Some very nice photos Eddie, glad to hear you teaching the lesson to keep on exploring the subject given it can change hour to hour, day to day, or year to year.

Great vlog and great to meet you. Was certainly a stunning morning. Still sorting through my photos but I’ve certainly a few I’m really pleased with.

Fantastic Paul, I’m not sure how anyone could fail to get great shots from that morning so I’ll expect to see your instagram busy :)

In wild camping and hammocking, we call trees like that 'widow-makers' for obvious reasons. I once canoed to a beach on Loch Lochy well after dark, set up my hammock in the rain by torchlight as quick as I could. The next morning I could see that I was hanging between 2 very sketchy trees, I had a tree under me which must have fallen recently, and downed trees everywhere. I used up one of my 9 lives. Good vid, nice to see you not so encumbered and braving the hand held and the dangers of an ISO over 100 ;]

Of course ‘ISO Over 100’ is the work of the devil and I will punish myself severely for succumbing to its charms, but thanks for the comment Lee. I hope to do a little more wild camping this year. I’m not one of those who goes looking for shite weather though. I’d rather make a vlog of me having a nice cup of tea, going to bed early and having someone else pack the tent and kit in the morning…

*there are some really nice fallen trees in the forrest down towards Luds Church. Padley is definitely like a fairies world, the moss really sets it off.*

I love the moss around the Peak. It really seems to have a vibrancy I’ve seen nowhere else.

They have said I can photograph their herd of Jerseys this year. About time I had the attention of a bunch of ladies.
