    Hello and thank you very much for posting this Bradley video. I see that you are in Canada, my name is Harvey and I live in Thornhill Ontario.
    Have you had the same problem?
    I have had a Bradley 4 rack for about 6 or 7 years. 3 years ago I upgraded the heating element to the same 900watt Tempco unit, 2 years ago the unit stopped working, I think the heat generated by the new heater was too much and it blew the resister in the back. I replaced the resister and it worked fine until last week. I have not opened it yet but I suspect it’s the same problem, I don’t think the insulation in the Bradley is good enough for a 900 w element. Have you had the same problem and if so how did you fix it? I hope to hear back from you soon. Thank you so much.

    Excellent video. Do you suggest using a higher grade of wire with the more powerful element?

    Have you upgraded the wiring to 14G over time or had any problems using the stock wiring?

      Hello as per my husband, No need too, they’re all fine. The wires are capable to handle the new load. Thanks

    So you have increased the amperage from 4.2 to 7.5 amp as long as the cabling is rated to handle this current you are good.

    Thanks for the video it’s excellent. I guess in hindsight, you could’ve used a smaller diameter bolt so you didn’t have to snap the wire connecters to make them fit?

      Don't know if it's too late - the wire connectors fit on the bolt that's part of the heater, not the ones installed by you.

    Thank you so much for this video. It was so comprehensive that even this boomer lady could do it all by herself. I do have a question - it's plugged into a GFCI outlet that is on a shared 15 amp circuit. The original heating element worked ok in the same outlet, now the 900w is tripping it. Do I need to upgrade the circuit to a 20 amp? Or did I screw something up when making the cuts on the electrical wire connectors? I had to open them up a bit to get them to slide onto the heating element's bolts. Wondering if I made them too out of shape?
    Thanks again for the awesome video!

    Will this work for the original smoker and can I go with smaller and shorter bolts to hold the heating element so as not to cut the clips on the element heating wires?

    Great video. I did this and my first test was for 20 minutes and it worked great. Yesterday I was 4 hours into smoking pork shoulder and the heat stopped. The digital lights were all functioning so I tested the wires under the back pannel. The red wire has a metal fuse under a piece of white tubing. Would changing to 14g fix my problem or should I also put in a fuse. 25:45

      I ordered 14 Guage silicone wire and a 10 amp thermal fuse with a higher heat rating arriving from Amazon on Tuesday. I hope that works. Is it normal for the element to be glowing red hot? When it was set to 280 degrees I was not sure if that was normal and part of my melted thermal fuse issue?

    Hey man! Good video, easy to understand the guide, do u know if i need the 900w 240V model when i live in Europe with 220/240V power lines? :)

    • @emskchannel4112
      @emskchannel4112  Рік тому

      Hi, my husband said. Sorry its not gonna work, because its different power rating in Europe, the wattage is made differently, and because the voltage in Europe is different. Hope this will help you? Thanks For watching

    Is there no risk of electric shock from leaving the element terminals exposed??

  • @glassman204
    @glassman204 Рік тому

    I have a feeling them wires hanging out on the new element burned being exposed like that.

      The wire from the factory is heat shielded already, its working fine. Since my husband upgraded it 3 years ago until now is still working didn't burn at all. And I’m using it twice a week, 7 hours per day.
