Love your channel, my children love my blankets. I don't do anything without looking at your tutorials first. Thanks I think your work is amazing. I love crochet more now that I found you. God bless you and your family, please be safe.
I used this edge to go around the first baby blanket I made and it's perfect! So simple and it looks beautiful and elegant. I love your videos, they're easy to follow and I always love the colors so much. :)
Thank you so much! I crocheted a granny square pillow which my gran has helped me sew and now, using this lovely tutorial I am able to add a nice border to it. I am giving it as a present to my mom. Thanx xoxo
You explain how to do the Triple Picot so clearly, this will be a perfect finish for the blanket I'm crocheting for my daughter whose expecting twins in April this year. As they say I'll be back - Thanks :)
LOVE LOVE LOVE your tutorials! Very easy to follow and I love the camera angle so I can see exactly what you are doing. I'm self teaching so this is great!
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it was so easy to follow. I have used quite a few of your tutorials in the past and have enjoyed success with all of them. Thanks once again
thanks for this! I like it because it looks like flower petals. btw, I didn't chain 4, instead I have done slip stitches for the space between the picots. looks awesome on my project. much love and thanks again :)
I've used this border several times, everyone always loves it! Thank you 💗 your tutorials are always so clear and easy to follow! My first project was a granny blanket from one of your videos! You rock
thank you soo much for your uk tutuorial, american double croctet that are trebles wrecking my head, your instruction are clear, by the way , to pronounce picot its like crochet do not pronounce the t on the end it is french so its picoo and the t is silent thanks so much
Thank you again for another wonderful tutorial. The border is beautiful. You are such a good instructor..... although I could just sit and listen to your voice and be happy for it. 😄
Hi I'm Shannen and I love ur videos. I'm only 14 but I've seen the crocheted blankets my great gran made and I thought I would give it a go and it was a great choice cause I love it. It's soo calming and relaxing. Right now I'm doing the shell edging on a blanket I'm making for my bed so I'm cosy in winter. Xx
You're using the colors I love... purple. XD I was looking for an edging for a blanket, since I was running out of fun ones to do. This'll work nicely, thanks for the tutorial!
Hiya, I'd like to put this on a pentagon colar. I was wondering if you might know whether I'd need a certain amount of base stitches, to make it sight right in each of the corners of the pentagon shapes please?
The base stitches need to be worked in a multiple of six, with three DC (UK terms) worked into each corner, but don't worry if you don't end up with the exact amount as it's easy to adjust by skipping one or more stitches as you work the border 🙂
I love this border and I love your tutorials. They are always very clear and easy to follow. I have made several things off your videos. I put this border on a lovie I am making it turned out really cool kind of lacy and big. It looks nothing like yours though. Yours is neat and flat and smaller. Any ideas on what I might do differently next time to make it look more like yours? Again, I LOVE your videos!!
I figured out what I did wrong. I was making a single stitch between each five chain instead of a slip stitch. Now it looks like yours, but I like the lacy of the my first one too so I have two choices depending on what it is going on.
Hi Bella Coco! I must say I learnt to crochet from you. I started last October when I wanted to make something for my baby due in April. I have successfully done quite a few granny squares (from your tutorial) and a whole blanket from written instructions off a different website too. So, thank you for making the crochet world look so easy. I want to use this picot as border for a dress I am making. Question is: The stitches on the dress is all hdc (US) so I believe they are similar to the border you create here. But, how can I make a picot border without getting that flappy piece in between? Start the picot at the edge and SC (US) in the place of five stitches you are skipping?
My picots kept ruffling along the edge. Although it still looks great, its just not the look I was going for. Any suggestions on how to fix this please?
What a gorgeous border/ edging ...I will definitely be trying this out!! Thanks for sharing 😀 I was wondering if you know of any doggy jumper patterns ? I have a teeny chihuahua and would love to make him something cosy for this winter. Love your work 😉 x
Coco i love your ideas and i will try to make a blanket this summer ,but how much i'll need for making it , how much materièl? My english is so bad sorry and thnks again :)
Hi Sondra I have a tutorial on how to crochet a straight edge on a ripple blanket, maybe you could do this then the picot border would work. Here is the link ua-cam.com/video/RBa5WbPXPBk/v-deo.html :)
Hey Ms. Bella Coco! Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us on how to do the triple picot. I love the colors that you have used in your granny square ( I am a purple lover :] ) very beautiful. How many stitches in your foundation for the piece (the granny square) that you had used in this demo? That is a really cute concept and color scheme :D Cheers mate ;D
Thank you for I did fine the granny stripe tutorial :) I have notice that you favor the granny stitch a lot :) When I had taught myself how to do this stitch, it had became one of my favorites next to the afghan stitch (another beautiful design).
Thank you for providing us with this great video tutorial. I really like the yarn you are using in this demonstration. It looks like a cotton or possibly a cotton mix. Would you mind telling me what the brand make is plz! :)
I love your videos. You are adorable and your creations are lovely. And 'picot' is a French word meaning 'to prick' of all things! You pronounce it pee-koe like the tea. ;)
Great tutorial! But the stitch just wads up and curls. It doesn't look very pretty at all when done with classic Red Heart Super Saver and a size 9 hook.
While I appreciate you doing a foundation of single crochet to get to the picot stitch - but to show doing the single crochet to FINALLY get to the picot stitch, I want to see the stitch long before you got to it - a waste of time - I am going to another video.
I wouldn't call it a waste of time (kinda harsh) but I get your point and agree. A simple "sc around" would have sufficed. I think this was more of a tutorial for beginners
you can skip ahead if you dont need to learn how to place the stitches for the first row of edging. just like you can pause and skip back if you need to hear and see the instructions again!
+Mildred Colburn Really? Because I went to see your channel and there are no videos to prove your claim. Bella Coco does a great job, which is evident by the number of subscribers and likes on her videos. You apparently just make sad attempts at getting people's attention with rude and unsubstantiated comments.

Thank you for teaching us this triple picot it is making the twin blanket I made look victorian and I just love it.
Foundation row: Sc all around. Pattern row * (sc, ch5) x3 , sc, into same stitch. ch4 skip5*. Slip stitch to the first sc.
you explain everything so well. much better than studying a pattern with instructions. thank you.
Thank you so much for this tutorial, it was so easy to follow. I have used quite a few of your tutorials in the past and have enjoyed success with all of them. Thanks once again

I’ve slip stitched too.
Thank you 😊 so pleased with what I've learnt. I gave up the other week and thought I would persevere xx
I'm so glad that you didn't give up as crochet is all about practice and patience :)
I used this edge on a poncho, and it was amazing. Thanks for posting this.
You are very welcome :)
Thank you so much! I liked the triple picots to be a bit closer together, so I chained 2 in stead of 4, which also turned out great!
Glad you were able to adapt to what you needed :)

Are you using a smaller hook size and yarn weight for the border than you used on the blanket?
Another great video tutorial. Thank you so much.

Grant Austin that’s what I thought too but I think it would be okay with a smaller needle.

In case anyone was wondering, I don't reeccomend this with chunky yarn lol doesn't look as good at all.
