I love mine but they can develop a squeak which comes and goes and is hard to pin point. Adding a transducer to your pedal plate or the haptics to the pedals will give you that ‘roughness’ and immersion. So many pedals on the market right now, but these are still strong value.
These have been on my short list for a long while.. i think just about anything will be an upgrade to my T-LCMs, but these seem to make the most sense.. repeatability is far more important to me than aesthetics, as is evident that im still driving on a home made wood chassis comprised of salvaged pallets and scraps. Great review here. Its good to know your opinions since i also race Pcup like you do and know what kind of consistency that car needs to be quick and competitive in.
Simgrade buyer here, was so close to getting these but the couple extra dollars saved will go towards other upgrades.. definitely a fan of spring based pedals vs elastomers. My csl v2s always just felt so squishy and I never got them to feel how I liked I was also turned off by VRSs pay to unlock wheel base. I’ll probably even swap to coach dave academy.
As a noobie, I just snagged a used pair of those after trying out the simlabs, the p1000s and the heusinkveld sprints and these are soooooooo good. If you don't have them, they're worth selling your first born child for, without any hesitation
The throttle spring is absolutely perfect as-is, I would argue - it's actually the MAIN reason the throttle is SO smooth! Having said that, I thought the same as you - "What the heck is that throttle spring all about"
Def one of the best set of pedals. I still prefer the p1000s but these are very nice. Its just to hard when the price is so close with 2 pedals and 3 to not choose the set with unlimited custimizability. Aka p1000s. I think these vrs pedals the brake has a really nice trail braking feel without being overly stiff which i frel ee have gotten trapped into this false sales pitch. I know i dont want to be pushing f1 strength brakes when we dont have those massive g forces tranaferring energy helping us. As many may not know an f1 brake is 2x as hard to push when sitting still then in motion. So trying to copy ot doesnt make sense. Ive always felt road car or gt4 brakes are perfect for sim racers. Insane trail braking potential. Thats another thing you dont trail brake as much in a real f1 car as you go gt4 or gt3 so again why would I want a brake that stiff? Even if based on pressure ive always felt i have 3x the control with a little travel. I can feel my points mixed with pressure and lock in. Ive always always been faster with brakes that have a bit of travel. Look at simucube and moza active pedals. They have more then most and the result show with trail braking. But if you arent a big trail braker then i get it.
@indypepe9181 both can be made equally soft tbh as long as you buy the 20 dollar spring kit for the p1000s. But vrs out of the box brake may be perfect. Has the perfect travel for a softer brake. Remember all load cell brakes are still stiff its for control and readings. But the vrs one is about as perfect as it gets at 65kg for people who want a softer brake. I do love my p1000s though and all of the options to find your preference because it changes as you use pedals and having that option helps alot! You can even get hydraulics later for it if you wanted. The two yellow springs make a very very soft brake for me a bit to soft red and yellow is about perfect imo.
@indypepe9181 depends do you have a rig with s pesal tray? The vrs come as separate pedals in the set without a tray or heelplate the p1000s come with the tray and heelplate. Also do you have a rig that can adjust up and down where the pedals go? Because both sit pretty straight. You can adjust both though luckily. So there are alot of variables alot of people don't mention. If you need a pedal tray or plate for your feet then get the p1000s. If you can afford it then get the inverted p1000s best angle of any pedals. Goated perfection for comfort with the inverted set. Or you can get the vrs if you have a rig that doesn't need the tray.
Have had mine since day 1 of release... Had a load cell die after a few months and they immediately shipped me an entire replacement pedal. Just had to ship back the other unit. Otherwise they have been flawless. Can't believe someone would ever have a complaint a pedal set is "clinical" and be easy to repeat inputs time and again. Lol.
how do these stack up the fanatec's clubsport pedals v3 or other load cells? I cant imagine that a spring feels as nice or has the adjust ability of a load cell.
@@markraymonds513 I like to review things, and last couple months I've been using VRS. Next few weeks it'll be Asetek/Simucube. @@dannyleeracing its more precised , my p1000 FRS was not clinical as this one And load cell on p1000 is drifting. Lol bro I still not adjusted that top rod on the brake. And yeah I also mounted p1x pedal plate as you did.

I have had my set for over a year and absolutely love them. Added the Simagic haptic motors and they are fire!
Where did you find the brakets for the simagic haptics to fit on to VRS pedals? Link maybe?

Just started watching and glad you did this. VRS is what i’m going for now i have ordered my rig
You need to add the simagic haptic feedback motor to the brake Danny. Game changing add-on and cheap as chips.
I need to do this. How do you mount them?

I currently have VNM with all of the upgrades & VRS, can't decide on either tbh
Thanks, I was waiting....
Hey Danny, can you make a video about the P1000s with the hydraulic upgrades and the upgraded spring/elastomer brake kit?
I would love to know, after so long and so many questions asked.. why haven't they updated that janky throttle spring?

They are load cell. The different materials spring/elastomers are what transfer the pedal pressure to the load cell. These use springs only.
V3's are no where near the same ball park as these.
