Hi Eddie I imagine the upper branches have been removed for safety reasons because if there was confirmed disease present then I'm sure they'd have to remove the whole tree. As you know we live in a society with a Claim Culture and everyone is scared of being sued!! I loved that classic shot taken at 20mm great lighting. It's still one of my favourite locations especially as I can get there in under an hour

great video Eddie i love the shots you got the one of the wall with the reservoir in the background was amazing and then the one at hens cloud with the res in the distance were spot on 🙂it made me want to get a dlsr now instead of the bridge cam i have so i can have more control over my shots when im out. i love these videos as they are helpful in helping me select kit and also seeing what shots are there to be had. great stuff keep up the good work mate 🙂

Cheers fella, it’s always nice to know someone is inspired to get out there.
Get a cheap DSLR with a kit lens to try out going full manual. You can always trade it in when you want to go big, or keep it as a reserve.
CEX and MPB are good places to look for used gear, or if you have a local club see if anyone is moving on from their current kit.

@@EddieSkelson yeah ive my bridge camera a sony cybershot dsc-h300 wich is not bad for what it is but your limited to what adjustments you can make and the range of adjustment as its also a fixed lense so looking at nikon and cannon but open to others for the first dlsr camera so ill have a look in cex and mpb as ive used mpb before and it was very good

Need to get myself back over there over the next few weeks. Only been the once and conditions weren’t the best.

Weather must get more consistent soon. I’ve been spraying aerosols all weekend to help.

I’ve only been once, didn’t take many photos as I was there with my wife as we had a couple of nights away in 2020, we stayed in a converted barn ( sounds posher than it was, converted into a few little cottages ) at a pub, The Manifold Inn at Hulme End, Buxton.
I’ll definitely be back soon but the next few days look like a complete washout though, goes from one extreme to the other, so annoying

The weather is more often than not going to determine what kind of day you have, but if you can get to know an area it can help with feeling out what kind of shots you can look for. I say that, I often go anyway because ‘you just don’t know…’
And yes, the weather hates us at the moment. Probably. Brexit thing, or something to do with the Earth being Flat, or a Doughnut.
