I done this finish edging when I was 13years old 48 years ago can't believe it's still exists always loved doing crocheting and knitting keep up the good work and keep smiling love all the way . from 🇬🇧
I really like this border. It is so pretty! It seems so easy as well. I am going to use it for a baby blanket I am making. Can't wait to see the finished product!! Thank you!
I've so enjoyed watching these tutorials. I was looking for a nice border to finish off a large afghan and decided on the shell one. Watching your video and practicing a few, I feel like a pro! I have not been able to understand written instructions, so your videos are paced just right (for me!) Thank you!!!
I just found this border earlier this evening and decided that I would use it for my queen size blanket. It’s working up beautifully and I just love it. Great tutorial with and easy to follow explanation!
I was looking for a picot edge tutorial as I always forget how to do them, and then I came across this one. I've never seen a triple picot edge before (pronounced "picoh"!!!), and I think it looks amazing, so that's how I'm going to edge my Grannie square lap blanket that I have almost finished. Thanks for sharing - I do like crochet, but I'm not very good at following patterns, so tutorials are definitely the way for me to go. 😊
Love this Picot border, first one I've seen that looks easy and perfect me. I'm going to put it on some of my blankets to finish them off. Many thanks again for another fab pattern.. Take care.. 🐦
According to what I've ever learned from 40 years ago, those are Not picot stitches....those are chains looped back on themselves. A Picot, according to what I've learned, is a chain of 3 into which a sl st is then inserted into the first chain made, and the resulting "bump" is the picot. There are different ways of incorporating a picot into a border....sometimes I've made a chain of 5, into which I go to the 3rd ch from hook, do a sl st, then I'll ch 2, and add it to a border....those extra 2 chains center the picot onto the edge. Thank you for this beautiful edging! I'm going to try it! Crochetingly yours! Shalom! 🧶🧶🧶
Very good tutorial. Thanks for being so clear on the difference between American and UK. I liked the way you set up the first row all the way around, I get snarled on the sides at times.
Thanks so much for showing it. I was looking for a nice edging for my scarf and this is easy and fast. I'll be using this a lot. Always looking forward to getting your new tutorials. Thanks so much for doing them . YOU ARE AWESOME!
So quick and easy, yet makes a great finish for a baby blanket. Next time I think I’ll add a couple stitches to the middle picot just to make it stick out a little more.
i love the picot edging - however I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW HOW YOU DO THE STICK THAT COMES DOWN INTO THE STICH - PLEASE I WANT TO USE BOTH IT'S FOR MY GRANY GRANTSON -FIRST ONE IN THE FAMILY
Very pretty! In our part of the US we pronounce it "peekoh" not that it makes any difference. It may be different in the U.K. Thanks for tutorial. Great option!
Thank you. It is simple yet effective. What method of blocking do you prefer when you have finished your work? I was only recently told it exists, so I have never block pressed mine (just press with a cloth between the steam iron and crochet) but would like to try as I noticed your sample looked so different to your worked piece. Lesley:)
Hi Lesley, I don't personally block my larger work, I only block things like grannie squares / triangles etc so that they're a uniform size for stitching together... I use a wooden board with wooden dowels. :)
@Blossom Crochet could I just ask would it be easier doing the single crochet inbetween the groups of 3 double on the other side rather than struggling to find the stitches ? If you could possibly let me know if this would be ok please ?
Who cares what you call it! It is a silent "t", but frankly I'd watch you if you were simple unwinding yarn!🤣🤣🤣. As someone has said before me, you are an Awesome teacher! Love the border! Stella
@@BlossomCrochet if you finish with the right amount of stitches where would I finish and tie off would I still slip stitch to where I started my picot stitch ?
Hi from NYC! If you were using a heavier weight yarn like worsted or Aran weight, would you still chain 5 for the picots, or what would you suggest? :)
There is no debate on how to pronounce picot. Doesn't matter where you come from, how people around you are pronouncing it or whether there is an r in the month. It's "peekoh " French word meaning small point or peak,

Love your video on this stitch have not seen this before, have you a written pattern? Thanks

Well I thought 'peekoh' too but everyone I know keep saying 'peecot'! I should add a disclaimer at the beginning to excuse it! :)
Blossom Crochet no, I'm Welsh and live in Australia and in both places it was pronounced peekoh as well. 😊
Allow me to tell you why pico and not picote..?because in French we write it picot and dont pronounce the t it is silent
THIS IS SO PRETTY THANKS
I LOVE THIS. MANY THANKS.
if you chain 4 then skip 5 and slip into the 6th stitch, won't this pucker the edge a bit?
Love this border thank you!!!
Very Pretty!

Blossom Crochet Mmmmmm that's a relief for larger pieces. Do you have a video showing how for smaller items?
Hi Lesley, I don't have a video currently, but it's a really good idea to do one, thanks for the suggestion!
@Blossom Crochet could I just ask would it be easier doing the single crochet inbetween the groups of 3 double on the other side rather than struggling to find the stitches ? If you could possibly let me know if this would be ok please ?
Super easy and cute.
It's a silent T making it peeko. But simple and pretty. Making a blanket for my great nephew who was born this morning on September 14 2022
Great job 💜🍀💜
Great video,thank you

This is so beautiful and your tutorial makes it so easy to follow thank you 😘 Btw Picot is pronounced *pee-coe (sounds like toe 🦶🏻) x
👍

Corner to corner baby blanket
Perfect
"pea-KOH' " --French word :-)
Beautiful th for sharing

you should start with the picot at first, not showing us how to make sc all along. its making your video so boring. just saying.
maybe learn how to fast forward? your comment was so unnecessary
