One of my favourite are Prilleken. That is a dough that was originally fried in lard. That why it is also called Schmalzkuchen. And they have different names all over Germany and some are quiet funny like Mutzen or Nonnenfürzchen.
I only eat a langosh at the german christmas market... its a hungarian flat bread with tooppings... i love it with sour creme, cheese, salt and most important: garlic oil The bread is really fluffy and tasty and thats my Christmas tradition ^^
Okaaay.... I eat totally different things than all the people in the video o_O I’ve never eaten Kartoffelpuffer... Langosh, yes! And Grünkohl, bottom mushrooms in a huge pan and Handbrot as well, which is delicious 🤤 and of course different sweet treats
The Lebkuchenherz from a view years back is still hanging as a decoration in my flat. Since I dislike the taste of gingerbread I've never eaten mine. My boyfriend gets to eat them before they go bad, so that we don't waste them unnecessarily. (Sorry for bad english, coming from germany :D)
Nice video! I've been the Christmas market in Frankfurt twice for curiosity, but never inquired about the treats and products. Instead of Glühwein for warm-up I preferred a shot of Jägermeister. I hope you enjoy the season!
I have been to Germany three times (and counting) for Christmas markets and the winners are Stollen, Stollen, and Stollen.

Bonner Weihnachtsmarkt! Viele Grüße von einem gebürtigem Bonner! ;-)
This is the one thing I will miss most this year, Gebrannte Mandeln :(
Yeah, no weihnachtsmarkt for me this year. Makes me a bit sad.
Lebkuchen is my favorite and Stollen as well.

I love it...from New York. Everything look clean and organized.
Oh yeah! Potato pancakes with apple sauce. A blast from my childhood!
Schmalzkuchen. No discussion
Very Very nice video!!!
Definately the Gebrannte Mandel but I love the sauted mushrooms in the huge copper pan. Topped with an aioli jogurt sauce. I can smell it a mile away.

Bratwurst is probably the best thing that has ever happened to us Germans

What happened to Rachel Stewart and the cool editing?
Where is Rachel
@@ondrejpotocar This is before she joined, and Rachel Stewart ultimately replaced Kate Müser on the show.

Das Beste ist noch immer der heiße Glühwein, gibt's auch ohne Alkohol (Punsch) 😋🤤. Der gehört einfach dazu.
