This was so helpful to add edge to scarf! I tweaked it a bit to work for the pattern and i did get one extra picot on one end but I don't think my 82 year old Aunt will notice.. but maybe she will. It is the finish that looks so beautiful...side note.. after a long journey of dna etc I found this Aunt 3 years ago and its surreal to be gifting her a scarf. I did meet her mother (my grandmother) when I was 8! So sometimes life just comes around full circle.❤
Added this picot to my granddaughter's shrug crochete using 'Paint Party' yarn. It looks like the tips of tiny paint brushes peeking out, all around the cuffs and shawl collar - perfect!
I'm dumbfounded.😲 I've been trying to find the best way to picot because I absolutely dread doing them. I've never seen this method and I'm loving it! Now I'm not dreading the hundreds of picots I'm about to do. Thank you so very much ❣️
@@AmandaCrochets I wish I could show you how much better my picots are now from before. I’ve been doing picots for years but they never lived up to my standards. Your method makes them look so polished and uniform! I just can’t thank you enough❣️
Thanks for this tutorial. I finished a sleeveless cardigan yesterday. I don't have a border for it, so decided to use a contrast color & do a peko edging on it, around the sleeves and the collar.
I love this. When I first saw it I thought it would be to hard for me. But, after watching and you going nice a slow I can do it. Thank you for sharing it! 😀
Hi, may I ask what to do at the corner (the last stitch of each side) if I reach there with a "picot" stitch? Should I keep making 2 more SCs in that same corner stitch?
When making the picot border, you will continue the pattern around your entire project. You don't have to do anything different for the corners. When you reach the corners, you will continue making the single crochet stitches and chains. Sometimes the picot stitch will be right in the corner stitch and other times you will have a picot on either side of the corner. That's how it works up for me anyway. Hope that helps!

I ususlly get caron big cakes because it iss so smooth why is some of the yarn so rough looking?
