Brilliant speech. He brings up some great points. I wrote down a summary of his speech. Look at the conclusion.
- Caste system has been there for thousands of years. Saying that this is bad and has to be dismantled reeks of arrogance. We need to fix a few things, but not throw it out.
- A caste is tightly knit bundle. Each one having its own sampradayam and sadangus. And Hinduism is a loosely tied bundle of bundles. *Brilliant analogy*. These leftists are trying to break each of of those caste bundle, so that the whole Hinduism will be unraveled and break into pieces.
He points the dichotomy between TN society and TN politics:
- TN is aanmeega soil. Not Periyar soil.
- TN society is spiritual and religious. TN politics supports atheism (actually anti Hinduism in the garb of atheism)
- TN society is language pluralistic. Welcomes all language people to come and thrive here. TN politics is Tamil chauvinistic.
- TN society has national outlook. TN politics talks division and disintegration
- TN society respects and loves Brahmins. TN politics spreads and patronizes Brahmin hatred
Brahmins have been respectable part of our society. Any village that had brahmins never ended in caste wars and violence, because they served as a calming factor as people respected them. But TN politics claims that Brahmins are the reason for caste tensions, which is far from truth. That is politics of low-lives.
Brahmins cannot be suppressed, as they have the culture, the discipline and the reward for supporting Vedas and Dharma. These few Dravida low-lives cannot change that. When the TN society as a whole supports Brahmins, these couple of Dravida characters cannot change that.
DMK is two faced. They will publicly express their hate towards Brahmins, but will depend on the lawyers from that community fight for them and save them.
You cannot separate Brhamins and Tamil. Swaminatha Iyer, Sujatha, Vaali, Barathi. The list is endless
Dravida model ignores Vanchinathan but celebrates and commemorates Ash Durai. We can write thousands of pages on the contribution of Brahmins in freedom struggle
Vaidyantha Iyer was the first to fight and break the norms and made sure Harijans are allowed to enter Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple. And the one who formalized it made it a law was the then CM Rajagoplachari. And Pasumpan Thevar was the one who walked with Harijans boldy into the temple. NOT Needhi katchi.
Rajaji was the one that made untouchability a crime. Not Needhi katchi. Munusamy Pillai was the first Harijan to be made a minister under Rajaji
Kaviya kanda sastrigal has given many discourses where he goes great lengths to explain, there is absolutely nothing in Hindu scriptures that even mentions untouchability.
How many Brahmins have been arrested under untouchability act, or for arson against Harijans or even in jail for anything? None.
A community that is peaceful, God fearing, that is deep rooted in their culture and one that loves Tamil and Bharatham. Just because there were a few bad apples somewhere, conveniently blaming all the ills of our society and nation on this community and at the same time looting the wealth of our nation - that Dravida model should be banished.
Conclusion:
Democracy IS A NUMBERS GAME. I plead with the Brahmins community, please have as many kids as possible. If there are economic constraints, let TAMBRAS take care of it.
In your ancestral place, DO NOT sell your ancestral property. Take your kids to those place and show them their heritage.
