Stack and tilt weight remaining on the left side makes sense to me as I have back issues and with the conventional weight shift right side to left side I find it too inconstant in making a good contact. Following this system has allowed me hit irons and drives more constantly with less stress on my back.
@@NickTaylorGolf i have been using this method and it has help me out to be more consistent. The only problem I am have is I am hitting my 3 wood better and further then my driver. So I diffenitly want to do some online classes. I sent you and email about this. And thank you again!!
Great lesson Nick. Thanks. I use this for shorter shots only, but cannot with my back problems at 62. LOL. I cannot generate enough speed and am not a gym rat. I loved the lesson and learned a lot though. I can still hit it consistent straight with my L to L and my driver - about 275ish on average. Sure can hit it 300, but I have no idea where it is going to go. LOL. This was very well explained. Loved every minute of it.
Nick- I really appreciate your lessons and videos. Applying S & T has really improved my iron play. However, my driver is less consistent. I don't spray it too far, but my distance varies between 210-250. I'm 52 years old, but I feel like I should be consistently longer (I'm sure most players do). I also live in New Mexico and play from higher elevation. Am I off when thinking about more consistent driver distance? Thanks!
Great advice (lesson). System seems to work well for this senior golfer. SnT, by far, gives me the most consistent results. Thanks for explaining the system so clearly.
Hey nick - if you want to hit a fade with this system are you better off opening the face more and keeping ball position back (push fade) or move ball forward and hit pull fade?
Is SnT the method taught by all Golftec instructors? Your teaching is very similar to instruction that I received from my local Golftec coach, although he didn’t use the SnT name to describe it. Rich
Nick, thank you for great content! I have adopted the stack and tilt swing to protect my back and have found my contact is more consistent as well as longer distance on each club. I have not dropped my score that much, which is due to adjusting for more yardage to each club. The only challenge is hitting my driver and would like to get a lesson from you. Thanks Jeff
Great video but I keep hitting fat shots, the ground before the ball while trying the stack and tilt method. I’m taking so much ground that it’s hurting my back. Any key points I’m missing here.
Hi Jordan make sure your weight is 55 - 45 on the lead side (left leg for a right handed) and keep it there throughout the swing. Ensure at set up your hands are pressed forward to the left leg and ensure the but of the club is a little more upright.
Do you agree that the three fundamentals you talk about are the key ingredients of any good golf swing ie not just stack and tilt? And also would you agree that the only real difference between stack and tilt and a "conventional swing" is in the latter there is a small weight shift off the ball to begin with that is "cancelled out" by a recentering at the top of the backswing so that in fact the pressure in the feet at the top of the backswing is exactly the same for both types of swing? Thanks Michael
Yes they are key for any golf swing. Stack & Tilt (Mike and Andy) clearly defines these which has never been done before. The system of defining a swing and how to measure differs a lot from how i was taught at the beginning as a coach. So not just the weight shift but that’s the obvious one to start with Michael
Morning. I watched this video sevral times yesterday. Brilliant. I been learning the stack and tilt this season . I play of 10.. Only thing i cant seem to get comfortable with is weight forward i feel like i am really pressing down in my left leg but it feels restricted on my follow through. Any suggestions on this please.. Alao i cant fing you on skillest..?
I didn’t explain myself very well by the sounds of it in this video. I would call the release the club passing the lead arm after impact with the combination of rotation of the arms and hinging of the wrists. In to out means the swing path of the clubhead is traveling to the right at impact (right handed golfer)
Nick, you're being misleading. At 6:04, golfers (or the best) don't move their head back about 8-10" as you're demonstrate.. Unless you're Curtis Strange who did move off the ball on his backswing.

that was jam packed with what us amateurs need to do more off really good
I just finished reading the book. I'm glad I got it. I've been learning the system since the beginning of the warm season.
That’s awesome, thanks for watching
Such a good video. And such a great swing.
Great video, I love the way you explain the fundamentals.
Thanks for watching
Nice thank you Nick. As always great video. I have not read the book now I will have to get thank you.
Thanks for watching Tone

Great lesson. That certainly explains stack and tilt. Thanx....
Amazing explanation Nick. I would lessons from you. Been using s&t for 3months with great success.
That’s great Ross, look me up on Skillest if you want some online lessons

I love this system it works!!!. I'm still struggling with distance though(((. Ball speed and club head speed is still an issue
Im glad you love it but surprised you are struggling for speed

Thanks for watching George, I’m glad the videos are helping
S&T works, despite bad press.
I was stuck on the right side , for years !!!!
Thanks, what set up are you using indoors
Hey nick - if you want to hit a fade with this system are you better off opening the face more and keeping ball position back (push fade) or move ball forward and hit pull fade?
Aim left with ball slightly more forward than normal
Any advice when using SnT for severe up or downhill lies?
No real difference in the swing but more weight left on downhill and ball slightly back on uphill

Yes very similar training, thats why a lot of S&T instructors work at golftec

I’m getting back into golf after a long hiatus due to back pain. Is your back still doing ok?
Where to buy the grid to put on the floor.?
Hi Nick - do you know of any stack & tilt instructors in or near the Alicante area of Spain ?
Thanks
Is the stance open or closed to the target at setup to obtain a draw
Closed will help but can depend on the individual
Does Jemenez use the stack and tilt
All the best players tilt and move their weight forward and conform to the 3 fundamentals
Why so far behind the ball with the tape ?
do you move it as you get more consistent ?
You can make as easy or as difficult as you want, this is just a recommended starting point
@@NickTaylorGolf Thanks really like your videos keep them coming ..
Thanks Tony
Where can I buy the stack and tilt grid?
I make it myself with tee claws, but if you have a mat you can draw your own in permanent marker pen

What does it mean “release your hands”? What does “in to out” mean?

You could probably find any professional that did just about anything in their swing, truth is there won’t be many that do this James
I'm getting better with this swing but I always seem to hit my driver towards the heel so I am not getting distance . Wassup with this? B.
Good to hear your getting better Bob but hard to know with driver without seeing the swing
with iron pretty good idea, with driver aaa not so much
Been trying the system on the range with little success. A lot of shanks☹
If your keen on learning the system I would suggest finding a coach to help you know where to start
If you are a rear posting golfer then stack and tilt will ruin your golf. Best stick to a swing that suits how your body moves naturally.
U dont shift your weight in any golfswing.. u shift pressure
To shift pressure you can either shift the force on your feet, or the size of your feet. Which do you think you're doing?
