Then they forgot how to make anything else and failed in every other global market and stopped selling sedans in the US. 99% of people don't need a truck, but Fords entire strategy is to trick people into thinking the f150 is the only option. The marketing even forced them to do things like make the trucks have terrible visibility, bumpers too high to do anything, super high centers of gravity that make the trucks trash at handling, and awful aero that make them super fuel hungry. Trucks are so badly designed these days and 90% of them never haul anything heavier than groceries.

@@lowtech_1 My EV has a 281-mile range at 80% to 10%. Plenty of range for me and I charge to 100% for a long trip. 100% to 10% or 361 miles of range. ICE is similar in that you rarely start out a trip with a full tank, and you really don't want to use that last 10% to avoid the sludge in the gas tank and/or worry about finding a gas station when the low fuel light comes on.
That's a real blow Recaro is a household name and well loved by many people including me. The Ford Maverick has put Hybrids in the spotlight again with the pickup a runaway success for Ford. And with the AWD Hybrid Maverick available for 2025 the advantages of these types of reasonably priced trucks is well understood and appreciated. The emphasis has been taken off Tesla and EV vehicles with the many advantages of Hybrid vehicles in the spotlight once again. 😎🇦🇺👍

On Ford website their cheapest truck is the Maverick for under $24k, and their SUV Escape and Bronco sport is under $30k. Since they don't sell sedans except for the Mustang, or a small compact SUV/crossover, they don't have anything under $25 thousand dollars. They need to fix that.
