Godfrey's bit is more like pro-wrestling where the heel allows the face to hit him a bunch of times to show how unstoppable he is, before one-handed choke slamming him to the ground. His second phase is quite literally throwing hands in a grappler style.

I think some bosses, like Placidusax and Astel, have some kind of anti-stunlock ability that allows them to escape if they're staggered too many times in a row.

Well, I’d say it has something to do with the fact that ER’s ai is meant to be fighting just a handful of people, not a small militia. I’m sure with a switch in tactics, some of these results would be different. Like, radagon just lets himself get surrounded and pinned.
Clearly, this video is false presentation of boss's strength. The only reason the soldiers are winning in some battles is because the boss doesn't acknowledge them as a group. If not, the boss wouldnt be trying to close distance between themselves and the enemies as if its a 1v1 battle. These bosses are programmed to battle a tarnished which is a solo player and has specific sets of move and you can notice how good the AI is when fighting these bosses, they can input read and do combos effectively to make you cry. If the bosses had some conscience as in game storytelling, they would have sweeped the floor with hundreds of such soldiers just by keeping a distance and spamming AOE attacks.

During my playthrough, i roleplayed that my character started off as a soldier of godrick (since it was one of the first armors I got). I love to think this is what would've happened if I unionized all my fellow soldier companions and we rose up to elden lords together.

Real question, how strong exactly was the boss Soldier of Godrick compared to his overworld mob counterpart? Is he stronger than the strongest Soldier of Godrick mob? (If these guys even vary in levels)
I actually don't know. Looking at the game's data, there are 46 different NpcParams for Soldier of Godrick, I don't know if all of them are used. All of them except one (not the Boss) have the same base HP, but different modifiers. That one exception has a higher base HP, but I don't know if that one is used in the game.

@@yuukihanato9691 Godrick Soldiers don't have much hp or rot resist. Even if they do a lot of damage, they won't survive the Aeonia without serious hp and rot resistance buffs.

This just goes to show the drastic difficulty change from the first half to second half of the game.
Real question, how strong exactly was the boss Soldier of Godrick compared to his overworld mob counterpart? Is he stronger than the strongest Soldier of Godrick mob? (If these guys even vary in levels)
I actually don't know. Looking at the game's data, there are 46 different NpcParams for Soldier of Godrick, I don't know if all of them are used. All of them except one (not the Boss) have the same base HP, but different modifiers. That one exception has a higher base HP, but I don't know if that one is used in the game.
