I can't imagine how this tutorial could have got 369 thumbs down?? I'm getting back into crochet after decades and found it so helpful as Blossom always is ❤
I just wanted to thank you for being an amazing teacher & for sharing all of these amazing videos! Please don’t stop making them…. I go to your channel many times in a week.
Love this simple, pretty border. I am a knitter and want to embellish a baby blanket with a border. Since I’m not an accomplished crocheter, I need something easy. This edging is perfect. I love how often you repeat the stitches so they are easy to copy. Thank you so much for your time and effort to make this tutorial!
Blossom crochet has taught me everything I know. Thanks to these tutorials, I kept sane during lockdown and now my imagination is running wild. If anyone asks how to crochet then I always refer them here. Thank you. I have found fellow crafters to be so kind. The trolls clearly aren't part of our caring community
This was so easy to follow - great finish. Who the heck are the 164 who didn't like this video? Your instructions are so easy to follow and your voice very clear...I like great borders for a project. Thanks and I have just subscribed.
It's so pretty. It looks so complicated and intricate but is actually so easy. I love the way it goes around the corners so easily. Thank you for this great tutorial.
Love this border. I'm a beginner. Been crocheting for about 4 months. Started with a blanket for a friend's new baby. This border was easy to understand and follow. The tutorial was slow enough to grasp. Thank you.
Thank you for the tutorial! I decided I wanted a bit more fancy for a baby blanket I made. So, I crocheted this stitch in the stitches that were skipped right behind it as well. It made both sides like look like a front side. And, it created a beautiful lacey ruffle. I can't wait to give them the blanket. Thank you for the easy to follow directions.
My Auntie taught me to crochet when I was 4 years old back in 1947 and I have always felt a responsibility to teach it to others. Unfortunately my nieces and grandchildren didnt take to it and preferred to make pompoms. You cant imagine what a relief it is to me to know that UA-cam videos are now teaching everyone. I particularly like this edging which I havent seen before and really value the instructions in UK terms. The close up camera and clear demonstration is wonderful. thank you.
I needed a quick border for a neckline of a sweater and didn't have time for any ribbing (literally I had 20min) This totally saved the day and I think it actually might look nicer than the ribbing would have for that particular design! Thanks so much!
I am very new to crochet, actually just started one week ago, and found this very helpful and an easy stitch for me to do. I’ve been crocheting around fleece throws for project Linus, I don’t like the cut fringe, and needed an easy Stitch to finish off the edge. Your explanation was excellent and for people like me I need a slow teaching method. So I have no complaints about how long it took you to do anything. Slow and steady win the race in my book. I could follow you very easily. Thank you for the video.
Why would anyone give this a thumbs down? This tutorial is great, i followed it and did a nice border on a doll blanket for an old lady at the nursing home i work at. She has a doll called Fiona, and i made some items for her. This is a nice, easy to follow tute. People are so rude! Thankyou for this tutorial 💓 😊😊
Thank you so much for this great video! I, like a few others commented, am crocheting again after many years. This border pattern is so simple, but yet beautiful. I am new to your channel, but I think you are my new favorite! I was able to follow your teaching. Making a baby blanket for a baby shower. 🩷
Just taught myself how to crochet a week ago, with a month to Christmas and already made three scarves and working on a blanket for presents and this border is SO HELPFUL for me, especially for the blanket! Thank you so much!!!
Thank you so very much!! I have not crocheted since I was an adolescent. I am now 64 and wanted to learn again. I watched this video and another of yours and that’s all I needed! My first project was a king size bed spread! Thanks to your great instruction, it came out beautiful. I love this bordering, which is what I chose. My daughter now wants me to make a spread for her. Thank you...you’re a doll!
Thank you! That was just the crochet border I was looking for. I made a small washcloth for myself and it just needed something extra. Your instruction was very clear. Thanks again!!
This tutorial made my day! I’m finishing my first ever baby blanket and wanted a simple and yarn conserving border. This looks wonderful on my blanket. Thank You!
I have just picked up crocheting a month ago, I found out I was going to be a grandma for the first time, and decided it was time to learn. Your videos have been INSTRUMENTAL in my new adventure and so far I have made 5 baby Blankets , 2 beanies, and today I learned this easy to do border for my blankets ! THANK YOU SO MUCH ! for your easy to follow instructions !! I'm LOVING crochet and I cant wait to try new things!! XOXOX
Just finished the crochet edge on both my blankets, 10 months in the making. Your border was the first thing that I had ever done using crochet. I will look into another project soon. Thanks for showing me how, I am a proud left handed craft person.
I’ve just started crochet and I could’ve easily given up if it wasn’t for finding your channel I’m going to feel proud of my first project that is also a gift, makes it look so much more advanced. Everyone I know is amazed at my progress and are keen them selves after seeing your fantastic tutorials. The best I’ve found for all the reasons mentioned. Thank you 😊 I can finally say I can crochet now thanks to you 😊
Awesome! I have been crocheting a drunken granny blanket for months and the last thing I wanted to do is get wrapped up in a lengthy border! I’m so happy to see that I can add a border in less than an hour and finally be FINISHED. 😁 Also, this should look very nice with the “shell-like” stitches in my blanket.
Thank you so much for this tutorial. I knitted a baby blanket but wanted to add some sort of border. I don't know how to crochet but your step by step instructions and visuals are amazing! Going to give this a try!
I'm a beginner but I did just a normal blanket and followed you with this border its turned out fantastic thank you so much you dont know how much confidence it has given thank you very much 😊😊
The video tutorial was easy to follow. This is the first time I used this border. It was easy and added a simple but cute edging to the baby blanket I made. Thank you for your tutorial.
just dropping you a note to let you know i ended up saving this video for reference, I used it again today to add a frilly border on a dress and the sleeves of a dress for a baby girl. It is so cute. now to finish the Lapel and i will be done. I am running short on yarn to do what i had wanted to do so this tutorial has saved me again LOL
Thank you. I was running out of time & needed to finish the border of my project real fast & your tutorial was a God send Thank you. It was fast & easy for a beginner like me.
Wonderful tutorial!! I am a beginner to crochet and I am working on a blanket for my daughter. I really wanted a border around it but was afraid to try. Your tutorial was great! I feel that I can do it now to add just the right finishing touch. Thank you SO much!!
Hi Joan, Thank you so much for leaving such a lovely comment! I am so happy to hear that this tutorial was useful for you... We were all beginners once, I am still learning myself... The whole point of my channel was to hopefully share tutorials that would be confidence building for beginners :)
Thank you for showing this, I've not long learned how to do granny squares & was asked to make a little dolls pram blanket & I used this tutorial to finish it off & I was well chuffed with it 😊❤
New to UA-cam and crochet. Found your video and are now doing a crochet edge on my two hand knitted blankets. Your video was excellent, with very clear instructions. The best part was I could see exactly what you were doing so that I could replicate, I am left handed so this was important to me. I hope to have these blankets finished for the Aussie Winter. Thanks again.
i just love your tutorials. Your voice is charming and being a beginner crocheter your slow way of explaining what you're doing really helps me. Thank you so much for being there!
Thanks..a super border even with blanket yarn...I am making 7 for grandkids! For boys blankets I will chain only 2 to give a little zip to the blanket, not so frilly... rather than straight single crochet around. Soooo glad to have this edging pattern!
Thanks so much for this tutorial! It's easy to understand and crochet and turns out beautifully every time I do it. I have used it on several dog sweaters and a scarf and will continue to use it!
Thanks so much for this tutorial. It's proof that simple things are quite often the best, & I look forward to adding this trim to a C2C baby blanket that I'm making. I wasn't even looking for a trim pattern, but I saw the ad for your video on the right side of another video & decided to check it out. I'm glad that I did! :) I just have to remind myself that when you say "double crochet," it's single for me here in Canada, as we usually go by the US terms. It was good of you to put that in your tutorial, that DC in the UK is SC here in North America. Not everyone does that, & it can add confusion for people unaware of the discrepancies in the terms. You sound so much like Anna from "Downton Abbey" (she's one of my favourites on that show) that I'm picturing her giving this tutorial. :) Thanks again! I look forward to checking out more of your videos.
I loved this. So easy and pretty, even for a raw beginner like me. I especially liked the clever hack at the end for how to get around that extra stitch, and the neat finish when pulling the yarn down at the end. Thank you! ❤
Thank you for sharing this tutorial. This is easy to understand and follow. I've been stressed trying to finish this blanket. I'm new to crocheting. Thanks a bunch.
I love the tutorial! You have your hands out of the way so we can see what you are doing, use colors that are easy to see, go slow so that we can keep us and don't move your hands around all of the time and putting them in the way! Wonderful! Am looking so forward to seeing lots more! Yes, I also like the way you make sure people know the difference in the name of the stitch between the different countries. :) Very well done! I am looking for a crochet pattern for a triangle shawl that is VERY easy to make and to follow along. One what looks a little lacy and doesn't take up lots of yarn. 56-60" wing span and 26-30" long. Approximation on size. It is for the church to give away and I would like for it to look nice. Right now I have done a c2c, that takes a lot of yarn, but your border would really set it off. I am doing just a double stitch triangle now, but it too is more work than what I want to put into it. I do want it to look full, but elegant. (lol I want a lot don't I! :)
Hello 😀 I am an absolute beginner to crochet having just started in lockdown. I must say I really love it even though I find it quite difficult to do sometimes. Have only just about mastered doing a foundation chain so it's neither too loose or too tight. It still takes me a few tries before all the stitches look equal in size. I have completed a cuddle blanket in lemon chunky knit for my 10 year old Granddaughter's bed. It was done in double stitch and turned out really well for my first piece of work, even though I say it myself! Now I'm three quarters of the way through a baby blanket using your railtrack pattern which is so pretty and neat. I wanted to do a border around it but was too apprehensive to try. However, after just viewing this simple edging I've decided to give it a go! 😀 Your tutorials are really good, you explain everything so thoroughly, they are a pleasure to watch! I have subscribed to your channel because I'm very pleased I found you! 😀 Thank you
Hello Blossom Crochet : I finished off my daughters dog blanket for his little bed... I used your boarder to finish off , with a small butterfly in the corner... It actually turned out better than i thought it would.. Thank you so much for making this easy and simple tutorial... Sincerely , Beth Smallridge from Canada....
Because I am working with really terrible yarn, I ended up doing a SC instead of a slip-stitch because my yarn is splitting like mad! It still looks simple but elegant too xx This was the perfect little edging that my tiny owl needed on her skirt. Thank you for sharing this with us all xx
I am very new to crochet, in fact I made half a scarf in single crochet and stopped, counting is not my strong suit. But then my mom introduced me to Tunisian crochet and I have been in love since. Through a UA-cam rabbit hole I found you and am beginning to think maybe I can do it. Your instructions are clear and not rushed. I actually did a baby blanket in Tunisian crochet and was looking for an easy border, saw this one and Bingo! The only change I made, by a happy accident, was a single crochet instead of a slip stitch after the chain 3s, It seemed to make it stand out a bit more but maybe its just my perception. Or the effect could have been from my chains getting a bit more loose as I gained a bit of confidence. Anyway, I only tried it on a sample, but it is a beautiful border. Thank you for the videos. 😁
I was looking for a pretty crochet border for my loom knit blanket and I found yours. It is perfect! Simple, feminine and your video is clear and easy to follow. Just lovely! Thank you!
Thanks a lot, i am a loomer and on the kb afghan loom doing a double bed blanket and i have not put a border on as i wanted to crochet a border and am fairly new to crocheting and this is the rim i was looming and i always keep scrap pieces i try out on and this is so simple, tyvm x
It's great that you used thicker yarn for the video, so much easier to see! You really explain things very well for those of us that are newer to crocheting. Great job! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm a mediocre at crocheting, I know a few stitches. Your frilly trim turned my latest blanket from blah to beautiful!
I did 2 today..I look forward to all your tutorials..I love your calm voice..accent etc:)If ever you do half double crochet dishcloths I will follow! Thanks again!..Monique
Thank you! I don’t crochet and I wanted to do a cute edge on a knitted scarf that was supposed to have a cast on with two colors. I didn’t like how messy it looked, so doing just the second scalloped part to make a cute, thin border in a different color was exactly what I needed!
Thank you for the simple beautiful border stitch. I found this when looking for a nice border to add to a baby blanket I'm making (for Granddaughter due in December) out of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn . I made the blanket pretty chunky with a double crochet stitch and a P size hook. I was challenged by which border to use with the chunky pattern. I used your tutorial to make the border and it turned out super nice and pretty. Your tutorial was very easy to follow. Thank you for your help.
I love your Chanel and the crocheting you show us just making the gray and white cloud ☁️ blanket it so scrumptious and is for my new gran child .am sure my daughter will love 💖 it thank you 🙏 xxxx
I just finished making a row by row granny stitch baby blanket and I was looking for a simple, but pretty border for it. I came across this tutorial and it's perfect! Thank you! Blessings all!!!!! 💜💜
As a new subscriber, I have to say that you make this easy to understand. I have not crocheted in many years. I am so glad to have found your channel. Thanks for teaching this old dog some new tricks! 😁👍💚
I liked it and so much easy described very clearly.I saw so many videos but I followed u .my blanket looks great as I had multicolour baby blanket wool.
I really loved the pink blanket that was shown and I am very interested in that stitch. I make a couple of very large crochet blankets, each year...I finished one last week and handed it to the Australian Red Cross to help families in need. Currently, I am in the process of finishing a very chunky and very large blanket. I've used eight ply wool and its gorgeous (even if I do say so, myself). I am looking forward to donating this latest one to a family in need, too.
Blossom Crochet , I’ve just finished a large blanket that I used 12 ply wool on. It’s huge, it’s thick, it’s fluffy and it’s heavy. I’m very proud of my latest blanket and I’ll be donating it to the Australian Red Cross, this week. I used 10 balls of wool, 300 metres each ball. Someone, out there.... is going to be toasty warm. 🐑 🐑🐑
Thank you 100 times over!!!! You are my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE on UA-cam and I visit your page frequently for inspiration. This was the perfect border for the blanket I made for my niece! I just followed your IG and will look you up on FB. Do you also have a blog? Don’t EVER stop your tutorials- they’re clear, concise and wonderful! You are a great teacher!
I can't imagine how this tutorial could have got 369 thumbs down?? I'm getting back into crochet after decades and found it so helpful as Blossom always is ❤
Probably from people who suck at crocheting. Or people who are all thumbs.
Love this border 💙 ❤ just used it on a blanket l finished this 🌄 Thank you and have a blest day.

because it took 5 minutes to get to the part which could've been explained in 10 seconds
I just wanted to thank you for being an amazing teacher & for sharing all of these amazing videos! Please don’t stop making them…. I go to your channel many times in a week.
Just used this frill around a baby blanket. My edges weren't perfect but they are now! Thank you, thank you, thank you 🤗
I’m so glad it worked so well for you! 🌸

I am relatively new to crochet. This is the first border I've ever worked on to a blanket! Thanks for a great tutorial! So easy and pretty!
That’s wonderful to hear! 🌸
Me too! My first time to add a border to a baby blanket, and this simple frill was the perfect way to complete the look. Thank you so much! :)
Me as well. Love this border!
That sounds wonderful! I’m so glad it worked out so well for your lovely sweater 🥰
Been there and have that sweater! Great instructor very clear and easy to follow. Glad I found your channel.😊
However, after just viewing this simple edging I've decided to give it a go! 😀 Your tutorials are really good, you explain everything so thoroughly, they are a pleasure to watch! I have subscribed to your channel because I'm very pleased I found you! 😀 Thank you
I am a beginner. Thank you for such a simple and beautiful border.
Very easy to follow. I absolutely love your accent! Thanks so much for sharing.
That sounds wonderful! ❤️
Because I am working with really terrible yarn, I ended up doing a SC instead of a slip-stitch because my yarn is splitting like mad! It still looks simple but elegant too xx This was the perfect little edging that my tiny owl needed on her skirt. Thank you for sharing this with us all xx
Thank you for this video, I am finishing a project and this is absolutely prefect for the finishing touch. You are a good person, thank you again.

Very clear instructions and easy to follow. Thank you. I used this to trim a ear warmer.
Thank you!

Thank you! I don’t crochet and I wanted to do a cute edge on a knitted scarf that was supposed to have a cast on with two colors. I didn’t like how messy it looked, so doing just the second scalloped part to make a cute, thin border in a different color was exactly what I needed!
This was easy n helpful out of the the others tutorials. Gonna finish off my scarf now
So glad you found it helpful 🌸
Thank you for this! So helpful and a very pretty border that even a beginner like me can do.
You are so welcome! I’m so glad you liked it 🌸
I’m a big inner and this was brilliant for me. Thank you
Thank you for the simple beautiful border stitch.

How lovely! The pink blanket is a Corner to Corner blanket :)
Lovely! I have always wished that I knew how to do a simple but pretty edging especially for baby blankets. Thank you so much☺️
You’re welcome! 🌸
