@@hardeepbabhauri7379 it all depends on your perspective, like what you consider important in your life. For you it may be important to meet all basic needs of life and be happy even if that means being alone or away from people you care. If that makes you happy, it is fine. The whole point is if people find happiness by going abroad. You may feel happy this way. But for some people, they may think differently, they may consider having one meal with people who care for you better than having two meals sitting alone somewhere. That is why you will see even rich people who have no money problems, yet still suffer from depression. Cos they lack the feeling of belonging to somewhere, and feel empty inside.
Hello everyone...I've been to Canada, and back in South Africa, a failed immigrant,I'm a finance professional. The country is inviting thousands especially from the subcontinent so they bring and burn all their savings in Canada. Its not about how hard it is or how quickly you can get into Canada. Its about what you will do there. There are simply not enough jobs for skilled educated workers , its ok for meat cutters and other blue collar jobs who have nothing to lose, but not for qualified professionals. It's a harsh, unwelcoming country where Ex professionals from India end up driving taxis. My advice...if you are a professional degreed worker in India, Please do NOT move to Canada unless you have a confirmed job offer or have done your research. Do your math about salary vs. Living expenses. Good luck. Don't jump into a lake if you can't swim...
haha the last part.. As a Canadian i agree with everything you said. Anyone who says otherwise had a'lot of help from friends and family to make it. Beautiful Country but i would love to move somewhere i can actually afford to have a family
Canada is for the refugees and blue collars indeed. And maybe for people who want to start over bec they realized they hate their profession. Or maybe for the free spirited person who just want to pursue frivolous things. Canada is amazing if you're from those categories.

I visited Toronto, Niagara Falls as well as Québec City and the surrounding areas and my favorite was Québec and I want to visit the east coast soon. Everyone likes different things and different places and what suits one may not suit another. I couldn't wait for the moment to leave Toronto.
Canada is like going to the store and buying a product you've been dreaming of for a long time, saying to yourself "WOW! What a great deal", taking it home and after opening the package you realize that it's actually a cheap defective counterfeit and you've been cheated out of some really serious cash! @@chrisb9996 Speak for yourself. I don't know anyone in the U.S. who wants to move to Canada and pay 50% of their income in rent and 40% in assorted taxes, with NO freedom of speech where they can be prosecuted for an improper Facebook post, while receiving "free" socialized healthcare where they have to wait six months or more to see a specialist. Some nice people up there but after France and Germany, it's the country most degenerated by Socialism/Marxism and political correctness.
lcowles And yet they have the best quality of life and a way better healthcare system than the US. Are you and the people you know enjoying those medical bills? How about student debt? Maybe it’s just comes down to preference. I prefer to live in a society that cares about its citizens and would not allow people to be uninsured, especially during a pandemic.
Canadian here. Generally speaking your video is accurate. People need to research carefully before moving here. A good way to meet new people and form friendships in Canada is to join a group that suits your interests , a running or cycle group for example . Volunteering is another good way to meet people.
Canadians sometimes asked me why I moved to Canada and I realized what they want to hear - they were chasing compliments such as: Canada has fresh air and freedom. So this is what I would answer them: - I love the climate, I couldn’t get enough of the cold - I dislike efficiency and effective execution of infrastructure construction - I enjoy passive aggressive attitudes at work - It’s so amazing to be surrounded by so many people in different backgrounds who secretly hate each other - I love being stuck on either TTC or hwy401 every single day, it makes me feel so calm - Air Canada is the best airline in the world, they are just as good as Chinese restaurants because there is no customer service - Why do you have to pay $10 for unlimited phone data when you have Bell, Rogers, Telus, that give you the most expensive phone plan in the world? They are the best! - Oh you know what my fav season is? Tax season! So I can eventually contribute half of my salary to the politicians who don’t even know how to spend it
nozecone Come on it’s not all bad. Canadian passport is pretty good. And I’m not saying it’s a horrible place to live. It’s the rosy image of ‘nice’ Canada and Canadians that is far from reality and I think people should be aware of that.
Have you considered the possibility that people might be asking why you moved to Canada because: a) they actually are interested in why you moved to Canada; b) they're trying to learn something about the country you left; c) they're trying to get to know you; or, d) they are just making idle conversation and really don't give a shit what you think of Canada or of anything else?
I have been living here for almost 8 years now. There was a time when I got up in every morning with the thought of killing myself. My loneliness made me so depressed and I’m still struggling. Going back is not a option for me. I have spent so much money and time to survive here. Canada is just a beautiful picture. Canada markets itself very well but reality is different. Canadian immigration invites highly skilled and educated people , but there are not many job opportunities. Most immigrants end up working a lowest wage jobs.
I appreciate what you said. It is all accurate. Fortunately you survived that deadly phase. Going back may still be an option unless you have already traded your citizenship (If that is the case and you are from India, you may at least obtain OCI now). If you are young enough, you may think of re-immigrating to another country near the equator or in the tropics (e.g., Australia). God bless you.
No way! I thought in Canada you didn’t pay bills and work for fun 🙃 I’m from Mexico, then i moved to USA, then I moved to Romania... everywhere is the same situation it doesn’t matter if it is a first world country or not
Why have you all forgot to mention how extremely expensive it is to travel within Canada ??? That’s what I hate the most about this country. My friends is the US buy round trip plane tickets for $100 to $300 whereas plan tickets in Canada is from $400 to $800 for a one way. Absolutely horrific!!
My wife brought me up here,I was born in Latin America-I am a mathematician with a PhD diploma,it wasn't that difficult for me to get a good job,I also speak besides Spanish which is my mother tongue English and French fluently. The lonelines part is true,my wife was damn depressed when I met her,and she can spend years without seeing her mom and sister as a Latino is pretty difficult for me not being able to see my parents all the time.
@J OneLife Miss, I don't know where you heard it but Canada doesn't provide subsidies for foreign students. Those who receive scholarships are what you call gems and any country would try to grab those in any possible manner. The assertion about nobody being homeless in the 70s is a blatant lie and probably you were a kid back then, unaware of the hardships out there. The job market is now shit throughout the whole world and what makes you think that Canada is anything special in that regard. Jobs will shrink more as technologies(specifically AI) advance, so people should select their branches keeping that in mind. Canada is fucked up in more ways than you think. You let refugees in and prevent qualified professionals to ever make a living.
In Mexico for example because the Narco it's killing people in the streets, all we have fear to walk on the park, go to work, school or anywhere. Mexico turns into a kind of irak. I would like to move to Canada, I'm engineer but here it's no hope.
Great job Igor. You sound so realistic and i appreciate that. It helps those of us that are considering traveling to Canada. Looking forward to more Videos.

David Stevenson : You are right, but leaders in Australia are much tougher on immigration which is good for NZ because these migrants could use Australia as a stepping stone to NZ, who is pretty soft on them. Canada is on a decline and has hardened the ppl too. Very sad!
Cynthia Arons It's actually the other way around. NZ is a stepping stone to living/working in Oz. The wages are higher and cost of goods are more affordable. Once you have NZ citizenship you can live & work in Aus permanently on a special visa.

I came to Canada in 1984. Spent all my adulthood here. Working very hard. Now I am 58 years old and know that I can’t afford to retire here. Not everyone can be a professional here and earn a lot of money. I am working as a transport driver for the past 27 years and it was very hard on my family life. It is pure luck that my marriage survived it for over 30 years I am a lucky one. Yes, I do have to move back where I came from for two reasons. One is the biggest, the financials and two the weather. I find it more difficult to go through the winter here. I love the outdoor activities, but the cold weather getting intolerable. Again, only people who got a lot of money can go south for the winter, average people staying indoors for 6-7 months of the year here. I am talking about people who have retired. Yes, there are way more countries out there where life is more difficult than here. But for immigrants who coming here without money, it is an uphill battle from day one. It is sad reality that after 36 years an immigrant have to decide to leave this beautiful country and basically start all over one more time for old age.
@Dariush Iranpur you can see that in the comments too and it is funny how they be polite while being so, its like they stab you with kind double meaning words, if you confront they will say thats not what they meant and you will end up feeling bad

I came here from the US 18 years ago. Success came with a lot of hard work, but it did come. It took about ten years to adjust to Canada and leave the US behind for good. The one thing I will never get used to is Canadians have a reputation for being nice. Canadians are not nice, they just wont tell you what they think of you to your face. Which was and still is very hard to adjust too. You always knew where you stood with Americans. You never know what a Canadian is really thinking about you. As a Canadian now since 2013 I still haven't mastered the art of being passive agressive.
It's really hard to hear this kind of thing! I've been dreaming to emigrate for 4 years, and lately I've searching a lot about... In my homeland is very hard to live safely and I found in Canada the safety and the quality of life I wish here! But, I see, those things about people can be really sucks, but even that I still admiring the Canadians!
Yes it's painful when you spent all your money to get there and buy a small condo and very soon you realized everything is the opposite what you thought
It was the destination for immigrants in the 80's and 90's when can Canada was the richest country in the world. Now Canada has gone down hill. Cost of living is insane.
Canada was never the richest country in the world but what would youtube comments be if people weren't always saying incorrect things. But yes cost of living is ridiculous.
I've been in this country 30 years and I have never been able to go back to the standard of living that I was accustomed to as a boy. Went from the bed to the floor. Folks, if you're used to having a household staff in your home country, in Canada, you will be a slave. Also, don't be fooled. In Canada, more than 60 percent of what you make belongs to the state.
I was born in Canada and live in Canada and this guy is spot on. The Political correctness is really a new thing that has not fully caught on with many though. If some parent swats their whining kid in public I'm ok with it. The taxes are insane and way to many laws for everything you do. Just to drive a car we treat it in Ontario like your getting a pilot's license.
Man Of Sesame That's encouraging, since I'm 82 and sick of the direction America is going. Wait a minute. Canada has already reached that undesirable destination. Guess I'll have to find another place, a place that is NOT politically correct.
The main problem is you should realized that life in Canada will not be better or worther. It will be absolutely different life and you should be ready to accept it.
Amit Kanaujia I am mostly out if Toronto... just because I can't find retail work for my age...all jobs went to young people or refugees... sad. It is really sad. My son finished Neuroscience with honors in UofT and still having a hard time getting the job he studied for.... I am realistic. I do what I can before i get depressed. True story! Was there 18 years...just brought up the kids but now travelling a bit then do more to get some money.
Loneliness can break you, and you won't have a shoulder to cry, i remember there was time i just needed to talk to someone but i couldn't. When i got a job i had to work so hard that my life was all working and paying bills.
Blunt ………. Canada is boring . -They elect a PM who doesn't have a mental ability big enough to run a lemonade stand . - Canadians hate an immigrant who in few years of living in Canada is doing better than they are . ( that has a lot to do with intelligence ) 3. Canadians think that they know everything , Everything is done the Canadian way .If you suggest a better way of doing something the Canadian (in a very "patriotic " way) will inform that if you don't like the Canadian way then " you can go back where you came from . That is my observation …...Perhaps they are changing...…..
Stop whining. If you can read and access the Internet, there is no excuse for not learning about this stuff BEFORE you emigrate. I had thought about living in Spain, until my Internet research revealed how much racism existed there. It's an individual's personal responsibility to educate themselves before making such a big decision.

Igor thank you very much for this honest informative video. I went to Ontario back in 2015 for a vacation trip with my family for a week. We did enjoy our vacation and I think it's a beautiful country to visit at least once in a life time. I agree with all what you've mentioned in your video. I noticed that people in Canada were so distant from each other when it comes to socializing and daily interaction. I felt life was tasteless if I were going to live in such country. There is no real culture or meaningful life except working hard for long hours, earn/spend money and pay taxes. Also you mentioned a valid points regarding raising your children in a society where the gov intervene in your personal and family life, which is one of the worse things I can imagine in case my way of life or beliefs wasn't Canadian enough to be part of its society. I also noticed no body where in the streets during the evening, even though it was summer time. I assume in winter there will be no sign of life in the streets due to the frozen weather. I hold a US & Saudi passports, but I live in Saudi Arabia. My wife and parents didn't want to live in the US, so we lived and raised our kids here in S Arabia. I have lived in other countries in Europe and Asia for both education and work during the last 25 years. But Canada is surely out of my list when it comes to living there for any reason. Consider me a new subscriber. Thanks
PZ there was a Canadian family who left in the 1960s era from Canada to immigrate to New Zealand and that was the time when President Kennedy was in office. This particular family in Canada wanted to get away from war and the man of the family served in WWII and was stationed in New Zealand and he loved the country and left for that country and they haven't been back to Canada since then. There was a lot of scares because of Kruchev back then of Russia as well as Cuba and communism and they wanted to get as far away from everything which they did. There is no safe place anymore unfortunately.
Nitrates Atrazines It’s not easy, but it’s also not this ‘utopia paradise’ many potential migrants perceive it to be. Everything said about Canada in this video is true about NZ. Cost of everything is prohibitive and we have substandard housing and health care in comparison to Europe.
All over the entire world there are many problems and you cannot escape them and have to deal with them. I remember going way back to the early 1960s when President JFK was involved with Castro (Cuba) and this one particular family back in my hometown (the man was in WWII in NZ and Oz) and they wanted to leave the talks of wars, etc going on back then and they moved to New Zealand. Like you said the same problems with the high cost of living. My brother-in-law and his family live in Sydney and Melbourne Australia and the same problems that we have in Canada. There is no safe place anymore to go to. Canadians have to wake the hell up and help solve problems and it all starts at the municipal level. NZ and Oz have the ocean and to put people on islands until their papers go through but even at that you don't know what runs through people minds.
can relate to your feeling. at one side you smile cause you realize your a human and others share with you . but you feel sad or depressed because that what you got
Everything else aside, you really need to be aware of how the climate here can seriously affect your mood -especially if you're from a country that gets more sunlight (closer to the equator). And its not just a mental thing either, the vitamin D and melatonin levels will be different here and that physically affects your body. Its important to spend time outdoors even in the winter (in spite of the cold), the sun is at a low angle and the amount of vitamin D it causes you to produce is reduced. This can affect both your mood and your physical health and immune system. Combined with the bitter cold this can be a recipe for depression and sickness. You might want to take Vitamin D supplemements or eat a diet rich in vitamin D , as well as getting a full spectrum mood light to help you make it through your first few winters.

Every culture is different and I know that living here in Ottawa and seeing the different cultures and it is upsetting and degrading to we Canadians to hear how foreign people will hurt us but don't hurt them back. This is their crazy mentality. One Arab/Muslim man was severely beaten in Toronto just the other day and is fighting for his life because he confronted two thugs who were harassing him and his family after they left a picnic. These people should never have confronted the thugs and should have had a cell phone on them and called the police instead. Today the man is in grave danger and it will take many months to start to recouperate. People from other countries don't understand the ways and no matter where you live in any country don't confront anyone - you don't know who is who and what they will do - just walk away. Your life and well being is more important than to deal with the thugs.
The Canadian government put forth a motion (M-103) calling on the government to condemn "islamophobia" but in their travel advisory guide they advise us not to travel to or exercise extreme caution (often citing terrorism) when traveling to just about every muslim majority country (actually might even EVERY muslim majority country as I haven't come across one which doesn't have these warnings) yet they don't have such warnings for just about every country which doesn't have a muslim majority. Are they guilty of what they put for the motion (M-103) for? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to connect the dots... Quran (2:216) Fighting is prescribed for you, and ye dislike it, but it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth, and ye know not"
Brett, maybe you should look up the defamation/libel laws in this country. You can say something truthful about someone and they can still sue you for defamation. You have to prove that your intent was not to harm the person's reputation and you are guilty before ruled innocent. On this premise alone, there is no free speech in Canada. And that's before you start getting into these gender laws that we're starting to put in now. You might get away with it, but that means nothing when the laws are in the books.
Why should a European citizen immigrate permanently to Canada or the US in 2020 ? Getting experience for a short term period 1-3 years can be well considered but why for longer if your home is in Europe?

Yes priority should always go to the citizen. Thats how it should be! Where i come from they give scholarships to international students, leaving locals no space in the university!! We locals have to go to foregin universities while govenment ones are filled with foreigners!!

Too many addicts to support by your tax dollar 6. Lots of homeless people to support by your tax dollar 7. School is expensive, you have to speak english well to survive. 8. Credit card debt is normal 9. You will have to absorb the many peoples ethnic background attitude. 10. You have to work more and less pleasure. Just a few things that is a reality in Canada, if you can overcome all of this, welcome to our country!
@@johndavis8669 But the price of everything from food, insurance, rent etc. are tripple than the US that is why most Canadian are border shoppers! Immigrants are tax injection to the economy the governments will do everything to encourage you to migrate, feeding your thoughts with hope and dreams, making everything so easy to achieve, reality is, things aren't that easy as you may think it is! 😉
The only thing that I would add, and he touched on this point is that Canada is incredibly expensive. There is a reason that Canadians have record debt levels.
I really love Canada and all, It's a beautiful country but I do agree with everything he said. It's quite accurate. Unless you're coming here with lots of money in your bank account and you don't need to work. But if you are already well off in your country and peace and order is not an issue. I don't recommend migrating here, otherwise you'll experience the same frustrations. Another thing that he didn't mention is, you can't practice your profession once you move here, you need to go back to school to do some upgrades + you need to pass your licensure exam. I think that's common frustrations among professional immigrants. You can be a doctor in your country but you'll be nobody here unless you get your license. Most Canadians are polite but racism here is also prevalent especially if you are a person of colour.
People who are well off in their own country do not migrate to another unless it has to do with a certain profession, or you are transferred to a job by your company or some sort of a reason. You don't go and spend all of your money to come here or anywhere and end up disappointed and broke. There is no magic rainbow anywhere nor a pot of gold and many die trying. Live with the realities of life. Canada is very very expensive especially Vancouver and Toronto. I as a Canadian could not afford those cities even where we live now in Ottawa. Live with reality and life is mighty short and be happy. I almost lost my husband this winter to pneumonia and sepsis and he was never sick before. We got my husband by the paramedics to the hospital just in time or he would have died.
Flav C the same thing happened to my husband. My husband studied computer programming in his native Lebanon and when he came to Canada his degree meant nothing at all. We later threw all of his studies down the garbage shute - all gone for nothing. Many educated people do not stay in Canada nor the US at all and go back home. Canada is for what they call in French LES DEMUNIES the very poor who have nothing at all. Good and educated people do not come to Canada nor the US and yes racism is very prevalent and we went through it (my husband and I) and we stay far away from the public and want nothing to do with them. I am telling all of you the truth from my hear and soul. My husband has been fed up with Canada from the beginning.
Davis Urdaneta Social justice types like to shit on European & North American countries which are the least racist in the world. My comment was a reminder to you that there are much worse places in the world. The people who built Europe & North America are getting a little fucking tired of the intersectional, perpetual victimhood narrative.
This is not the Canada I know, I live in Alberta and was raised on a farm. I had a wonderful life but we were raised to be respectful of other people. we worked hard but had a good life. If we lipped off our parents we would get a slap across the face at least. I am 60 years old and things were much different when I was growing up. You had great respect for your parents, elders, teachers, etc.
@@alexisjoelbernardino1306 you are right on the dot. In a few years Canada will have its first transgender prime minister with a pedophile as the minister of education.
Children can be out of control here, good parenting is a lost art. I wasn't beat as a child but still grew up with manners, treating others with dignity and respect. If I dared to do so I would have been in worse trouble when I got home.
@Ryu-Kishin Yes,if a kid bumps into you because it was not looking where it was going, you say sorry to the kid instead of the kid saying sorry to you.
Moved here from UK. Canada is beautiful place no doubt about it but there is no life here. Work work work. Get 2 weeks holiday a year. It's way behind Europe. Can't wait to move back.
Moved to Toronto area in October 2006, from O.C. California with Canadian husband. Relocated to Atlanta area in July 2008, ........... SEVERAL THOUSAND DOLLARS POORER! WTF was I thinking!!! And for those of you who rave about Canada’s awesome free healthcare, .... it ain’t. You pay for it in massive taxation and dismissive healthcare unprofessionals who don’t seem to give a damn about you or your health. They just want to bill the government by scheduling your annual physical in 3 or 4 separate appointments which can be spread out over a several weeks period. And after all of that, they won’t even give you any test results, answer any questions, and you will receive absolutely nothing in writing. Thanks goodness I moved back over the border because, later that year my new doctor diagnosed me with MS. I’d been having symptoms for months (exacerbated by ungodly cold weather), but my Canadian doctor (which took a year to acquire) didn’t pay me any attention and got upset with me when I told him that I thought that he was being dismissive and not uncaring. And in Canada you can’t just go to another doctor if the one you have isn’t a good match. You’re SCREWED because their aren’t any other doctors to go to. Mine was an hour and a half away from my home, ..... each way! Canada is a great country for 3rd or 2nd world immigrants, but if you come fr Europe or the U.S., DO NOT MOVE TO CANADA! It’s a MASSIVE STEP DOWN IN QUALITY OF LIFE!!! And I won’t even go into the unbelievably sky high taxes, prices, lack of choices for consumers, expensive services, laughable and ramped ANTI-AMERICANISM, the great Canadian inferiority complex, and I’ve never ever seen or even heard of an ENTIRE NATION SO COMPLETELY POSSESSED BY PASSIVE- AGGRESSION!! OMG! WTF! You’ve been officially warned. Canada is a great place to visit. And an even greater place to leave.
Dave Smith Canada is awful but living amongst hillbilly ‘tards in Texas would be hell. I guess if you don’t care to have adult conversations with people with functional brains, Texas is fine.

Very interesting and realistic your analysis! I am from Brazil, living in England for many years, and agree with your comments, which can be applied to the UK too (except the very cold weather)!
Glad you chose Canada. I moved to Canada in 1990. I still feel I won a jackpot. It’s gentle and a wonderful country that taught me open mindedness pays.
If one moved to Vancouver in 1990 and had the $$ to buy a house back then, you would literally be a millionaire today with the property price increases in Vancouver over the past 30 yrs.
Da Igor, we left vancouver in 1990, having spent 36 years there, am from Slovakia , nothing has changed in canada , . every thing you said is true. We moved , and it was the best thing we did
My parents left slovakia in 1949 when I was 2, they made a new life in canada . Canada is a much wealthier country in resources , than slovak republic ,but the problem for immigrants both here and in the usa is learning to speak english . Many immigrants to usa and canada are intelligent but have poor english skills which will relegate you to low status jobs. as for slovakia it is the closest language to russian written in the latin alphabet . There are many other minorities in slovakia , it is a beautiful country eu country but not wealthy like usa canada , uk etc .
I've lived in Toronto for 22 years and I'm sick of it: the people, the cold, the high taxes, the dupliciousness of the people and the isolation. I want out but I don't know how to make the 1st step
1234 No need to say more: come to Argentina! People are sincere, weather is far better, Argie friends will never leave you alone, the food is awesome, and ciclical economic turmoils keep you busy. All immigrants thrive here if they want! 🇦🇷
I am a Canadian woman who left small town Ontario just southeast of Ottawa Ontario and we moved to Ottawa by coming here on a visit and we were told 44 years ago that there was work which back then there was work. We came here and our children were born here. We visited Toronto and hated it with a passion but each person is different. Toronto is a pet peeve of mine (meaning a dislike) and we haven't been back since. That was back in the 80s era when we visited Toronto and not everywhere is for everyone and to each their own.
I bought a one way ticket to Asia in 1990 and haven't looked back. That one way ticket ensured I will go all in. 28 years after it turned out to be a very good move for me. Won't work for everyone but for me I found the place I feel productive and comfortable.
I pay a room for $700 for a room, it's super expensive! If you don't play hockey or a fan you are pretty much screwed living in a small city like Halifax nothing much to do
Igor is right. It is the same in the US. We have an extremely hard time to accumulating wealth in the Americas PERIOD. I want to suggest something for everyone who wants to immigrate to the US, Canada, or Mexico (Or all 3). Tip number 1 - Save the living crap out of your money. When I say save I mean SAVE. After you pay for necessities (e.g., rent, bills, food, phone, car payment, fuel [IN THAT ORDER]) then save what is left over. Beer/Alcohol is not a necessity, tobacco is not a necessity, TV/Games/Other Electronic Entertainment is NOT a necessity. The reason I say this is because all you need is a place to live, electricity/gas, food, a way to contact your employer or customers - depending on your personal situation - a vehicle to get around (but, in Canada their is an awesome public transportation system, from what I understand), and fuel for your vehicle. You do not need the newest Call of Duty game. Save what is left over. I save about $1000.00 USD per month (that's $12,000.00 per year) and I invest half of that. If you do that all the time. Then you will begin accumulating wealth within the first 5 to 10 years of your life here in the Americas. I promise. Work hard, save your money, build your wealth. Life will be great for you here.
8 lives I used to say the same thing until I figured it out. I hung out with wealthy people from where I am. I learned to think like them. Everything I said is exactly how they did it. How I did it. Hard work, determination, goal setting, education, PROPER MONEY USAGE, these are the things you must do before becoming wealthy. It is not easier said than done. It's actually the opposite. Why? Because people do not understand this anymore. Igor is right. It is hard. But, it can be done by anyone. Change your way of thought. The biggest reason I want to move to Canada is because of the way things are there. I have a great life and a good amount of money. Definitely more than most. And when I say that education portion. I mean it. You don't have to attend a university. You just have to READ and learn the right things. Read my comment again. I am not talking about people working at McDonald's or similar. I am talking about entrepreneurial, career-minded, goal setting people. If you think that is too hard and "easier said than done". You will never get there bucko. :) Take this with a grain of salt. I hope you have a great day. Thank you for your comment on mine. I appreciate it. Discourse is good. 👍 Ih! One more thing. You don't have to have a new care or a house. Wait until you have enough money not to draw in too much debt. I drove a 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 that was beat all to crap for 6 years. I saved my money and ran my own business from my rental house. I then invested my money to grow it. Do that. Trust me. It works.
8 lives That is a really horrible thing to say. I am actually a very nice guy with a nice wife, nice child and a nice life. Calling me names and telling me to stay out of Canada and that you want ONLY CANADIAN BORN while living in my country is pretty messed up. I am reporting you for hate speech. That is just how I am. I thoroughly explain what I am thinking so that the message gets across clearly and correctly. Also so it is not misunderstood nor my intentions misunderstood. I posted that as a supplement to Igor's video and explanations. You are wrong for what you said and it is not right nor nice.
8 lives I simply shared good advice and I also explained how I have what I have. This video was an explanation that I simply added a bit to. Here's a good idea. Why don't you stop being a narcissist on UA-cam? You really do fit in with the majority here in the US. You and others like you are the exact reason we are not happy here anymore. You are a narcissistic loser who I am now going to block.
Flav C Yeah. What a concept. Right?! Give some good advice and explain how you got somewhere. Then, sit back and wait for that one special fish to tell you should stay out of their country as they flip out.

Loneliness and lack of jobs. Vancouver is awesome for outdoorsy activities, brilliant downtown core - very walkable. It is great, but if you want to make friends and have a social life, then you will be lonely. I was so lonely in vancouver - it was driving me mad. I would hang around pizza pizza to be around people. You can say you are indian, people wont like you, but I have asked many people who arent and they echoed my sentiments. Not bashing, but it is the reality.
poor you mate.. have you try facebook to connect people around you ? I have similar experience when I first time arrived in China, living in semi-rural area. Lonely at the beginning but I don't give up as I have spent a lot of money .. I tried to connect with people by getting into local communities, churches, dating apps, any social media, and currently I have two circles of good friend there ..
@@kenocontreras I think I can relate. last year I went to Kyoto and Tokyo and my first impression with the people is they trying to avoid communication and keep private. Maybe it just the way of society formed in Japan to reduce every long talking into direct, problem to solution approach. Arjun, you should have tried the maritimes, people there are poor, and terrible winters, but they are kind hearted. People in Ontaio are colder than a 40 degree below Canadian weather.
Most Canadians over the age of 60 would agree completely......political correctness, education, and personal liberties taken by children (and supposed 'adults' who act like spoiled children) who were never 'taught better'.....suck. Even Canadians whose families have been here since the 1500s....are leaving...can't take it anymore.
@@jonathantan2469 , what makes you think you will always need a health care? I got sick once or twice in a year that too fever. Not everyone will need health care always... Saving and earning is more important. Stop thinking just because of free health care you don't have to leave.. that's stupid!
@@jonathantan2469 Did you hear what he actually said about the "free" healthcare? As someone famously said: If you think healthcare is expensive now, wait until it's '"free". Nothing is free. Someone always pays and Canadians face astronomical taxes in every other part of life to pay for that "free" healthcare, which is not very good quality. As he said and is always the case with socialized medicine, the quality suffers and the waits are LONG, particularly to see a specialist which can take many months. But what more should anyone expect when government is the sole provider of healthcare, and we know how government screws everything else up, too? It's the same way with the socialized National Health Service in the UK. Many years ago I had friends who were in a head-on car crash in England. Of the family of four, the father and his eldest son were critically injured. As Americans, they spent several weeks under the NHS in a British hospital, experiencing the rationing of pain medication, lack of attention, and other drawbacks of socialized medicine firsthand. As soon as the father was able to fly, they made arrangements to get him back to a hospital in the U.S. They had to fly him flat on his back, but he wanted OUT of the socialized medical system that badly. I also work for a physician who sees a lot of Canadian patients crossing the border.
Brilliantly explained.. Canada is not for everyone, especial the rich and famous in there own countries. They will always find loneliness as they are used to limelight, action and people, having said, Canada is a paradise for the one who loves to live along the natural habitat.,loves a slow and laidback lifestyle.
alot of celebrities live in Canada and like it "different strokes ,for different folks,", Perhaps if we did not have a corrupt PM Trudeau, things would be better, Trudeau needs to stop sending money to those who dont need it, He needs to stop spending our tax dollars on a 7,500 dollar swing set for his kids, and his illegal vacations . he needs to stop believing that he can Rehabilitate ISIS fighters, He needs to stop cutting Senior Citizens pensions to nothing, he needs to stop acting like an ARROGANT jerk, and answer the questions during question period at the house of commons. He needs to stop being friends with convicted terrorists, Oh ,and as for NENSHI where did the money go for affordable housing, Oh i know in there bloodly pockets, I wish folks would wake up ,and see how corrupt Canada is. !
What I have noticed in all my 44 years of marriage to my Lebanese Christian Maronite husband is that those who come over to Canada (not him but the poorest of the poor) like Canada because of the social programs and to escape extreme poverty back home. Those who are rich and middle class back home do not like Canada much - only to a certain extent. Just this week my husband said that he made the big mistake of coming to Canada and many say the same thing. People in Canada and the US are ripped off with taxes that my husband calls RANSOM and how very right he is. One Greek man that my husband knew many years ago was selling vegetables and fruits on the street of Athens and he came to Canada and missed home and went back and he told my husband and others that he was much better home selling stuff on the streets than what he was here in Canada. Like my husband said there is no place like home. Here in Canada a prime minister who accepts the sinful way of life of LBGT and you wonder why the country is in a hole is because God is punishing Canada and its way of life. People haven't seen anything yet. Canada is not a good country to raise a good family at all. There is no God and country and to a great many God doesn't exist and Canada is only going to go further down as we speak.

hahahaaaa I laughed so hard at the 5th point (different mentality). I don't live in Canada myself but there were times when I unintentionally offended foreigners with my jokes. So now whenever I talk to foreigners I put on my "international face" and keep all of my jokes at bay. This turns me into a rather quiet and shy person, I feel like I'm tiptoeing around all the time. I'm happy that I'm not the only person who feels that way. :D

You have this ever increasing wealth inequality gap and millions of people living from paycheque to paycheque, not knowing if they lose their job how will they get medical coverage?
Canada has many entrepreneurs who make money by selling into the US market. So obviously your entrepreneurs are leaving many gaps in your market that Canadians do exploit.
Your very question underscores how indoctrinated you are to something that doesn't exist anymore.

- I enjoy passive aggressive attitudes at work
- It’s so amazing to be surrounded by so many people in different backgrounds who secretly hate each other

I am in the same boat as you. I have been here 25 years and I can no longer take this weather and it's health "care" nonsense. The problem is, money.

I came here from the US 18 years ago. Success came with a lot of hard work, but it did come. It took about ten years to adjust to Canada and leave the US behind for good. Finally!!!! Someone telling the blunt truth about Canada.
Blunt ………. Canada is boring .
-They elect a PM who doesn't have a mental ability big enough to run a lemonade stand .
- Canadians hate an immigrant who in few years of living in Canada is doing better than they are . ( that has a lot to do with intelligence )
3. Canadians think that they know everything , Everything is done the Canadian way .If you suggest a better way of doing something the Canadian (in a very
"patriotic " way) will inform that if you don't like the Canadian way then " you can go back where you came from .

Every single thing you talked about can be said about New Zealand - EVERYTHING. Made me smile, and depressed a little bit.
Pavel
Including political correctness? That would kill it for me.

It’s actually NOT open minded. Any place that will not let you speak for something as silly as “offending people,” does not have free speech

Brett, maybe you should look up the defamation/libel laws in this country. You can say something truthful about someone and they can still sue you for defamation. You have to prove that your intent was not to harm the person's reputation and you are guilty before ruled innocent. On this premise alone, there is no free speech in Canada. And that's before you start getting into these gender laws that we're starting to put in now.
You might get away with it, but that means nothing when the laws are in the books.

+Devin R .. " There is a reason that Canadians have record debt levels." What would that reason be ?

Davis Urdaneta ...just like racism in China...right?
Earl Greystoke China? Where did that come from? I am not Chinese by all means, so I could care less about your comment. Lol
Only rich, high paying jobs can afford to live in canada and those who wants a quiet life.

If I dared to do so I would have been in worse trouble when I got home.
@Ryu-Kishin Yes,if a kid bumps into you because it was not looking where it was going, you say sorry to the kid instead of the kid saying sorry to you.
Thank you for your perspective. Really an eye-opener.

Moved here from UK. Canada is beautiful place no doubt about it but there is no life here. Work work work. Get 2 weeks holiday a year. It's way behind Europe. Can't wait to move back.

I left Canada 10 years and I’m loving in the great state of Texas. Best decision I’ve made in my life.
Dave Smith Canada is awful but living amongst hillbilly ‘tards in Texas would be hell. I guess if you don’t care to have adult conversations with people with functional brains, Texas is fine.
S.O.S if I tell you my horror story about the evils of Canada you-all would believe me I am crying reading the comments cause I have 6 children & 12 grandchildren no money at all to get out cause every time I start a business they send attackers on me it's a nightmare they do whatever and get away so there is no real law here pray for us

Very interesting and realistic your analysis! I am from Brazil, living in England for many years, and agree with your comments, which can be applied to the UK too (except the very cold weather)!
Hello dear I hope you are safe from the virus over there...??
Glad you chose Canada. I moved to Canada in 1990. I still feel I won a jackpot. It’s gentle and a wonderful country that taught me open mindedness pays.
If one moved to Vancouver in 1990 and had the $$ to buy a house back then, you would literally be a millionaire today with the property price increases in Vancouver over the past 30 yrs.

ernie kleinman is it better in slovakia than canada??
My parents left slovakia in 1949 when I was 2, they made a new life in canada . Canada is a much wealthier country in resources ,
than slovak republic ,but the problem for immigrants both here and in the usa is learning to speak english .
Same here, moved two years ago and it's the best decision ever!

Save your money buy a place in Florida get away every four months when it cold especially when u retire
Won't work for everyone but for me I found the place I feel productive and comfortable.
love you bro ! The way you speak and explain the things are amazing, natural and fun .
Canada is VERY expensive. Some rooms not even an apartment are $750 in a small city. Don't waste your money and time coming here.

Ih!
Then, sit back and wait for that one special fish to tell you should stay out of their country as they flip out.
yea whateve he says always in the back of mind becomes true for the US
Wow!!! Like u covered everything dead on!!! Everything he said exactly true...love canada & being Canadian but only got somewhere finally moving back to my husband country...house,land,cars,relatives,culture acceptance, kids better discipline & politeness towards parents & authorities...dentist is way more affordable...this guy really covered it all...thx for sharing

@@pepperidgefarm8010 Same is happening to me rn, I'm living in Tokyo but thinking go to Canada someday.
@@kenocontreras I think I can relate. last year I went to Kyoto and Tokyo and my first impression with the people is they trying to avoid communication and keep private. Maybe it just the way of society formed in Japan to reduce every long talking into direct, problem to solution approach. For some countries such as India, some South East Asia, or Western, we are tend to give a background story before we jump into the main question so if you come from these countries you may feel lonely ..
Arjun, you should have tried the maritimes, people there are poor, and terrible winters, but they are kind hearted. People in Ontaio are colder than a 40 degree below Canadian weather.
What about Indian guys did you won't approach them....???
Most Canadians over the age of 60 would agree completely......political correctness, education, and personal liberties taken by children (and supposed 'adults' who act like spoiled children) who were never 'taught better'.....suck. Even Canadians whose families have been here since the 1500s....are leaving...can't take it anymore.
Its too expensive too ..everything ,starting from food ending with buses ..
Those who disliked are blind. This video is 100 truth and fire, and more of us need to step up and help our new immigrants adjust!
The United States is more affordable shoot I looked at living in Canada because it's such a beautiful country but damn everything is pricey
But they have free health care.
@@jonathantan2469 , what makes you think you will always need a health care? I got sick once or twice in a year that too fever. Not everyone will need health care always... Saving and earning is more important. Stop thinking just because of free health care you don't have to leave.. that's stupid!
@@jonathantan2469 It's not free. People lose up to 50% of their pay to pay for that "free" service.
I would say most people would have gone to the US if their immigration policy is lesss strict.

We in Canuckistan don't have that problem. We check all our responses through the Ministry of Truth first... It needs to pass gender equality laws, LGBTQ+ laws, feminist laws, culture laws, diversity laws, and sensitivity laws, before, for a nominal fee, you will be given permission to make said statement for as long as it is deemed unoffensive. If in the future, said meaning of statement has changed due to language fluidity and is deemed offensive, you will be held accountable for your actions. Gulag and re-education center times depend on your race and gender.
