The Cinema Snob reviews Elm Street 3.
I always wanted to see how they woke up from the final dream - Joey in the hospital, Kristen in the quiet room... and Kincaid in a room with 3 dead bodies.
That always bugged me too. Good luck explaining that, he is considered a emotionally troubled young man prone to violent outbursts
I liked the part where Larry Fishburne gave all the suicidal teens red pills so they could fight Freddy in the Matrix.
Aubry Andersen 👏👏
Aubry Andersen I like you. You’re funny.
Aubry Andersen So if you take the blue pill, your bed explodes into blood? Feels like the FDA should issue a warning on those.
artistwithouttalent Nah, if you take the blue pill, you just start feeling white guilt and patriarchal oppression. Have you had your red pill today?
Faal Onik Dovah Ah, casual. I took them both, crushed them with the back of a knife and snorted them. It's a very unique experience.
"I used to live in this house."
"It was when she was much tinier."
I laughed way harder than I should have at that.
This is honestly one of the best Elm Street movies along with the original of course and New Nightmare
Don't forget Dream Master
+Adrian Castro Agreed. In terms of quality, this should have been the conclusion of the franchise. It explains Freddy's origin, wraps up all plot threads begun in the original, and ends with Nancy passing on the tools necessary for survival to a new generation. A perfect conclusion to one of the best horror stories in American cinema.
ramon baugh What about Dream Master?
Dream Master is one of the best in the series
+ramon baugh - I like Dream Master, too.
Snob pseudo-hating a movie he likes while actually prasing it and mocking critical snobery about the movie is always my favorite Snob!
"Let's thank Freddy for cancelling young Sheldon"
Omg lol
I'm very disappointed to see that Young Sheldon was not actually cancelled. I haven't seen it, but if it's anything like The Big Bang Theory, it will be decidedly not funny and full of bizarre misogyny.
Master Markus Stop being Offended. It makes you Vulnerable, and Weak.
1. Capitalization. Why?
2. I'm not offended, or at least, I'm not trying to say "my offense should cause them to pull the show" it's just that The Big Bang Theory is literally full of misogynistic jokes and when I hear them I'm just like "What the fuck? It's not the '50s anymore. Who finds this funny?"
And I can take dark and offensive humour, the issue here is that the show isn't remotely funny to make up for it.
Oh, if only that show were canceled.
Master Markus: keep dreamin' then, it's a spinoff show to that shitty series.
The movie turns 35 today!
Still one of the franchises best
I'm very happy Wes Craven came back to produce and write the script as well as Heather Langenkamp as Nancy
This was my first introduction to Patricia Arquette
The movie also lead to many memorable dream sequences and the very first of Freddy Kruger's one liners turning people's worst fears against them
Plus this also commented on the terrible increase of teen suicides epidemic during the late 80's
Made the concept of lucid dreaming fascinating too and I like the setting being a psychiatric ward full of teens on watch being very fleshed out
The first time in my life that I'm glad to see the "Freddy's Coming" trademark.
Two Elm Street games were made, both influenced by this film. One was a PC game setup sorta like Gauntlet. The NES game was one of the better titles published by LJN, mainly because Rare did the programming.
And my mind immediately goes to a dirty place...
A dirty place!? Like, in a underground boiler room where a bad man kidnaps unemployed action figures and forces them to please the bad man?
@@davidbauler3159 rare did the programing? wow sad when between nes nightmare on elm street and sea of theives the nes game has more content at launch lol
"I couldn't sleep at all last night. Ain't that a pickle?! BUSHWHACKED."
-Bobby Lewis
JAIL......
...BUSHWHACKED
Daniel stern.......
@@RemmySkye The opening scene to that movie with the conning and the 20 packs of bubblegum is burned in my brain.
I love that movie but havnt seen it in YEARS and want to preserve the rose tinted memories.
Oh god, the scene where they are pissing off the cliff, lmfao.
@@zigfaust”2 packs of Marlboros some snowballs and a jumbo Coke”
Patricia Arkette* crying over Nancy’s body is still heartbreaking.
Girl was good
Man I miss the 80's.
H2O, The Final Friday, and now Dream Warriors?
Thank you, Brad. Thankssssss.
All movies which were supposed to be the final entree to the series
No no, didn't you hear what Snob said ? There was only a Madea movie reviewed this October. ;)
I hate to break it to you Snob but Grady is gone, he's never coming back. He was buried next to Ben Tramer.
And Ted Hollister.
I dont watch movies.
In the Pet Semetary?
Now he's buried next to Joe Grizzly.
"Cool-Aid-man, what are you doing here?!" always cracks me up !
I'm so glad he mentioned that guy looks exactly like Bill Maher!
continuing the tradition started in Nightmare on elm street 2: with the female lead that looked like Meryl Streep
“I need to know where Freddy’s bones are buried!”
Harrison McKinney I don't know, looking at him I get more of a Judge Reinhold vibe. Or Richard Gere.
He looks like a cross between Bill Maher and Liam Neeson.
I thought he looked more like Judge Reinhold
Dream Warriors is my personal favorite of the ANOES series. It was also the first film in the series that I saw as a kid.
Caught the tail ending of this when Nancy was killed off. 🥺
No one…uses “ANOES” for the Nightmare series…
“Stop trying to make Fetch a thing..!”
Dream Warriors sounds like a magical girl anime from the 90’s
Now I want a Nightmare on Elm Street anime
Flame of Udun I’d watch it
It sounds like an 80's metal song
Aadolf that too
Actually a Nightmare anime series would be a pretty cool way to continue the franchise.
Dude, you are literally in all my subs videos, this is freaking me out
Man, it sucks how the Sharp-Hand Joe series goes so far downhill after Sharp-Hand 3: Dreamy Fingers.
“You want me to prescribe an experimental drug to a bunch of suicidal teenagers?” That cracks me up every time
Holy Sheet hands down the best Nightmare movie ever. Thank you for this as always brad.
Debatable there. the three to juggle as the Best are the Original, 3 and New Nightmare.
I would prob but the original at the top as well but with the tone shift of making Freddy a bit more comical before he went into full blown goof ball after part 3 I liked so much more than the darker Freddy without the one liners. And I actually forgot about New Nightmare Only reason I disliked that is I didn't like the kid that played Heather Langenkamp(sp?) kid in that movie lol. But I do agree on the original being very close to the 3rd one.
Well Freddy was actually terrifying in New Nightmare. Many said it was a good return to form after....Yeesh...The Power Glove movie....and it was pretty much on the same level of genius as Wes's next flick project, SCREAM.
New Nightmare was better than Scream. It actually used metatextuality, instead of just having character make movie references.
excellent observation, geoffrey; i've always felt like new nightmare was a tad more visionary than the delightful scream.
Rip Wes Craven one of the best horror directors ever.
We still have John Carpenter
The* in my opinion. Freddy is still the most badass slasher villain
I've never been so excited to watch a snob episode
That "Freddy's™ Coming!" gag destroyed me
The scariest snob review yet! He reminded me that "The Devil Inside" exists!
So happy you made a Carrie reference. Glad to see you male this review. This is still my favorite Nightmare movie.
When he casually mentioned this movie is 30-years-old, I felt like Freddy stabbed me in the gut.
LOLOLOLOL!!! You're old!
MissAshley42 I don't want to alarm you but Freddy did get you!
You, Cinema Snob, are absolutely LOADED with sarcasm!
Which is why I like the content that you put on here! Some of your comments had me almost roaring with laughter. I might not agree with you on everything you said, but hey, it's your channel, and you can do what you want to! I'm a HUGE SUPPORTER of our Constitutionally Protected Rights. Can you imagine life without them?
I saw your review for Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, and thought that it was totally spot-on. I guess the Powers-That-Be were so intent on getting closure on the Nightmare On Elm Street Franchise, that they thought they could just throw anything up on rhe screen...and that that would suffice.
WRONG!!!
The "Deaths" in Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare, are far from horrific. They're lame-Kunda like Mark Gray's Death in Nightmare On Elm Street 5:The Dream Child. Mark is turned into a paper drawing, and then slashed to pieces? That ain't gross and bloody. That's just plain-out LAME! They also show Mark's paper-drawing body, with a huge hole in his side-Rhen they shift the viewing to his feet, where the Multi-Colored "Blood" is oozing out of his feet...but what some people didn't pick up on, was that there were no cuts in his "Feet", for the "Blood" to come out of! Somebody: Please tell me, that I'm not the only one, who caught that! The "Blood" would have stopped coming out of his body, when the blood level was down to, or ever so slightly below, the huge slash on Mark's right side!
The Cinema Snob is STILL the Greatest American Hero. In my head, at least.
Still my favorite Nightmare film in the series. WELCOME TO PRIME TIME SNOB!
Ive laughed out loud so many times in these reviews. I think you’ve officially dethroned the critic on my must watch list
"in a room showing a screening of geostorm" filled with dead bodies hanging from nooses. haha LOL that was fantastic
In my dreams I'm beautiful...and bad!
I really hope you get to review the entire series.
He reviews each of them at their 30th anniversary. He'll review the 4th one next year.
Only666ticketstohell Does that mean I have to wait seven years for a Cinema Snob episode on "Wes Craven's New Nightmare"?
ajmrowland probably. We had to wait 2 years for this since the 2nd movie
Only666ticketstohell
Had no idea that's how Brad was going about reviewing this series. Was wondering why it was taking so long for Dream Warriors.
JayRam
In the review of the first one he made a joke about the anniversary. Here he mentioned it again. Just check out the release dates of the movies and the reviews . There are always 30 years between them^^
This will always be a favourite for me, it introduced me to horror films as a 7 year old and I haven't looked back since
The "jail" reference will never not be funny.
Its about freaking time!!! Thank you Brad, youve made my day!!! Now to watch this review,im excited :-)
Grady's no Ben Tramer.
Is Grady gonne become the "Ben Tramer" of these reviews? Awesome!
Dokken!!
I remember watching this sophomore year of HS.
Harrison McKinney I loved how the earliest VHS releases included the Dream Warriors music video. Sadly, they removed it from later print runs.
Harrison McKinney they Did the official Song in this. and it is awesome
ROCKEN WITH DOKKEN 🤘😎🤘
Bless You Cinema Snob! You’ve made my evening.
Grady has become the Ben Tramer of this series
#JusticeForGrady
Freddy's™ Coming! Always reminds me of the AVGN episode.
Facepalm Movie Reviews And Other Pointless Shit
Is Freddy™ coming? He sure is!!!
Facepalm Movie Reviews And Other Pointless Shit Still longing for a Snob and Nerd crossover.
Facepalm Movie Reviews And Other Pointless Shit it is from the NES game
I love all the Bill Maher reference. Great Job Brad !
That was a funny roast of the theater showing geostorm with a bunch of people hanging themselves
This film is my favorite ELM STREET movie and one of my favorite horror films of all time. But yeah, this movie is pretty funny!
This is my favorite of the Elm Street movies
"Kool-Aid Man, what are YOU doing here?!" Wow, that's one of the riskiest jokes you've done in a while on this show, Brad. A+!
Literally just watched Cinemassacre's nightmare series review and was wondering when you'd release your review for part 3, what a pleasant surprise!
YESS I KNEW THIS WAS COMING I'M SO EXCITED! Also I appreciate the Carrie reference, I was hoping there'd be one as soon as I saw Priscilla Pointer.
Strangely enough he left out a good bashing of Dallas, in which she also played and had a whole effing dream season, he could have joked Freddie killed Katherine to exact revenge on Pamela's mother
"So that's it? What? We some kinda Dream Warriors?"
In my dream, I fly around in the TARDIS
ROLL CREDITS!!!
"is this the real life, is this just fantasy"
Holy s*&% Bradney! What a nice surprise!
Awesome. Brings back those warm and fuzzy childhood memories.
Omfg I'm ridiculously excited right now
Into the fire! I'm falling! \m/
Best Elm Street movie, awesome Brad!
Well that instantly makes my day, thank you so much brad!!
Glad to finally see you cover the best Nightmare on Elm street movie.
Excellent as always. Have had a terrible week due to my mother being in hospital. Thank-you Snob/Brad for making me feel better + making me laugh. You never fail or let me down. Long live the Cinema Snob !!!.....
paul nash I hope your Mum gets better X
Yes!! Thank you!
Jail
2:54 Smash cut to:
He's back! The man behind the mask!
You know I never got the "jail" thing. What was the joke? I dont get it. Anyone who's answering please don't just tell me to watch the original episode where he said it. I've seen it and I still don't get it. So can someone explain the joke?
@@adiahaalexander9359 It was an editing mistake which has now become an ongoing joke.
@@SomeIdiota ooh ty
@@adiahaalexander9359 what was the original episode? I can't find it
i love all the subtle blue velvet references you always make
Saw the Blue velvet quick clip & Reference. Will we ever get a cinema snob blue velvet 1986 Review??!
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors is the frickin' most absolute best in the entire series, hands down without a doubt...🙌🏽💯✔️ I love this flick the most outta any single entry in the franchise...❤️
Hats off to you, Cinema Snob! You’re truly the only reviewer that can make fun of a GOOD movie, and the review be as funny as when you’re reviewing awful ones.
Oh my! When he knocks on his crotch!
Interesting factoid - Chuck Russel was hired for The Mask specifically because he had directed Dream Warriors. Indeed, the original plan for The Mask was for it to be a gory dark comedy, like the comic was. But after Ruseel was hired and started working on the movie, him and his team slowly shifted the tone of the movie to what we finally got - a movie that is very different from its source material, yet still very good on its own right.
I normally have no problem with gore, but there's always been something about that puppet scene that makes me so freaking squeamish.
Konstance Miles Almost the same here.
Probably the main death in the series that actually disturbs me.
I think a big part of it, for me at least, is how drawn out it is. Most of the others are usually quick, but no, this guy pretty much gets tortured beforehand.
Konstance Miles same
I think anytime a death approaches body horror it becomes more unsettling. I'd rather be stabbed or slashed than have my tendons ripped out.
The uncut dinner scene from part 5 is pretty fucking gross too.
30 years ago...?! God damn I'm fucking old as shit.
Welcome to the club, hon...

Right there with you
Right there with you
New Snob?! I am on the moon happy! Love the Snob, keep up the "killer" work. PUNS!
Pray, dare I hope for a "Prince of Darkness" review by the beloved Cinema Snob? :) Wouldn't that be a Halloween treat!
Snob’s version of Elm Street 4 is WAY better.
Was Geostorm that bad? I haven't got to see the Midnight Screening vid of it yet.
The first time I saw this was when I was 10 years old, about 33 years ago. When it got to the scene where the tricycle rolls in by itself trailing blood I got so scared I turned the movie off and didn't watch another Nightmare on Elm Street movie for 5 or 6 years. It was the last time I got scared from a movie. To this day it is still my favorite of the series.
Just found you're channel from nostalgia critic...you're great man!!
Keep up the good work!!
Haha, love it. This was the first nightmare on elm street movie that I watched in full, as a kid, was probably 7 yrs old. I was seriously freaked out by the vein puppet. Years later I rewatched it and realized how extremely bad this movie is. 4 is worse, resurrecting Freddy with dog urine, but thanks for finally reviewing part 3. Most of the flicks you review I’ve seen, so your commentary enhances them for me. Keep up the great work 😝
If Brad reviews Friday the 13th every friday the 13th, and Halloween every Halloween... Does he review Nightmare on Elm Street every time he's had a bad dream? XD
CookieMastah He only has bad dreams.
Mr Skellow
My guess is scream "Thank god, it's finally over!"
But by the time we get there, there will probably be four more reboots at least.
So every time he has to watch a Madea movie, we get an Elm Street review?
I saw this movie in the theater (with my mother) when I was 10 years old.
Later on, when it hit video stores, my very same mother scored me a bootleg copy of it.
It had the music video for Dokken's "Dream Warriors" at the end. 😁🎶
Even wilder than the Dick Cavett and Zsa Zsa Gabor credit to me is seeing Rachel Talalay as a producer. She directed movies like Tank Girl and several episodes of The Flash, Riverdale and Doctor Who! She’s had an interesting career.
Even she came to regret the direction she took with Final Nightmare and admitted going the comedy route was a mistake.
Horror Sequels like Dream Warriors, Return of Michael Myers, Jason Lives, and Child's Play 2 are the BEST.
Call him Dr. William Maher. Nobody likes a doctor bill... ;)

Hahahahaha
Perfect
Vinessa Shaw in "Eyes Wide Shut" did.
I worked in room service back in
2008 during Monster Mania. I delivered Robert E. And Penelope Sudrow. She was strange. When she opened the door for me. She used me as a shield every time a guest walked by. And asked me if Cherry Hill, NJ was a safe town.
"It was when she was much tinier" Oh holy night! That got a huge laugh out of me!
This month Snob has reviewed a Jason movie, a Micheal Myers movie, a Freddy movie, AND an Medea movie...
Who is the REAL serial killing monster? You decide!
.... it's Medea, though :(
This fucking movie was the first horror movie I ever saw back in the 80s. Every time I watch it it brings me back to those early memories of being traumatized by Freddy and the creepy atmosphere and visuals of that movie. It may not seem like much nowadays but for a 7 or 8 years old kid back in the day, this movie was a pure freakish nightmare. And I loved it.
Yessssss! Thank you for this!

I seriously love this movie.
This is my favorite Elm Street Movie! As weird as i remember!

FINALLY! This is gonna be good.
Please tell us that "Will it Fit" and/or Phelous's "Old Man" will make a brief background cameo in an episode of "Lloyd" sometime
Maybe if there's a case of lost items that ended fitting ? :p
Okay, these videos are hilariously great! I stumbled on your Freddy's Revenge video randomly when it showed up in my recommended list & have been watching a lot of these videos this evening & cracking up. Great content, got a new subscriber as well! Can't wait to see how you feel about parts 4 & 5, especially 6 haha.
snob is the snark master of 2017
your videos are so good and funny! thank you for all of your hard work!
I like to think that the holy water was still about 1\3rd to half booze and that's why the flaming dog piss brings him back xD
This is my favorite of the series just because it’s so silly. Robert Englund just gives it all 😊
My favorite of the series.
“You were talking to an invisible nun, it kinda matters”
Thanks I had water in my mouth.
So excited!!!
my favorite film in the series (besides the original of course)!!!!!
