    I live in manitoba and regarding medicine and the doctor and going to the hospital yes it comes in handy when going to the hospital to see a doctor lets say for a brocken bone but some things youd still get billed for like my sister got billed not even $100 for staying in the hospital after she had her two daughters. And if you have health insurance it helps with medicines and if you need to use a ambulance cause you pay less. Also there is transit buses and enhanced id

    If you land in Toronto by air, SIN number will be given to you at the airport. You do not have to go to Service Canada. To get Health Card you need two or three ID with photo. If you are a Japanese like me and you have a Japanese driver licence, it is easy to get driver licence and you can keep own country's driver licence.(But if you land in Vancouver they take your home country driver licence and give you Canadian driver licence.)

    Igor, please tell people one of the very first things to do is phone Medical Services Plan to get registered! You are covered three months after you apply so do it soon. Also, once people have a job, if they don't have a job with extra health and medical benefits they should contact Pacific Blue Cross and enroll in extended benefits.

    Igor please may you a video of taxes as a new comer ? How you file them etc ? X

    • @Muthan565
      @Muthan565 6 років тому +1

      You pay taxes when you buy items from the shops. The commerce will add them to the shown price and you will have to pay these taxes when you buy something. There is also a tax on your income. These taxes are usually taken by your employer when they pay you, but at the end of each year, you need to file a tax return and you might receive or pay money depending on how much taxes you paid on your income from work. For the commerce taxes, they are different depending on the province. They are usually from 10% to 15%. For the taxes from your income, they are higher if you gain more money, but they are usually from 28 to 40%. YOu can look at this table for an example in Quebebec province. You have to pay taxes to province and texes to the federal, so it can differ. www.planiguide.ca/tableaux/quebec/table-dimpot/

    • @wolfgangselle4307

      Shelly Vosper eh you pay the same tax then any other Canadian ... and the tax filing is super easy to do ( at least when u have nothing else to declare on your tax like mortgage ...or other stuff like that ) if you really have only your income of work ( even if you have more then one job ) then is really easy and you can do it online it will cost you less then $10 ... I do it by my own over the last few years and it’s unbelievable easy to do here in Canada and where I come from in Europe i would never be able to do it by myself
