of any state (well except Derry...and Salem's lot) and the scenery is just beautiful.
The occasional Eldritch abomination or unholy monster attack is just the price one pays to live in such a beautiful state.
@@merrittanimation7721 Yep, maybe find a nice hotel that overlooks the mountains?
I just realised: GAGE CREED is an unbeliavable cool name
I want a Pureflix version of this where someone takes all the dead fetuses from Unplanned and buries them at the Micmac burial ground. And Planned Parenthood's slogan is "sometimes dead is better."
Huh UK pureflix would actually be improved by that
It'd probably be #1 at the box office
That sounds horrifying yet also hilarious.
South Park Stick of Truth did something like this, only with Nazis and Taco Bell thrown in.
Only if Tromavision does their own version.
I thought you would've reviewed the 1986 slasher film *April fool's Day* but this is good too
I think he did that a few years ago
if you want to eat, you need to get the clicks -- I don't have to tell you why that for the next 4+ weeks, people will be searching for 'Pet Sematary reviews' -- hopefully he will get new subscribers too
I always liked this movie, I've never had it recommended to me by a cat before but I'm sure I'll watch it again, eventually. Thanks Lloyd... I wish others were as entertaining and informative hahaha.
Lloyd should be in every review; he should be the co-reviewer. I like Lloyd.
#lloydthecat
agree
#LloydApproved
With it being April 1st, I swear on my life I was sure this was gonna be a stealth review of Pet Graveyard.
Same here; I almost didn't hit the thumbnail..and Oh, what a sweet surprise it was, indeed. :D
Lloyd is a lilttle thicc I see. An absolute unit!
He's a chonk and needs a diet.
Still a cat so still adorable
_I don't want to be buried in a pet sematary_
_I don't want to live my life again_
I want the Ramones to live again. Youngsters these days need real music.
Thanks, Ramones!
@Transylvanian Hunger maybe in the remake! would be cool
I really hope they play their song in the remake...
@@Headbanger142 I heard from people that saw it at SXSW that its in the credits....or at least an updated version.
these hate crimes and predjudices agains the unholy undead have to stopp. first off,t hey are the "living impaired" second, not all undeads need to feed on living flesh, some just want blood.
I eat souls myself.
#Undeadlivesmatter
Or the brain and who needs that? Like the great Clancy Brown said in part 2 "no brain no pain."
"Living impaired"? Pfft, please. We call them the "mortally challenged" nowadays.
That’s a different Stephen King story
Brad, you need to get a Lloyd Disapproves sign to go with your Lloyd Approved one.
"And that's how he got his eye patch."
Oh God, my sides!
And that's how she got hers... at 1st I thought it was a Nick Fury reference. The I started to vaguely remember that guy with an eye patch in some movie. Haven't found it yet.
@@jamesparker8134 I thought it was a Nick Fury reference
This entire plot could've been avoided if they'd just installed a fence next to the road. As much as I genuinely like this film and some of the performances, it's kinda sad that the entire premise falls apart with a trip to home depot.
The childs performance in the last part of the film is one of the creepiest child performances in a horror film ever.
Worthy of him being cast in a Japanese horror.
I saw a video someone took at a convention once, where most of the actors were there. Interestingly, the movie was filmed from start to end. The director thought that if the baby had a good enough relationship with all the other actors, then they could make the creepy end sequence feel like they were playing a game. The actor who played Gage said that after he grew up he got to visit the house where they filmed it again, and he said that it felt like going back to the home of a relative from years before because he vaguely remembered where things were. Oh--and one of the cats that played Church had kittens, so some of the actors got to take a kitten home when they were done :) There were a few cats that were trained to do different things like eat and jump on things; they were able to do it that way since he had that grey coloring.
@@Perid0tStarCheers for that. 😀
I didn't know any of that. I do like knowing behind the scenes in films.
@@Perid0tStar Creepy movie with the most wholesome backstory heh
I didn't realize how tubby Lloyd had become :3
Jonathan Rodd Hey, we are all getting older and putting on some weight. We’re still desirable.
Healthy. Not tubby.
Maybe it was Thanksgiving for Cats at Brad’s house recently
Maybe he loves lasagna.😁
I couldn't really concentrate on the review, was too busy gushing over Lloyd. He's gorgeous.
Maybe the reason they're having marital trouble is because Yar won't shut up about her nightmarish homeworld in front of the kids!
Or maybe that's actually Yar's daughter, and she keeps repeating the story of her mom's life as a prisoner of war.
Back when I was a truck driver, anytime I'd go down roads like the one in this movie (which oddly enough do indeed have pretty high speed limits) I was always terrified of some child running out in front of my rig XD
why did they build the houses next to that road? why is that road there?
Also, reanimated goldfishes would be hilarious and ineffective.
They would be evil magikarps.
Lloyd turned into a real chunky boy since his detective days.
Retirement from the force does that to you
sometimes I just walk around my house going "sometimes... dead is bedda"
truly iconic line
Why...didn’t they build a fence? 80’s parenting I swear.
Yeah, after the first close call that would have been my top priority.
Looks like Lloyd has been raiding Brad's beer stash. Still awesome and cute though!
Until he died he made us "richer."
I wanted to post it, but I knew someone else had. So thank you.
I rewound the video because the rhyme didn't work and i knew that couldn't be right...
4:24 Oh Lawd He Comin'... Chonk Lloyd Coming!
That's a fucking fatass cat. Adorable. But if that's Lloyd who's the other one?
Chloe
Lloyd is that fat?
🤨 he’s not fat. He’s big boned. And a fluffy boy.
'It's great they got a pic of Gage just before the truck hit him.' Oh man this was dark, and absolutely hilarious.
Snob: "It's time we take a look at one of Lloyd's favourite movies... the original Pet Sematary film."
Lloyd: "That is NOT one of my favourite movies."
You're absolutely right, Lloyd. Sometimes book is better. :)
Honestly, the book version (along with Gerald's Game) were the only 2 Stephen King books that ever seriously got to me, the rest were just kind of more giant, incredibly long "WTF?!" moments for me.
No, the remake is better!
Definitely pet semetary the book is awesome
"Lloyd, no, no you dont wanna go don't thatta way"
Had me in tears😂
"Directed by Mary Lambert" wait, I've seen that name before. "Madonna"? no. "The Blacklist"? no. "Mega Python vs. Gatoroid"? no. "Double Switch!" That's the one! The successor to "Night Trap" the FMV game.
This is not a good movie to have "peaked" at.
Gage wearing the sister Zelda's clothes from the painting of her in the grandparents' house, not an embarrassing sailor outfit he was buried in. I always loved that detail (although 'embarrassing' is still a good descriptor, lol). I love this good-bad movie.
Thanks man. I have always loved this one. NOW, when do we get Hellraiser 3?
Dale Isn’t it obvious? When the next theatrical release in the Hellraiser franchise occurs.
Anyone else catch that Captain Marvel reference in the review?
Mother Flerken!!!
Last time he trusted Church he lost an eye.
Sorry.......i missed it. 🤨😏
Is that a cross stitched 'Lloyd Approved' logo? That's incredible!
Only thing better than a new review by the Cinema Snob is a new review by the Cinema Snob together with Lloyd.
Pretty good movie, I can''t wait until you review Pet Sematary 2 lol.
"It means you should stop getting ideas from Frank Drebin's cousin"
Weirdly accurate
I can’t believe you had the star of one of the most iconic sci-fi television series in a film, and not ONCE do you make a reference to it! I mean, would it KILL you to reference Time Trax starring Dale Midkiff?!
And herman munster tyvm
4:24 - 4:31 that is a very chunky feline.
Lloyd sounds exactly how I first imagined his voice...
Shirley Temple crossed with Jack the Ripper? Too things that I didn't realize I wanted combined.
On The Good Ship Lollipop
With my axe I will chop chop chop
Your flesh is flayed
On the sunny beach of Peppermint Bay
That's basically just Darla Dimples from Cats Don't Dance.
Lloyd's voice sounds like Nick Swardson's Native American accent.
"Those are ceremonial sinks!"
Gambling dog? Like the painting?
Good video, thank you!
12:14 lollll
Speed bumps and common sense...
Having been to that house near Hancock Point, I can confirm that yes, trucks do drive 70mph down Maine roads.
@ It was 40 mph, if I recall. But up in Maine, speed limit is only a suggestion.
@ It's more that no one obeys the speed limits and tears ass down the roads as they please. Went by that house again last week and yeah, the speeding is still bad.
"And that's how he got his eye patch.".
Marvel-ous joke :)
The ghost guy in this always reminds me of what they did in American werewolf in London with the ghost friend always hanging around. I bet the two of them get together on the weekends lol
4:49 “He made us RICHER”. Not bitches or better.
Now I wanna pet Lloyd...
Lloyd is stealing the spotlight
I thought I was the only one who spoke through my cat
Lloyd is a chomker :3
So That Darn Cat for the 500th episode or..?
You know what I realized?
Stephen King makes a cameo in most of his movie adaptations. (Namely the ones he wrote the screenplay for, but still.)
Was Stephen King the prototype of Stan Lee?
i approve of the large amount of Lloyd in this review. Also I want a Cinema snob and Lloyd "that darn cat" review now (love original but the remake is no compare)
“We can get him a new shoe...” 😹
7:04 isn't that the same lady who was the demon teacher on THE X-FILES?
8:28 Lloyd: "I don't like Gore!" ... but I thought you were a democat?
16:48 and what in the hell IS that?!
I think you're right about the teacher. I love that episode.
@@AdmiralAwsm i thought she looked familiar
Lloyd is a beautiful cat.
Maybe its just a perspective thing, but I never noticed he is quite an impressive size too. He looks darn near Maine Coon size in this video.
@@Ryodraco yeah I was surprised. He's pretty big.
To borrow a phrase, he's an Absolute unit.
He really is. Though, admittedly, it's kind of hard to find a cat that's truly ugly.
@@AnInsideJoke Most cats are ugly on the inside. I say that as a person who had a cat as a child.
NC: (slurring) What kind of water are they drinking in Maine to make them such a#*holes??
I can't wait to see your Poltergeist review. All four of them, including recycling version... oh, I mean re-make.
RIP Lloyd
11:24 Spoiler alert for Captain Marvel
Everything that happens in this story could have been avoided if someone had build... a... fence!
So kids cant run out on the road
@ The book explain the trucks.
Its some ancient evil creature in the woods and it feeds on the fear (and gives the place its powers) the burialground spreads.
The drivers speeds up both because the creature makes them AND they feel that they should get out of there asap ....
Win - Win situation for the beast
Mr King is a weird man.....
I think most of his works were done while being on drugs...
Or just play in the backyard did you see the kite shot their backyard looks huge also why is the house 5ft from the road
Was the video counter guy Beverly Leslie from Will and Grace??
"DAD! DAD! BART DID SOMETHING HORRIBLE!"
"Did you wreck the car?"
"No."
"Did you raise the dead?"
"YES!"
"But the cars okay?"
"Uh huh."
Man I remember this movie scaring the shit outta me as a kid. Plus that Ramones soundtrack for this movie is always awesome. Can't wait for the remake.
Wait...
There's a movie with both Debbie Gibson and Tiffany???
Has anybody covered this???
🤯
...i had no idea lloyd was so big. 18 lbs?
Aw Pet Semetary is good and all but I was looking forward to your review of Hellraiser III: Sony Discman Attacks *cough cough* I mean Hell on Earth.
10:23 "The set of The Conqueror is a safer place to live."
*Awkwardly chuckles in Downwinders*
This had better not be an April fool's joke.
Oh god. So this is how Medea keeps coming back
RIP Lloyd, we love you buddy😥😥😥
The movie that ruined the name Rachel forever. Thanks Zelda!
The title should’ve been ‘Pet Cemetery’ for April Fool’s
Did you know...BURGER KING announced that from the 4/1/1958 there will be burgers for lefthanded people!
Never liked Pet Sematary. I just couldn't get behind the characters. Really enjoyed Wake Wood, tho, which is Irish Pet Sematary.
Strongly agree, Pet Sematary was a mess of off screen kills, irrelevant tangents, dream sequences and flashbacks and Dale Midkiff's wooden deliveries. It's profoundly overrated. I'll keep an eye out for Wake Wood, though.
You'll enjoy the remake then
Fred Gwynne and Max Von Sydow could have been like the twins from the Shining, except old af and also men
I've watched a lot of your videos, and I always enjoy them quite a bit, but I can honestly say. this one is my favorite. I definitely laughed harder at this one than any other. Awesome!!!
First movie I cried to.
Looking back, I probably shouldn't have. This looks bad.
Good old Stephen King movies. They manage to freak you out if you accidentally see them when you're a kid, but, as an adult, they're entertainingly terri-bad. I think that The Shining and the IT remake were the only 2 that managed to escape this, and supposedly King hated how much Kubrick changed on The Shining.
@@AnInsideJoke I thought the it remake was comically bad.
The shining was good though and some of his non horror ones like shawshank and green mile
InsideJoke Are you kidding about The Shining remake?? That was SHIT--it wasn't scary and Steven Weber (who I normally like) was TERRIBLY miscast. It was more like a dark comedy.
@ I'm talking about the Jack Nicholson shining not the terrible remake.
That was the only good horror film adaptation of his I've seen
Anybody else find it ironic that the guy that played John Conner in Genesys is playing Louis in the remake and the trailer spoils the twist?
No, because that's not irony. At all.
I don't think you know what that means...
Irony is a situation where one thing occurs when the opposite is expected to happen. For example, an outlaw in his youth becomes a law enforcer later in his life. That situation is ironic.
You are describing something that you think it is interesting. The character who played a young John Connor in one of the Terminator movies (Edward Furlong) also played in Pet Sematary 2.
The book will always be scarier to me than the two adaptations. However I’ll give this film credit for King writing the screenplay & making it mostly faithful to his novel. And Miko Hughes was freaking adorable as little Gage!
The book still holds the title ok the novel that scared me the most. I'm sure becoming more desensitized over the years has played a part in that, but nonetheless it had me completely invested and insanely creeped out.
