Well done Eddie. I enjoyed the videos and photos. You actually captured how us mortals would feel trying to do landscape photography on a special trip where there is so much to see and just enjoy, whilst also trying to get the best out of our hobby
Thanks Alan, that cave/fall was a complete surprise to us and it was easily one of the stand-out moments. NOT good for cameras of course but there was something special about it, even with all of the others enjoying the scene.
I can se From video that you were very happy on that trip, that is a bit different from Peak District completely different approach needed. Nice, very nice. Thank you for sharing with us
You packed a lot in on the first day and a half, and gave us your take. Waterfalls look stunning/amazing. You looked well cold, which makes filming and photographing a major challenge. You have made me put this on my target location list, although there is no way Helen will be driving in those conditions. Looking forward to the next installment mate. I think a 7 day trip here is on the cards.
It’s certainly somewhere that three days simply doesn’t scratch the surface, especially if you want to piffle around at each location. We didn’t even do any heavy walks so more could be taken in. Being based in Reykjavik also meant 2-7 hour driving sessions every day. I think that a return (which WILL happen) will require either a multi-location stay OR a touring vehicle. The cost of food and drink is eye-watering, and I mean next level. £25 for fish and chips, easily £6 - 8 for a sandwich. Insane. It was the only thing that put any kind of dampener on the trip.
Mind blowing country Ed one of my top 3 I've ever visited, defiantly agree about the travelling side, lots of driving around to see things, I walked behind the second waterfall and nearly killed myself slipping on the steps due to the ice, my gear was soaked as well 😂your photos are top draw mate, look forward to your next video from there 👌
Wish I could go there, but probably never will. Fabulous video though, can't wait for part two. Thing I like about you Eddie, your down to earth, you don't let the gear interfere with the natural narrative. Thanks fella, catchya later. Regards Rob.
Hi Rob, I genuinely think that everything is achievable with determination. Or in my case an overgenerous girlfriend. But, you can get to these places. If it’s money, get a separate account and start throwing coins into it when they are spare. If it’s time, keep the break short (wise in an expensive place like Iceland) and focus on particular locations. If you really can’t get out there, just look for something closer that will offer you a ‘similar’ vibe. For me Scotland would be my Iceland. Unforgiving landscapes, harsh winters and beautiful summers. Fantastic waterfalls (ok, not as wide as the ones in Iceland, but they are bitch to shoot anyway). It’s what you make of it. Thanks for the support fella.
Duuuuude!!! The drone footage over the beach is beautiful! Great stuff
It was the only time I managed to get the drone up, but so worth it.

Many thanks!
Just fabulous - it's now on the bucket list to visit ! Looking forward to Part Two
Thanks Al! Editing part 2 at the moment. Hopefully it shows the place off well (despite the storm)
Great first part, i dont think I've ever seen you that happy you were right in your element.
Was great, and wide open for a return!
Some great comps there Eddie, loved the place in like a cavern where you got a bit wet. What a wee adventure, looking forward to the rest.

Not sure if its just my end, but a lot of the parts of you talking have no sound 1:27 onwards.
That’s the intro bud. The only bit you get to enjoy the scenery without me gobbling off all over it.
Brilliant. would love to go and visit.
Highly recommended but take a suitcase of cash…
