I have been racing these for a few months now. The best pedal set I've ever tried and these are the cornerstone of my simrig. Bases and peripherals can come and go, VX-Pro's are here to stay.
I’ve had my vx pro’s a few months now and all I can say is wow!!I upgraded from TM Tlcm ‘s which I modded with rubber bushings and difference is night and day. I wanted stable braking along with the progressive feel that you get from elastomers and this product delivers. Built like tanks they are! Thanks Dave for bringing simgrade into the spotlight . I think there are only a couple of fellow UA-camr sim channels that have covered them. 👍👍
I've had my VX-Pro's for well over a month now, and they are absolutely effing brilliant. Solid, incredibly adjustable, smooth and precise. You can set them up to be soft, hard, long travel, short travel, single stage, dual stage. They can be whatever you want. I had a set of Fanatec V3's, upgraded to Asetek Invictas, couldn't stand the Invictas, then got a set of VX-Pro's that are perfect for me. They are fascinatingly smooth as well thanks to the spring based design, no squish or stickyness from elastomers or hydraulic piston seals.
Hi! I just got mine today and for some reason the break pedal is not registering any input when pressing it, the throttle and clutch work just fine, but the break pedal doesn't give me anything above "RAW 650", any work around you know of or you think I just got a faulty pedal...? Thank you and have a nice one! PD. Do you know of a discord server/FB group for simgrade products owners?
@Cevap05 Smoother, and more adjustable. The VX Pros use springs, so you don't get any of that "squishy" sensation that comes with elastomers. Depending on how you set them up they can be either softer or MUCH harder than the V3's, entirely up to you. Highly recommended upgrade over the V3's!
@@johnspencefareal420 hey! At some point I just gave up on it, even uninstalled the software, and after 2 weeks they advised me (support team from simgrade) to change the bolts I used to fix them to the pedal base bc they might’ve been too tall, so I replaced the bolts with smaller ones, re-installed the software and gave it a try again, it worked!, the thing is that the bolt thing seemed a bit suspicious to me, so I swapped the bolts again (to the bigger ones that I initially used) and the pedals kept working well, I kept the bigger bolts and I’ve had no troubles so far, so I couldn’t really tell you what really fixed the issue, might’ve just been the re-installation of the software. Hope it helps even a little bit mate, good luck! (One thing I must say is that even they did reply to all my emails, it took them like 5 business days to reply to each of them)
Yeah, I bought the V3 pedals and I'm just not happy with them. I've been wanting to replace them within a few months of buying them. But pedals are so expensive. Thanks for your comments on these. I'll bite the bullet and buy these.
@YMSimRacing The V3 pedals are too sensitive on the brake pedal. I have to turn sensitivity to 100% in the software and still locking up the brakes in non-ABS cars. It's not super bad, just not happy with the braking.
I watch you race and I'm always paying attention to your braking and throttle inputs and your corner rotation. You are extremely smooth, so the fact that you're keeping these pedals on the rig speaks volumes to me. I've been wanting to replace my pedals but so many choices and I've got so much money tied up in my gear already. So trying to hold off until I know for sure which ones to buy. These might be the ones. Thank you for the video and the honest reviews you do.
Bought these in November, €475, insane. I think they were available for €420 during black friday. They feel so natural below my feet now, completely effortless braking and throttle control. Also perfect for socks. I thought long about pedals with vibration motors but honestly, I don't think I could ask for a better pedal set, they're perfect, not missing anything. I personally don't use the 2 stage braking, I need 100% in many cars for the first moment of max downforce. Also don't need any add-ons, I use them without any baseplate, just mounted on my rig. They are not as tall as the Simlab XP1, so even with smaller feet I can use them without heel support
This is the first " high" quality pedal set I have ever contemplated on buying. The quality of these for $550 is insane to me. Every other company is just so dang expensive that I don't even consider them but give it some time and I might just pull the trigger on these
Great review Dave. I’d add that what’s special about these is they don’t use any elastomers, all are spring based, which is what sold me after CSL V2s. No more stable load / pressure release that’s typical for elastomer pedals. ❤ them
Am now 3 months in with these pedals and I live them. Went from logitc G29 with load cell mod, to Fanatec V3 and than to Simjack Pro. Of all these the VX-PRO'S are the best. It was between these and the P1000 and Race Beyond Matter's video pushed towards the VX-PRO'S
Nice! What do you find different between the vx pros and sim jack pro's! Ive had the sim jack pros for about a year now. Never can get the brake to feel good. They are way better than the g29s I used to have though. I've bought all kinds of mods and am tired of dumping money into them. Thanks
@@malice930 main problem with the simjacks os a design flaw that caused the plate holding the load cell brake to bend. This causes the brake travel to become longer after time and you become inconsistant. I agree with what dave said in this video's about most load cell pedals being fine. The simjacks did their job for most parts. But I was in yhe same boat as you where I was constantly trying to find upgrades to make them better. There comes a point where you just have to tell yourself to get something better. You wont become much quicker with these pedals but I like knowing that my pedals wont just randomly break from use. I'm in the same boat. Looking to upgrade and I've been on the fence with Simagic P1000 or P2000, or something else. The rest of my gear is Simagic, but these pedals.. I'd never heard of them but they look pretty fantastic.
So I went ahead and bit the bullet and ordered these. Much more expensive than I would have liked but hopefully worth it. In USD it was around $668, with about $80 being shipping. Not horrible.
Thanks for the good review as usual Dave. Always appreciate your reviews as like you advise us, tested from the angle of a sim racer, not just a product reviewer 🧡
Yeah love mine, as you say, they're so quiet, I've had Fanatec v3's and VRS pedals and both ended up squeaky and needed cleaning, greasing. Personally I found the yellow brake spring too strong even on lowest setting, I have the red spring now and this is much better for me. I did find the setup odd where there is no real stop point and the two stage feeling Dave said is spot on, it's the same for the throttle too which is weird, but just set 100% just under where you feel the spring fully compress and it's fine (otherwise you may only reach 95% throttle in game). Also the bolt pattern is a little odd so had to drill new holes, also because the front and rear bolts are quite close you need a strong base plate, my old GT Omega Titan's base plate bent from the force. Highly recommend these.
I also find the throttle a bit odd being a load cell & there being no real end point. How are you liking the brake kit? Did you end using the stiffer or softer grove for your spring?
Totally agree with you. Bought the 3- pedal set on last years black friday including tax for 599€ and it´s well spent money. I was a bit doubtful with the loadcell for throttle and clutch, because of the travel way of the throttle especially, but it´s totally fine, totally happy with the pedals
Dave I have had theses since the Early Production purchase was available from Simgrade last year March 2023, Love them have been bullet proof, Definitely BIg Bang for your Buck $$.
Thanks for the video, Dave! I'm currently using Fanatec V3s, which have served me well, but its time to upgrade for some better brake feel. At the moment my pick is the Heusinkveld sprints, but thanks for showing me something else to consider. If anyone has recommendations, or really likes their sprints, let me know!
I have the set of two and I'm very satisfied with them. The brake is in my opinion not really two stage though. It just gets progressively stiffer the further you push. Not like a clear and defined second stage. I run it on the stiffest setting with the yellow spring (there are stiffer and softer springs available but not included) and that works good for me. I tried the softer settings too but then the "second stage" or rather the progressive transition feels a bit mushy to me. I'm nowhere near your level though, so that could be just me. The throttle is really good. The software is anything but intuitive and i haven't managed to load my own pre-saved profiles. Loading the factory profile works just fine, but if I want anything else, I have to re-calibrate and save to device. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but there is not much to it and I wouldn't know what to do differently to make it work. They perform really good but they are also built to budget. The box with the electronics for example is i believe 3d printed and feels very fragile. Compared to other pedals, they have a very small footprint, which I like very much.
@@davecamyt Well, judging by the value in the configuration software, we push about the same, but the reading might be different on our pedals. I will try to increase the threshold, if you think it might help.

The interesting thing about these pedals is they are massively adjustable, so unless someone really really doesn't like the pedal plates then they should be suitable for damn near everyone. I went from Fanatec V3's, to Asetek Invictas, and then to these VX-Pro's. They can be set up softer and longer travel than the Fanatec, or harder and with even shorter travel than the Invicta's, all while being 100% smooth. Another good non review review Dave.
👍
The interesting thing about these pedals is they are massively adjustable, so unless someone really really doesn't like the pedal plates then they should be suitable for damn near everyone. I went from Fanatec V3's, to Asetek Invictas, and then to these VX-Pro's. They can be set up softer and longer travel than the Fanatec, or harder and with even shorter travel than the Invicta's, all while being 100% smooth. Best of all worlds in my opinion, I would not swap these out for anything - and now that I have a Simagic Haptic unit attached to the brake I don't even think I would bother with the Simucube Active pedals.
@@texnorthmanmay I ask how the haptic works, how it connects to the brake pedal and how is it wired up. Is there any software required to run the haptic.
I am very interested in doing exactly as you have done 👍
Thanks for your time.
I got them at pre-order for 199 USD , STEAL. And when I broke a part because I was an idiot, Timo at Simgrade shipped me a new piece for free all the way from Finland to the US. Outstanding !
prices are way higher than you said it shows me 474,81 € for 2set and 650,93€ 3set + tax and shipping
Ya definitely it worth that price
Those images/prices were from the website this morning (29th March) 👍
and when i looked today they where higher like i said same day ^^@@davecamyt
@@davecamyt I just noticed it too, prices show much higher. I think it's because you're visiting the site from the UK so you're seeing the Ex-VAT prices.
Bought the 2 pedal combo in November for 475€ incl. VAT in EU, plus shipping. So the price is pretty stable I’d say
Who really cares how a set of pedals look? They sit under ur desk and u never look at them 😂
2nd?
Pringles
rispetto al prezzo detto costano gia' 120 € in più...
Prices the same when I've just checked 👍
Unless it automatically adds tax wherever you are?
@@davecamyt C'mon Dave, you have to answer that in Italian!!!
1st 😂
547 euro? Simjacks and the many replicas are still the cheapest + best budget option.
Loadcell in throttle and clutch are useless anyways and a way to over charge for nothing special! Plus bland ass metal color to lazy to powder coat them for there price
As I said style preference is subjective 😁
