Snow on the Peak - Photography Challenges

- Apologies all.
There is a period of silence from about 6 minutes in due to copyright claim on the track I used. This is odd as all of the music on my vlogs is either my own or licensed via Audiio. Despite sending proof of my license for the track UA-cam upheld the claim, so to avoid any future issues with it I’ve muted it and will now avoid this particular musician, Jake Kramer.
It was not a strike, but I wouldn’t trust this industry with a half eaten scone, let alone my content. So… I chose the thermonuclear option.
And now, on to the description…
A single day of snow appeared on the apps, so I dropped everything and risked the notorious Peak District roads to get out and into it.
There was a limited distance I could travel without most likely risking the need for helicopter rescue so I went to one of my smallest, but most lovely bits of woodland.
ROBIN UPDATE
The Robin was eating crisps I had thrown out for them, which is probably why he was ignoring my choccy. Smart bird. Chocolate I have now discovered is not good for birds. Or middle-aged men.

I was planning to get out to Chrome Hill, and was up and ready to go at 6am, however bottled out when I saw how much snow was on my little 1.2 corsa. The A53 between Leek and Buxton was still open, but I didn't have the nerve to try and navigate it in that weather. I ended up just rolling round in the snow at the cemetery over the road, photographing robins and squirrels (but no chocolate).
I did take a cheeky look at the roads past where I shot, and while the main roads were serviceable, looking at the side roads it started to look really shaky. I think you made the right decision.
Some lovely images Eddie. Something magical about a snowy day. The woodland is definitely the place to be for its tranquility (and a date with a robin! 😅)
Cheers, it was really was excellent. So still first thing.
Just watched your video Eddie. Thanks again for mentioning my channel😃 I love your award winning photo, it’s amazing. I’ll be out filming in the snow soon enough, we haven’t had any yet except for up in the mountains. I liked the top down shots with the drone 👍 Also enjoyed the little robin having the treats. You made a new friend😊 Have a wonderful day and thank you again!
Thanks Dave, hope the winter brings you some great shots too.
I have a Shout out to your channel in tomorrow morning's video at 6:00AM Pacific Time.
Too kind. Cheers Dave!
Dead robins everywhere........Loved the shot of the award winning picture thought it looked better when it darkened for the fade out! Great stuff keep ya bits warm pal!!Keep em coming.
Cheers Spike. So I looked it up when I got home and chocolate IS NOT good for birds. Fortunately the bird was actually picking up the crisps I had dropped there, that's probably why he was ignoring the chocolate. Smart bird. I then did a deep dive on animals and this kind of thing and sure enough, DON'T give them chocolate.
I had to google it to, we all have learnt a lesson from todays video...good on you to highlight the plight of the robin....pmsl......Anything you suggest for cats Shitting in my back garden?? Ive got a .22?

Tiger poop, apparently. My neighbour says it works. Personally I have a dog that considers anything smaller than her fair game.
Another great video Eddie, I really like your style of presentation and it mirrors the life of a landscape photographer in such a realistic way. The highs and lows along with some superb shots in-between.
Glad you enjoyed it Todders, cheers 😀
Love your style of vlogs Eddie, informative with a bit of comedy on the way. Always know I have something to watch at night when a notification pops up on my phone, loved that autumn shot how different things look as the seasons go by. Masters Degree? clever bugger👍👍
Not clever mate, I’m just really good at Scrabble.
Great vid m8. That sling looks interesting. I need to work out if it can take my gimble with the Z30 attached. You made the most of those conditions and captured some great shots.
Cheers Craig, I’m very happy with the bag, now I’m looking for a tripod to go with it for ‘lighter’ trips.
great video beautiful
Thanks! Apologies for silent bit. Fall out with the licensing people at UA-cam.
Eddie, it's been 12 days since your last video, missing you mate...
I’m missing being out! Currently in the process of preparing to move my store and of course the weather hasn’t been good when I’ve had a few hours.
Rest assured I’ll be out and about soon.

Moving store?
@@andycaps1000 yeah, I have board game and models store.
Freezing your brass monkeys for the sake of UA-cam (and some good images) 👍
I dont mind a few reviews pertinent to photography but please don't start reviewing bikes (electric or otherwise), sunglasses and the like. That would be an instant unsubscribe.
Btw i was impressed at your dedication to blending in with the surroundings by camouflaging your hair 😊
Ha! My hair is really good camouflage in this environment. With reviews I would only want to talk about things I'm actively using or perhaps have used and am now moving on to something newer/better. I'm very happy to shill for our corporate overlords, but not at the expense of your interest.
@@EddieSkelson I could only dream of being a corporate shill 😉
