Did you notice the shot of Lorraine during the scene right before Irene is praying to turn the wine into blood? When she has the vision of St. Lucie and it’s kinda explaining that her descendants have the gift of “vision”, it flashes to Lorraine’s eyes too. Kinda acknowledging the fan theory that Lorraine and Irene are related!
@@Mutillomeilss you, would be right. Lorraine and Irene is from the same Bloodline, Saint Lucy bloodline, that's why both of them have the same "power", some clarivoyant power
I love that Anna Popplewell got famous playing Susan Penvensie in the Narnia movies which are based on books that are famously allegories for the stories in the Bible and then as an adult stars in a movie about a demon nun. Iconic.
I love that since Vera & Taissa (Lorraine and Irene) are sisters irl that people were like "haha wouldn't it be fun if they were related in the movies!" Then the writers were like bet, and now have written them as being descendants of Saint Lucy (the cause for their visions). Idk if it was always planned to be like that but it's fun they added it! Thank you for reacting to this! Ever since it came to theaters I was hoping you'd get to it!
The build up for The Nun II was better than the first. Kinda giving me The Exorcist vibe because I find the build up in that film to be its best part. I also like a good jump scare, I don't mind it like other people do. Glad to know you appreciate it as well.
I love this sequel. As someone that actually enjoyed the first one I found this one to be even better and is actually for me the scariest Conjuring Universe movie so far.
I'm sorry but what is so good about the first one? Just threw in a bunch of cheap jump scares and called it a horror movie. I never watched a "horror" movie so predictable and bland before.
I personally agree with the commenter as I thought thta this one would be bad cos child actors but no, it was so good! It has so such continuity and easter eggs and thats why I like it!
the connection is that Sister Irene and Lorraine are descendant of Saint Lucy, scattered all over the world. Saint Lucy was given the divine power by God, that was Valak's eyes. In a sense through her descendant, Valak's eyes have been copied to Lorraine and Sister Irene. Basically, Valak, Irene and Lorraine have the same eyes and powers. That's why Valak haunted their asses and both using Valak's copied powers to defeat it, which is ijbol. i love this connection.
Anyone else realized that when Irene had the dream about Frenchie, the mother superior from the first movie, was the one that woke her in the dream to tell her about the visitor? I thought that was an amazing call back.
The hallway of the warrens was a look into the future in a way and she saw lorraine in her vision because they are both Saint Lucy's desendents and that is why they both can see visions as well and why Lorraine was the one that could banish Valak the way she did in the second movie as well. i love how this one explians why Valak has the glowing golden eyes and how that happened as well. This one was definitly better than the first one was and finally showed how scary Valak can trully be when he wants to be. I still say the first conjuring movie was the most scary but this one is up there on my list now which is always good. The sheet scene where Valak was under there was like Annabelle did in the second Annabelle movie. the fact that yoiu don't really see Valak fully in this one until the end is what makes it that more scary to me at least because when they start showing the demon too many times it gets boaring and annoying to me as well. Grate reaction as always.
The scene with the eyes is just a masterpiece. The way they light up in his hand, go straight into his eyes and he falls to his knees. The literal devil masquerading as a follower of Christ is insaneeee. The way she’s floating with the biblical aura around her. Such an epic movie, so many well thought out scenes.
As someone who didn’t hate the Nun I came out liking the nun 2 and I’ve seen it multiple times it got better with each watch. The new setting was great. The freakin magazine jumpscare gets me every time and each time I knew it was coming. This movie definitely got the Annabelle treatment where the 2nd movie in the spin-off franchise is better than the first movie. The addition of the goat demon scared tf out of me when it was running down the stairs I was on the edge of my seat. It’s a 7/10 movie a good addition to the franchise. I liked Valak’s plan of wanting to regain her angelic power and just the imagery of her growing than becoming like one of those holy paintings you see with the glow behind her was really cool. I liked the creative kill with the headmaster getting beat with idk wha it’s called but where you sway it side to side and smoke comes out of it. The first time I watched the movie I was so confused how wine beat Valak but I realized their faith made it into the blood of Christ. I liked the mid credit scene can’t wait to see the Warren’s again in conjuring 4 the last rites.
My problem with this film is that it was ultimately pointless. They don't beat Valak, she still hasn't been sent to hell, and she is still in Frenchie. When I heard they were making this film I was so confused because the ending of The Nun should lead to Ed and Lorraine assisting in Frenchies exorcism. I also didn't like the it pretty much ended in the exact same way as the first.
It's called a censer. Priests burn incense in it during mass. Usually during the entrance a priest will be swinging it, but otherwise it is held by an attending altar boy.
Omg I went to see this with my mum lol and the theatre was EMPTY it made everything so much scarier cause things kept creaking and the air conditioning was funky 💀😭 Really enjoyed the movie tho definitely better than the first 😂
bro, I've got something worse.. there were only 3 people in there, including me, but I could see people moving out of the corner of my eye, walking around the theater lol I'm almost sure it was shadows from the projector room, but still..
in the first conjuring, they show the warrens exorcising a man on a projector. the ending credits where the warrens are getting the call, its for that case. the man they were exorcising is maurice.

Curse of La Llorona is part of the Conjuring Universe. U even see a character that appeared in Annabelle, and if u think it's only the same actor then no it's not, it's really the same character, cuz he even tells the protagonist of Curse of La Llorona about what he saw and witnessed with the doll Annabelle. I highly recommend watching this movie.

I appreciate good jump scare movies and I'm glad someone else does too. From my perspective horror is very subjective so a movie that may be scary for someone else could do nothing for me, but a proper jump scare is guaranteed to get my heart racing no matter how i feel about the story itself.

I am a fan of jumpscares too. I disagree that they are "cheap." They are so much more entertaining than blood and gore horror stuff. I love the psychological impact of the supernatural and jumpscares. They are the best!
The jumpsacres in this film are very cheap compared to say the first conjuring. It builds up to a jump scare with someone walking around for 2 mins and then after the jumpscare it goes to another scene and it's another build-up to a jumpscare. There was more time building up to jumpscares in this film then there was time actually focused on the story.
I enjoyed the first Nun and this is even better than that one, but it is all so bittersweet because we know Frenchie ultimately ends up possessed again anyway.
It's actually a weird movie.. the nun can lift some priest up in the air and set him on fire just by it's will IN A CHURCH?! Without ever trying? Right away without hesitation? But when it comes to Lorraine's doppelganger who weighs 30kg it doesn't do it and it just gets defeated? Weird
They are saint lucy 's descendent.... So I guess both lorrain and irene( lorrain's sister) are spacial..... And the nun tried to burn her...but failed....
never saw the first but the nun 2 was okay teetering on not okay lol. the ending resulted in some big monster chasing the little children around while another action packed sequence is going on with the nun itself fighting the main character. so much action, so much cgi, etc took away any actual tension that was built up from any of the slower creepier paced scenes.
I can’t believe No One realize from this movie that Lorraine is one of the descendants because as we see as all The Saints descendants open their eyes, there is a Lorraine clip of her also opening her eyes that’s how she got her gifts
Btw, there is a theory that Sophie is Lorraine. I mean, if this would be true then it would explain why we saw the hallway from Conjuring 2 and why Sophie also has this power like Lorraine and Sister Irene. Because if she really is Lorraine, she saw the same vision many years later, with Valak standing in the same hallway she stood in Conjuring 2. But it's a theory, so maybe it's correct or wrong. Idk
24:47 Looked away for a few moments while this video was playing and just heard you say “Wait, that’s not phallic” in a very disappointed tone. Took a second of me thinking wtf was I watching - and wtf were _you_ watching - before I realized I’d misheard.
Fun fact! At 18:00, that's not a bell, it's a thurible. That's what the censer is called that they use during Catholic mass. It burns the incense inside, and it hangs from chains that swings back and forth. I am full of random facts lol.
I didn’t hate or like the first Nun, I’m definitely indifferent with it but the sequel was much better in my opinion, I saw it twice in theaters… one of the times I went I watched with my mom and she said Valak looked like Marilyn Manson and now I can’t unsee it 😂

Btw I’m pretty sure this move is after the conjuring 2 like timeline
Scream 3 please and thank you
never saw the first but the nun 2 was okay teetering on not okay lol. the ending resulted in some big monster chasing the little children around while another action packed sequence is going on with the nun itself fighting the main character. so much action, so much cgi, etc took away any actual tension that was built up from any of the slower creepier paced scenes.
I can’t believe No One realize from this movie that Lorraine is one of the descendants because as we see as all The Saints descendants open their eyes, there is a Lorraine clip of her also opening her eyes that’s how she got her gifts
14:37 by far my favorite scene of the whole movie
There is no way that was the devil 😂 he would never work for Valak
The nun looks more scarier in the second movie
Omgg the way I smiled when I saw the notification
13:35
so are we not gonna acknowledge this clip whose scene is similar in conjuring 2.
26:41 Me talking to my friend about my abusive boyfriend: "he's scary when he's a demon"
"In the movie not in my life please thank you" AHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Btw, there is a theory that Sophie is Lorraine. I mean, if this would be true then it would explain why we saw the hallway from Conjuring 2 and why Sophie also has this power like Lorraine and Sister Irene. Because if she really is Lorraine, she saw the same vision many years later, with Valak standing in the same hallway she stood in Conjuring 2.
But it's a theory, so maybe it's correct or wrong. Idk
there was so many crazy good scenes in the movie
24:47 Looked away for a few moments while this video was playing and just heard you say “Wait, that’s not phallic” in a very disappointed tone. Took a second of me thinking wtf was I watching - and wtf were _you_ watching - before I realized I’d misheard.
Is no one talking about how Caitlin is calling ⚽ football???
When I saw the notification I jumped out of my bed
You should watch The Babadook it has to be the most scariest movie I’ve ever watched!!!
Fun fact! At 18:00, that's not a bell, it's a thurible. That's what the censer is called that they use during Catholic mass. It burns the incense inside, and it hangs from chains that swings back and forth. I am full of random facts lol.
I didn’t hate or like the first Nun, I’m definitely indifferent with it but the sequel was much better in my opinion, I saw it twice in theaters… one of the times I went I watched with my mom and she said Valak looked like Marilyn Manson and now I can’t unsee it 😂
Do you notice the lorrain eyes?and lorrain also descends of lucy ❤
Or hills have eyes... Is just as sick with the insect..... There's like 2 of those I think........ But its sickkkkkk...
i love the mcu ass post credit scene like cmon demon hunting avengers
