    1:00 The trick for that is to take the other person out of the statement to see if it still makes sense. As in "If you know Brad and me/I" you remove Brad from the statement. Then the statement becomes "If you know I" or "If you know me". So in this case the correct answer is obviously "If you know Brad and me".

      Hi Lola. The sleep demon, like all demons are called 'shaytan jinn' in Islam or just 'jinn' in context.
      To remove or block them, use these steps. Muslims practise these traditions dating back to the Prophet Muhammad and they do not have sleep paralysis/demons, unless they forget to do the below.
      1. Make sure there's no food crumbs in your bed.
      2. Have a shower if you've had intercourse.
      3. Its important to take only 2 sleeping positions. Your right side or back. Never on your left or tummy. (Too long to explain).
      4. Before hopping into bed, say "I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed". It doesn't matter if you're not religious, you only have to acknowledge The Creator of man and universe with His Arabic name. (Fyi Allah = Al-ilah = The God). All you need to grasp is God is One, He has no partners or offspring. Keep repeating it sincerely and with awareness until you fall asleep.
      5. If you're able to additionally learn the phrase in Arabic its a bonus.
      "A`oodhu billahi min ash-shaytaanir rajeem". Pronunciation is on UA-cam. But not absolutely necessary.
      You may also use this statement in everyday activities to keep jinn from interfering with you.
      Take care, all the best.

      Flat pillows should be saved and used folded in half if king size pillow and is perfect for between the knees or under the knees if supine (on your back), or if one knee up under knee on bed. Great videos guys. T😃😃hanks for sharing. One more also good for under your arm if on your side to keep arm from falling into the dip of your waist. One thing that they didn’t mention during the entire ‘side’ sleeping position spiel is that if your mattress is soft enough to let your hip and shoulder sink in, you don’t need all of those random pillows everywhere. Just a big one under your head and maybe one between your knees. A lot of ppl think firm and extra firm etc, but if you are a side sleeper and have wide shoulders and / or hips, a soft mattress really helps.

      I use three My Pillow travel pillows for my ankles, knees and a cuddle one to rest my arm on. I use the regular My pillow for my head as it supports my head with no pressure points - I used to wake up with a sore ear and it cured my TMJ. I also warm a wheat bag every night for my feet. The good thing also is that they squish into my suitcase for travel and they fluff right up again. They also are perfect for the beach and travel - I take them everywhere.

    • @Joycer2002
      @Joycer2002 3 роки тому +4

      @@ryoungerman7493 first of all I caused my TMJ by severe stress and yelling - I was out shoveling snow and yelled at the top of my lungs ( someone had totally stressed me out) the stress, cold and extreme muscle contraction caused me to get lock jaw - I could not open or close my mouth - what an experience. I went to bed and tried to relax but this lockjaw lasted two days - I could not even brush my teeth. This condition lasted off and on for months. About that time I saw an add for My Pillow and thought it was worth a try. It gave me full support and no pressure points on my jaw. My previous pillow was microfiber and fairly firm... so sinking my jaw into a soft but supportive pillow as I am a side sleeper gave me such comfort. It took two years of off and on problems and no help from the doctors for me to try and resolve the pain on my own. I also used warm wheat bags to relieve the stressed out muscles of my jaw. At this point I could still not even go to the dentist and open my mouth without it locking up and being in pain. The pillow helped me relax and allowed me to align my jaw. To this day this is the only pillow that does not put my jaw back into pain and lockjaw mode. I am also careful now not to also do anything to irritate my jaw - I avoid eating hard to chew or excessive chewing as in peanuts, gum or steak. I try to not grit my teeth or yell... they all cause pain and disable my jaw. A warm wheat bag helps relax things but I am also be careful to avoid stress. I used to always wake up with a very sore red ear... since My Pillow and no pressure points my ear problem has also been solved.

Ribs are actually flatter on that side which is why I taught myself to sleep on my right side. Then I had shoulder problems so learnt to sleep on my back while I was working on strengthening the muscles supporting the joint. Took a couple of years but I had good results after about six months. I’ve slept laying on my stomach with my head turned to my left shoulder for 20 years, no rotation of the neck durning night except for the very ocasional time I wake up facing upwards. So far I have never experienced any sleep related neck pain nor do I get migraines or headaches and when I do get them is usually because of dehydration.

    Lemme know when science reveals the secret to "changing your sleep position while you're ASLEEP and NOT CONSCIOUS enough to do anything about what position your body apparently finds comfortable in that moment". That's the video I need. I know I don't sleep in good positions. But it's hard enough to change habits when you're awake! How do you change habits while you're unconscious???

    • @lockergr
      @lockergr 4 роки тому +4

      Simply Saida my body tends to rl to my back on its own. I guess it doesn't like stomach sleeping all night long, all night, all night. All night long... But you make a great point. You can start off in a safe position and your body is going to do whatever it wants while you sleep.

      I don’t move either in my sleep.. but i’m also a lucid dreamer so i can swap between my dream body and my awake body but if i change position irl i will instantly wake up so usually i just ignore any cramps or pains i get.. 2 days ago i had a huge leg/hip cramp but was in the middle of a pretty nice dream so i just ignored it despite even reacting to it in my dream and the person i was with in the dream literally going: you okay? And me just going yep just a leg cramp.. lucid dreaming is wack sometimes 😂😂

    VERY interesting indeed! I have a mattress suitable for my size, weight and sidesleeping. To aid me in sleeping on the side, I bought a pillow that has a slight pyramid shape, which means that when the topped side of the pillow is down, it tracks into the area between head and shoulder. I have never had such a wonderfully comfy pillow, bought it at IKEA of all places.

    As a side sleeper I always had a "sore" lower shoulder but leaning back slightly as you said helped a lot. I tuck another foam pillow behind me to help support the angle and it's the most comfortable sleeping position I've ever found. I also added a latex topper to my bed so that it gives a little more under that shoulder. It's very cozy in the winter but can get a little hot to sleep with all of those pillows in the summer :) Finally found a latex pillow that is deep enough to support my head properly. Thanks for the great ideas!

    sleeping on the right or left side with a slight curvature of the spine works for me. Because of snoring I usually avoid sleeping on my back. Sleeping on my stomach requires keeping the neck on either the right or left side for a certain period of time which also does not work for me.
    But every body is different & what works for one person is not necessarily a cardinal rule, I feel.
