- The best way to stop wasting money on those smoker pucks is by using pellets. From 2 dollars per hour down to pennies per hour.

Guy almost lost an eye to save money. Gees.
I have all the equipment for your project but if it were me I think I would just go to Canadian Tire or any other auto supply and buy a short piece of 2 or 2 1/2 inch exhaust pipe and cut them. All you need is a hack saw, band saw or sawzall and Bobs your uncle your done in a few minutes and you can cut as many as your heart desires.
Incredible idea. I might just do that
Btw, Bob really is my uncle
Nice! Shall try this method:)
Bradley sells empty rings to use in between regular pucks. Why couldn't you use them?
this guy just reinvented the wheel - ill pass
Do not understand how that will work.
Show us the cykle with timelapse
Appreciate the effort, but for me it's significantly easier just to buy the pucks than to gather all this equipment and do this...😂😂
You don’t need everything if you can mciver
My time is worth a whole lot more than a few bucks an hr
I've made solid wood pucks, bisquettes and they work. Make sure the wood is very dry. I used a hole saw in a drill press. The internal diameter of the hole saw was very close to the 57 mm diameter of the original Bradley Bisquettes. 14 mm think. I cut rough timber into 14mm slabs then drill out the discs on the drill press. Can't you buy tube or pipe that's 57mm diameter instead of all this fabrication?
Yes you sure can. You can even cut tomatoe paste cans. I just happen to have the stuff and it was more fun for me. Just showing there are other ways to use the pellets.
I was thinking that measurement for diameter was going to be too tight.
I'm thinking just cutting some pipe would be easier. I wonder if you can make pucks somehow out of pellets?? I'm sure it's possible. Some sort of coagulant mixed with water, grind it up then make little woid cookies😂
I have seen them pressed into a tune 15 inches then press out to dry, then cut on a band saw. If I had some hard smoking wood around you can guarantee I would do that.
So you only need several thousand dollars worth of equipment to save a few hundred dollars...But cudos to your effort and inventiveness!
I get what your saying, total equipment was $250 . You can do it with way less equipment. Live just a grinder with cut off wheel, roll it on a pipe and drill and rivet.I was merely showing there was an alternative if you had the equipment available. Thanks for watching
Thousands in equipment are you on glue??? I just made this set up for free with leftover junk laying around. An angle grinder and an old metal pipe Are literally the only two items I used.... I Think I used 30cents in electricity to cut the pipe. And you can go pick up a angle grinder from walmart. SKILL Angle Grinder
Model 9295-01, 4.5", 6 Amp
$54.98 ..... So all in even if I had to buy a s***** piece of pipe I am under sixty dollars To literally save hundreds..... A far cry from Is spending thousands lmfao
@@drewrudes7522 that’s exactly the point I was making. You could use anything. I just wanted to get my idea across to see if others will refine it and make it better. Thanks for watching.
@@reelisticoutdoors4358 Of course, I'm always here to learn. Modify and make things better not to just complain about how expensive things are. That's the reason the world's going downhill. We need innovators and thinkers that will modify products and make them cheaper, not just give up.
What a stupid comment
wouldnt it be easier to just cut a pipe off into pieces lol pelltes do not have the smoke flavor that the pucks have.
I like your effort man
It’s more than saving money really. It’s just not sitting on my couch. Find a problem and try to change it. Thanks for watching
You could just buy baking rings no?
Maybe, but the size has to be exactly correct as I found during testing.
@@reelisticoutdoors4358 that's fine. You can get all the different shapes and sizes these days to suits pretty much all your needs.
Anyway, you have good equipment and interest in creating stuff and that's what matters in the end. I don't have both so baking rings for me🙂 all the best!
Awesome let me know how it works out. Thanks for watching !!!!!
I would never take advice from anybody who doesn't know how to use their tools and who's workbench is that much of a disaster! Wtf? This isn't a hack. You sir are a hack! 😂
@@robkat8884 awesome feedback thanks for watching
I will never buy the gold pucks again.
My man! everyone is jealous because you have winter, equipment and desire, take amazon away and everyone be knocking on your door. :)

Wow !think Ill keep buying them😂 total crank
As if everyone has all these tools to cut and fan stuff. Good lord 🤦♂️
