another reason why i've said the dragon incantations are trash. high cost, extremely high risk, they have no range and take 5 seconds to cast, and, if that wasnt enough, you cant just poise through a hit, any strike will knock you out the animation. rykards lil fire tick that does basically nothing knocks you out the animation. tried so hard to make a named dragon build work. still holding that L

Since Dark 1 I’ve seen those team Gladly, there was hornet ring and you can 1 hit everyone. They were so salty about that ring until From Software no longer used it
Good Question! I use Elden Stars to close the gap, so ranged casters would have a lot of trouble keeping their distance. This build is very aggressive and as soon as Elden Stars is tracking, rushing in with Golden Land while they roll-spam will catch them inbetween the rolls. In addition, Golden Land has i frames that dont cancel the cast since its an Ash-of-War. So once you are close, it’s pretty much game over. So far, I havent met much that counters this. My hardest fights were against dex/bleed builds, other than that it’s pretty solid. Hope this helps!

Wow I never knew that the animation for the By My Sword gesture is different depending on what weapon you're holding. I mean it's pretty obvious when you think about it, but I've only ever done the gesture while holding a straight sword.
I'm currently doing my second elden ring run Holy Golden paladín And Golden Land is amazing I use it with the Troll's Golden Sword And holy cow that combination hits hard PVP or PVE is a solid choice I have a zweihander +22 And still the Troll's Golden Sword +15 with golden land deals more damage Also I love that many people don't seems to know that golden land can produce the Golden darts or that you can follow up the ash of War with a second strike
It's such a sharp divide from Dark Souls, where Faith was a meme build and always felt severely underpowered That's the power of having your Gods still around, I guess.

Soy astrologo pero no me acomodo con varios hechizos, no siento tanta flexibilidad al combinar magia con ataque a melee como estoy haciendo, en especial contra jefes o enemigos que te castigan por estar a gran distancia, al menos con fe más fuerza puedes atacar de frente y a distancia
Invasions are fucking irritating in this game. They stack the odds against you so goddamn high I just don’t try anymore. Ganks we’re fun in DS3 because of stun lock. But that is absent and you can’t crowd control anymore.
1 guy I met 3 times in a day kept destroying me using Elden Stars then followed up with pest threads and Honed bolts when I tell u I can’t do anything against it and my character is level 200+.
Elden stars chip damage isn’t really a threat. You can basically just ignore the rest and only focus on avoiding the big end blast and any attacks the host goes for. Even better if you have faith yourself. Can cast a regen spell to out heal the chip, or just cast a holy damage negation miracle.

I chose DEX/INT for my first playthrough, since apparently magic was EZ MODE. My last 4 NG+ have all been STR/FAI. Faith is just too damn good.

Golden land is so cool, I was planning on using it for my faith build before I even saw this video.
You have to cosplay a pope if you like to play as a faith build, is a pre-requisite.
I usually run golden land on my celebrant's skull, since that's my favorite weapon. Before that it was golden slam. Wish I could combine the two...
Word of advice: Don't gang up on the guy with the the big-ass sword.

@@iAnorak Yeah. I've given up on them except for the fire and ice regular dragon incants. Use them mostly for crowd control in small areas.
Sorceries are for raw damage, incantations are for flexibility
incantations are also cooler
Incantations are also for those who don't like hauling a random twig around just to cast spells
