Step 1: Open fuel filler cap to release pressure. Step 2: Start vehicle and remove fuel pump relay.Let the motor stall. Step 3 Remove negative battery terminal. Step 4 is where you start the clip. You did a good job on the rest and the video was helpful to me.
Very good video you done, I got a question for you on my 2017 tacoma I was able to disconect 2 lines from filler neck but the 3rd one I can disconect it from top of filler neck but can not get to other end its too deep in towards center of tank what do you think I should do drop the tank like you did or loosen the bed & pull it back to get to it? I am wanting to do body lift on it & have to extend lines but as I say the 3rd line I cant get to it from where the frame is to center of tank which I have no idea how its connected at the other end looks like plastic though again its in a tight spot to get to so didnt know if pulling bed back or dropping tank would be better?
Very nice and clean job. Excellent explanation. Im gonna go buy that blue tool just to have it now. I never knew about it. I would have forced it off. Thank you!!! Lol. Do you know if you can fit that same tank in an 01 Tacoma DC 4x4 V6?
The beauty of it is that most trucks and vans have the same type of installation and removal process. but as one gentleman posted in a comment, which I did but didn’t include in the recording, is to always disconnect the battery before continuing with the installation and removal of any part dealing with the fuel system.
leon forte Thank you. Glad I was able to help you. Be sure to subscribe and share. That would really help me to get this channel really up and running.
Yes, it can be done by completely removing the gas, letting it dry out, and removing any debris with a rag. I strongly don’t recommend using a vacuum because the fumes can eventually make it to the motor where it has a small spark and can cause an explosion.

Happy I was able to save you money.
Excellent video. Thanks.
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Do you know where the relay for the fuel pump is?
At how many miles you had to replace the pump
Thank you for this video
Nice job - thanks!
Appreciate it. Thanks.
Good job on this video!
Thanks.
Some people lift the bed to access the tank
Question: do you recommend cleaning out the bottom of the fuel tank, and if so, how?
Yes, it can be done by completely removing the gas, letting it dry out, and removing any debris with a rag. I strongly don’t recommend using a vacuum because the fumes can eventually make it to the motor where it has a small spark and can cause an explosion.
Nice job, what parts store did you get the tool from?
Thanks. Check Advance Auto Part.
