P3-P8 is called Acquired Action in The Golfing Machine, RIGHT??? It has been years since I've been in the TGM community, but I remember learning the pattern from Acquired Motion (Action) was huge with certain instructors.

Thanks for replying…now that i know there’s a real person behind these…..To met one of the big advantages of stack and tilt over other systems is that I (as an advocate of David Pelts) use “position #3, #4, and #5 with all my irons including wedges. Stack and tilt allows these non full swings without introducing accelerated weight shift or any other “adjustments” to the downswing. This makes Half shots and 1/4 shots much more repeatable.. My point is…if I’m correct….play it up…why doesn’t any one do a fair comparison of the various swing systems. rotatory golf, stack and tilt, natural golf, traditional trail leg drive to target. Etc. I think stack and tilt for the average amateur would make the most scents.

Great lesson! Quick question…. At impact is the club directly in-line with the left arm or should there be a slight angle? Centrifugal force says the club should be a direct extension of the left arm in my mind it has to.

Focusing on the positions in the golf swing reminds me of Rick Monday, a pro who I took a few lessons from several decades ago. He would literally put his students in the various positions of the golf swing and have them hold each position one after the other...over and over. He didn't even want you to hit balls for a few weeks as he did this with you over and over and you rehearsed at home.

I’m going into my second year playing and I have a hybrid conventional swing with really wide stance but straight arms. I’m inconsistent but the straight arms has been helping.
I’ve decided to completely embrace stack and tilt as it feels natural to me when I practice in my home (winter in New York). I can’t wait to try this in April.

Nicely done. Good drill to keep it together, when things go awry.

Great video, thank you. at 8:00 you mention you can stay at P4 "for a long time". I can hold that for a few seconds and my left arm feels tight and burning- and I'm not much past P3. Am I just that inflexible?

Thank you Mitch! Yes, you have to have the correct movements of extending tilting and turning to make this happen. You shouldn't have any stress. I do online lessons if you need help:)

What about clearing left hips? Does it happens automatically or I have to think about.

Your tip for P1 address using foot flare setup with pressure 70/30 split on the front leg was something Ive overlooked over the last 3 years. I tried your tip, instantly adding 30-50 yards on my drives. Im also hitting everything really pure, and more consistently. I cant thank you enough.

Great lesson. At what point do you transfer the weight to your back foot. And what percentage? Ed
