Yes, you're one of the... 8 only people who liked it. BUT good for you! It's fine that you liked it hah it definitely has some stuff going on for it but when it comes to phasing, acting, story and even the climax...well those aren't the best, imo.
I remember leaving the theatres a bit disappointed after this film, but somehow the nun was the one I was more excited to see your reaction ???? PS Sister Irene is actually Vera Farmiga's sister!
Bonnie Aarons rocked the roll of Valak. The best part was that very little makeup was used. She is just naturally scary looking and embraces that. It's interesting that you mention people looking like someone else. Every time I see you on the screen, you look like a young Helen Hunt. You even have the same smile. This movie didn't make me laugh, but it didn't scare me either. Keep up the great work with these reactions.

For those of you who might not know, The lady playing Sister Irene is Taissa Farmiga the real life sister of Vera Farmiga who played Lorraine Warren in the 3 The Conjuring movies. Pretty cool that they chose her sister to play in the spin off.😁😁😁😁

It kind of sucked that he ended up being the guy from the exorcist in the conjuring but it completely made sense and it tied valak into the series really good
I'm a super fan of the conjuring universe. When I watched this movie for the first time I thought if was cool but I probably wouldn't rewatch it much, unlike the other movies. They are talking about doing a 2nd nun movie and I think it would be super cool for them to base it on Frenchies exorcism. Seeing Ed and Lorraine meet him and their journey through everything
I honestly don’t hate this movie I had my mom watch it for the first time and she actually got scared a few times and she liked the movie. The experience made the movie to go up a bit. This is definitely better than Annabelle cause at least it has a bit more horror and is entertaining. I really love the castle setting too.
I can honestly admit , even as a 42 year old single dad of daughters that this freaked me out so badly becasue right after my baby was born I was up late and wanted to watch Conjuing 2 for the first time so I did in the dark and Valek really disturbed me, it’s appearance, more than anything has and I went to sleep after and woke up to get a drink . I went into my master bathroom and it has automatic LeD lights in the light switch panels and outlet covers thst out off jsut enough light you don’t need to turn the lights on which I never do becasue it wakes me up. I leaned over the sink coped my hands and drank some water and then I looked at the mirror in front of me as I stood up straight and I saw Valek standing behind me in the reflection but the wall behind me was maybe 12’ away but in the mirror Valek looked like it was maybe 30’ from me , the instant I saw it I’ve never jumped so hard , I didn’t turn around to see if it was behind me , I hauled ass out of the bathroom and turned on the bedroom light and tv , not ashamed to say I was breathing really hard and in “flight” state of body and mind and as a father I was freaked out and worried about my daughters so I checked their rooms. I’m sure jsut waking out of sleep and jsut watching the movie and being freaked out by valeks apearance I’m sure my brain put that image there or something but hallucination, half dreaming or whatever I defiantly saw it behind me and becaue of that night this movie disturbs me, my master bathroom freaked me out at night the rest of the 2 years I lived there. Annabelle Comes Home and Conjuring The Devil made me do it are some of my favorites in the universe. Also yes it is the same actress who plays Spencer hastings. Vera Farmiga's ( Lorraine Warren) younger sister Tessa(Sister Irene).
Adore your reactions girl! I love that you see the parallels, the stuff that comes back in each film. It's my favourite thing! So funny that you compared Taissa to Spencer and not Vera, I can't believe how much she looks like her sister actually (not sure if you know)! If we ever get a connection between Irene and Lorraine, I will lose my mind! This movie completely lost me when they went for... zombies? It lost its realism so everything past that just looked a bit ridiculous to me. Some scenes I still enjoyed though! It wasn't all bad. Oh I'm so excited for you to get to Annabelle Comes Home and The Conjuring 3! La Llorona is a good watch imo, it's another film that is not the best but I didn't hate it. It's the same thing like this one, some parts are like ??? but it has its good scenes that I enjoyed! The connection at the end was my FAVOURITE THING I HAVE GOOSEBUMPS AGAIN
The Curse of La Llorona doesn't really add anything to the Conjuring Universe but is very much a part of it with some cool easter eggs that tie it in. I enjoyed it though it is my least favorite in the franchise simply because of how different it feels from the rest.
While The Curse of La Llarona is actually in the conjuring universe but doesn't contribute to it as a whole it was still enjoyable to watch and a breather from all the usual stuff, I finally got around to watching the conjuring universe movies and started in chronological order and after seeing Annabelle for four movies straight after the Nun (Valek) I did enjoy The Curse of La Llarona for not having any of the other cases included. There is also a returning character in it in which they reference the first Annabelle movie.
i find Valak so cool with the eyes kinda glowing in the dark in every scene. Gives you the vibe that darkness/demonic things can be awesome, powerful but scary af :P thank you for the reaction! you got beautiful eyes too btw 😋
I actually thought before watching the Nun that Lorraine was also the main character (but like her story before becoming the Warrens) bc they look so much alike turns out the actresses, Taissa and Vera are sisters irl 😂
8:38 it's funny that you mentioned JUST before this how the conjuring universe movies have the same shot progression, because they recreated this exact same shot again in Annabelle Comes Home, only in that movie it's the shadow of a ghost bride encircling a room instead of Valak. Can't wait for you to see it!
I believe the part where she is praying with the nuns, all that sequence until they arrive to her is her having the visions of what happened there before they arrived. Basically when they arrived all the nuns were dead already
Getting the timelines and lore of the conjuring verse films is like trying to understand the FNAF lore sometimes. Fun to see you watch em though so I'm here for it lol.
edits: i think she stab the coffin to let in air cause he's losing air slowly in there and the fire consumes even more oxygen so although it looks dumb it's actually kinda smart unless she did ended up stabbing him lmfao honestly i dont think the nun is bad at all, it's just different from the conjuring series, horror movies has its own categories of like how they scare you.. while conjuring 1 and like insidious series focuses more on the jumpscare aspects, the nun, like paranormal activity focuses more on like ambience, but i think the nun takes it to the extreme with the creepy vibes, it leaves you feeling unsettled the whole time all through the movie, and some people just prefer the jumpscare more than the slow burn vibes type. some also focus more on the entirety of the plot, like conjuring 2, and some tries to mix things up but if you're not too good at it, some can see it like.. "half-assed", good example of the combination is annabelle creation, it has good combo of plot, ambience, and scares~ i personally really love the nun tho, but i'm somewhat biased cause i really love taissa farmiga lmao
When I made the connection at the end when he tells his name is Maurice to Sister Irene, I was in the theatre with friends and I literally screamed, I kid you not. The entire theatre was looking at me when my theory came true.
I know he's acting as a Nun, and that he has a female actress, but fun fact about Valak is that... he's actually male. He has no female form (apparently based on what google says) based on actual lore and it's purely made up by the movie that Valak has a female (nun) form.
Yeah, it was a tough script to pull off. Valak had to reappear in the future so the protagonists couldn't exactly win this round. They couldn't lose either or it would be a sad movie.
What you said about the last minute of the film is absolutely spot on! This film was (for me) a marathon to get through, my gf at the time even fell asleep 😅
100% agree with your opinions at the end! Definitely one of the lesser movies in the franchise, and the end of the movie with the connection to Ed and Lorraine was the best part. It’s too bad since this movie had so much potential with Valak :/ You can skip La Llorona, but I cannot wait for Annabelle Comes Home!
When I first saw this movie I was disappointed up untill "the nuns weren't there the entire time" twist because it changes the entire theme of the movie from a horror to a comedy. This entire movie is just valak being a troll. Like he even warns them to leave in the begining and they don't. Genuinely just him pranking for the shits and giggles, he coulda killed them from the first night and didn't, valak is the protagonist. I had to watch it a second time to appreciate it from a different perspective.
This is one of the few movies I watched at the movies... and this was probably my third time going to the movies in my whole life... I leave the place SHAKING. Thankfully I watched the movie in the afternoon... if I'd watched it in the night... I'd have passed out.
Ringing the bell is where the phrase dead ringer came from and it was also the original graveyard shift, people would sit in the graveyard and listen for bells for the people who were thought to be dead. Not sure if it’s true, but it was explained in the show Ghost Whisperer, always thought that was a cool explanation and it definitely makes sense
Honestly I really like this movie. It's got some really good horror moments but it also has that additional layer of silliness and campy hijinks that I really enjoy. It's just so.... much. And hey I'm glad my boy lives, the cute guy almost always dies so I'm glad he makes it. I'm just so glad Caitlin noticed one of the (I assume many) Camp Rock parallels carefully hidden by Corin Hardy for the keen-eyed fans. (I straight up lost it omg.)
My friend and i went to see this, we were really scared throughout the movie but at some point in the end we decided to just laugh about it to stop ourselves from being scared. It helped a lot lol
My friend and I burst out laughing in the theaters when the blood of Christ was stored in what looked like the holy hand grenade from Monty Python. That combined with the nun being defeated by a spit take sealed the deal
Nun is a prequel movie to Conjuring films 1 and 2 . All is a damn circle . Nun stops before Conjuring 1 . Tha Canadian is the possessed guy of the first movie. And we see Vera Farminga's sister here as the training nun Irene . Taissa Farminga. Nun is the origins film of Valak demon of Conjuring 2 . Very solid film for me in the universe and adore Abel Korzeniovsky's soundtrack ... Spooky , dark and creepy . Like the demon . Also composer of the Penny Dreadfull series. Finit hic Deo !
And nun could be trusted. Lame joke I know but couldn't resist. For me the best part about these movies is your reaction. I love how vocal and animated you are. "I knew that was going to happen," a second later, "I didn't know THAT was going to happen." Anyway, thanks for the entertaining video as always.
Sister Irene the main character the actress's name is Taissa Farmiga her sister is Vera Farmiga the actress who plays Lorraine Warren just wanted to put it out there. 😊 Love your channel by the way keep it up.
The young woman who you said looks like Spender from PLL (Troian), I thought looked like Vera Farmiga! I thought it was young Lorraine Warren at first. Which makes sense because she's played by Taissa Farmiga, Vera's younger sister!

I need you to rewatch conjuring2. After watching this for the idkc10th time I saw how excited you got over the valak license plate however they did it in the conjuring 2 as well. They spell out valak several times in the background of that movie. It's pretty cool actually
Yeah this movie was literally a comedy. I was laughing the entire time. Especially the scene were the Nun comes out of the water, I was in hysterics then. Hands down the funniest moment ever. I was mad that technically Frenchie died from this shit though 😭
The guy (Frenchie) was actually possessed. It was shown in one of the movies of the Conjuring Universe. He died. I think, just an assumption, that Conjuring 4 will be Frenchie's case.
I think my favourite part of this movie is just the knowledge that the main actress in this movie (Taissa Farmiga) is the younger sister of Vera Farmiga who plays Lorraine lol

honestly i dont think the nun is bad at all, it's just different from the conjuring series, horror movies has its own categories of like how they scare you.. while conjuring 1 and like insidious series focuses more on the jumpscare aspects, the nun, like paranormal activity focuses more on like ambience, but i think the nun takes it to the extreme with the creepy vibes, it leaves you feeling unsettled the whole time all through the movie, and some people just prefer the jumpscare more than the slow burn vibes type. some also focus more on the entirety of the plot, like conjuring 2, and some tries to mix things up but if you're not too good at it, some can see it like.. "half-assed", good example of the combination is annabelle creation, it has good combo of plot, ambience, and scares~ i personally really love the nun tho, but i'm somewhat biased cause i really love taissa farmiga lmao
"Is Valak a giant?" i'm literally dead 😂
Ok but the thumbnail! I still think about Frenchie all the time, baby boy deserved the world 😭
my exam was today! it went amazing and now I am blessed with your new video, thank u, god, for saving my deteriorating mental health
Oh the notifications from your channel always blesses me
When I made the connection at the end when he tells his name is Maurice to Sister Irene, I was in the theatre with friends and I literally screamed, I kid you not. The entire theatre was looking at me when my theory came true.
The Nun stopped being scary for me when I realized that she looked like Marilyn Manson.
I know he's acting as a Nun, and that he has a female actress, but fun fact about Valak is that... he's actually male. He has no female form (apparently based on what google says) based on actual lore and it's purely made up by the movie that Valak has a female (nun) form.
next mission in life: check valak’s genitals
i'm pretty sure demonic entities have no gender, except lucifer/lilith
Actually VALAk is more like perverts as you are! Doesn't matter male or female...
It’s too bad since this movie had so much potential with Valak :/
You can skip La Llorona, but I cannot wait for Annabelle Comes Home!
U saying that demons name so many times 😭😭😭 shook
Yeah, like gurl you're going to invoke something 😭😭
@@EquinoXshowcases fr she is fearless 🤣
When I first saw this movie I was disappointed up untill "the nuns weren't there the entire time" twist because it changes the entire theme of the movie from a horror to a comedy. This entire movie is just valak being a troll. Like he even warns them to leave in the begining and they don't. Genuinely just him pranking for the shits and giggles, he coulda killed them from the first night and didn't, valak is the protagonist. I had to watch it a second time to appreciate it from a different perspective.
I think la llorona is good to watch because they even talk about 1 of the conjuring movies in the movie itself.
girl I LOVE UR VIDEOSSS, you deserved more recognition, keep going 😜
This movie made me realize that Valak REALLY likes just choking a bitch!
4:20 Hence the quote "Saved by the Bell"
Nun is a prequel movie to Conjuring films 1 and 2 . All is a damn circle . Nun stops before Conjuring 1 . Tha Canadian is the possessed guy of the first movie. And we see Vera Farminga's sister here as the training nun Irene . Taissa Farminga. Nun is the origins film of Valak demon of Conjuring 2 .
Very solid film for me in the universe and adore Abel Korzeniovsky's soundtrack ... Spooky , dark and creepy . Like the demon . Also composer of the Penny Dreadfull series. Finit hic Deo !
why this channel has not one million subscribers?!!! I'm still in shock 🤯
The fact you notice the license plate. Impressive
Fun fact. The sister is actually the real life sister to Vera Farmiga from the Conjuring series
If you dont know already that is Vera Farmigas little sis,Taissa Farmiga.
Me and my friend couldn’t help but laughter at the part when like ten nuns came marching in unison and locked the door tho😂
Love your channel by the way keep it up.
13:56 - 14:00 icon face here. Absolutely gorgeous.
I turned on the subtitles and each time you said "Valak" it'd show up as "phallic" lmaooo
"Valak" name can be found in a lot of scenes in the conjuring 2
The young woman who you said looks like Spender from PLL (Troian), I thought looked like Vera Farmiga! I thought it was young Lorraine Warren at first. Which makes sense because she's played by Taissa Farmiga, Vera's younger sister!
you totally need to watch Annabelle comes home! Also, I don’t know if I missed it but actually Taissa farmiga (sister Irene) is actually Vera Farmiga’s (Lorraine warren) sister!
Hi :D friendly reminder that this and the music reaction videos are my confort channels.
That moment when you watch the whole reaction to just see the last scene reaction, and its the best part of the movie XD
I need you to rewatch conjuring2. After watching this for the idkc10th time I saw how excited you got over the valak license plate however they did it in the conjuring 2 as well. They spell out valak several times in the background of that movie. It's pretty cool actually
When the movie buffered near the beginning I genuinely thought that it was doing it on my end and not hers, I actually checked the video too lol
The first part where she was gliding on down the hallway was SCURRY AF- like 💀
This movie legit had my friends and me laughing in the theatre 😭
I watched this movie in 4D which definitely made it better but also made me (and the people I watched it with) laugh more than many other movies.
Yeah this movie was literally a comedy. I was laughing the entire time. Especially the scene were the Nun comes out of the water, I was in hysterics then. Hands down the funniest moment ever. I was mad that technically Frenchie died from this shit though 😭
when she mentioned camp rock... i fell to the floor
The guy (Frenchie) was actually possessed. It was shown in one of the movies of the Conjuring Universe. He died. I think, just an assumption, that Conjuring 4 will be Frenchie's case.
I’m surprised so many people who loved Annabelle Creation hated this movie
The constant paranoia from this reactor makes this video 10x more entertaining. You, ma'am, just earned a new subscriber 😅
